Chapter 4

Chapter 4

Shadow walked into the garden deep in thought about Alia.

“She is intriguing to you.”

Shadow looked up slightly to look into False’s grey eyes. “She thinks I hate all Oomans.”

False grunted. “Because Brack was killed by them.”

“Yes”

False growled at Shadow. “Brack was a worthless Yautja I don’t know how he became a Hunter. You are that good to have survived being his partner for so long.”

“He was not worthless False.”

“He was worthless. He put you in danger too many times Ka’leb. Once I had to come to your aid because he angered that clan that lived over the waterfall.”

Shadow smiled. “You did not like them anyway.”

False grunted in amusement. “Yes but that is not the point Ka’leb. He was bad and deserved to die like he did.”

“He was my friend.” Shadow turned towards the blue lake to their left.

“He was not your friend Ka’leb.”

The Hunter faced False.

“He wanted me to kill you and he would bring a female to me. Your mother as my mate. He would lure them here because of your death and I would kill Bay and take her.”

Shadow growled. “Did you kill him False?”

The Half-breed stood his full height of ten feet and looked down at Ka’leb. “You remember we were splitting up and surrounding the Bad bloods that were tormenting some of the other clans that used to live here. Your friend doubled back after you and aimed his canon at your back.”

Shadow remembered back to that day and that something seemed wrong to him, it was a constant feeling of doom and instead of leaping over a fallen log he bent down to go under it and he remembered seeing a red triangle on the tree ahead of him and then it disappeared.

Shadow looked down.

“He was going to kill you so Kayco told me. He can understand more than you think. I sent him and Eli to my position and I went to see if it was true and there he was standing there ready to kill you. So I pierced his skull with my tail and the same Bad bloods that had paid him to kill you told you that the Oomans did it.”

Shadow looked up at False.

“He was not your friend.”

Shadow placed his hand over False’s heart.

The soft scent of a female filled the air as a slight breeze flowed through the garden.
Shadow removed his hand from False’s chest and looked over at her. She was still wearing the ceremonial dress.

“Thank you for doing that even though you were afraid.” False purred.

Shadow had never heard him purr at anyone. He grunted.

Alia smiled. “I wasn’t afraid of them I was afraid of what my parents would think of me if I had to kill on the first day I got here.”

False moved towards her. Alia stared up at the ten-foot tall half-breed. He was part Alien and part Yautja.

“I am still thankful you acted in such a manner.”

Alia heard rustling behind her. False growled and Kayco came out of the garden.
The hard meat stood beside Alia staring at her intently.

Shadow chuckled. “You have a pet.”

Alia moved slightly away from him. “My mother said that there were other Yautja; here where are they?”

“We sent them away until when the Warships came. They will be returning tonight.”

Rito came into the garden. “Elder Gar’net is on the imager.”

Shadow allowed Alia in his room to speak with Gar’net about the happenings of today.
Gar’net and Lia’kon could be seen in the council room from Shadow’s imager.

“We received reports from Ty’el that the ships have left Ruen’s orbit and have headed home. What type of tactic did you employ?”

“The aggressive kind. It is all the Oomans here would understand.” Shadow growled. Alia looked at him then back at the imager.

“Alia what did they have to say?”

“They will investigate the bodies with us tomorrow and Shadow will determine if it was by Alien or Ooman.”
Shadow looked at her as she spoke or mimicked their form of speech.Alia watched him from the corner of her eye. What is he looking at?

“I am pleased to hear that. You have done a good thing Alia.”

She smiled.

“We will expect a report tomorrow also.”

“Yes Elder.” Alia said. Lia’kon smiled at her and the imager went black. Shadow was still staring at her when Alia stood and faced him.

“I will see you tomorrow then.”

She felt a very strong grip on her wrist. “Where are you going?”

“I want to see this place.”

Shadow stood. “I will come with you.”

“I don’t think I will be harmed here.”

“I do not hate Oomans. How could I love Lex and hate Oomans?”

Alia looked up at him. “I know you love my mother.”

“Your brothers are another story.”

Alia chuckled at him. He pulled her closer.

What was wrong with him? He felt as if he was not himself; like something was taking over and he didn’t know what it was.

Alia put her hand on his chest to stop him from pulling her closer. His breathing became deeper as he stared down into her beautiful purple eyes.

“Shadow” Her voice reverberated in his mind.

His lips were suddenly on hers and the roughness of his kiss made her whimper. His grip around her waist tightened. Alia pushed at his chest until her back slammed into the wall behind her. Shadow growled against her mouth and began thrusting against her. His mind and body were working as one to have this female.

Alia’s broken cries filled the room. His free hand slid down her body and between the slits in her dress and she felt the thin strip of material covering her suddenly moist flesh being pulled to the side. She began to struggle harder. He stopped moving against her and took her from the wall, slammed her on his bed, and removed his loincloth while holding her down.

“Shadow!” Alia frantically pushed at his chest when she felt the massive size of his flesh pushing at her entrance.

Shadow looked down into her eyes to see tears there and he pulled away, grabbed his loincloth, and turned away from her.

“I don’t know why I did that.”

Alia sat up on the bed and then walked out of the room.

The garden was massive and beautiful with vibrant colors and…

A roar of Shadow’s name filled the air and a blur of blue on green skin knocked Alia to the ground. Shadow caught the loud female in his arms and held her from the ground. Alia frowned at them as she stood.

The female turned to her. She purred at Shadow.

“What is this Ooman doing here?”

“I’m here to stop a war on your behalf.”

The female looked stunned that this Ooman could speak their language.

“Hara this is Alia; she is from Ship Man’this.”

Hara looked Alia over in the ceremonial attire. “Why are you wearing that?”

Alia frowned at her. “Because I had to.”

Shadow released Hara. Hara looked at him. “I am so glad you came back.”

Alia rolled her eyes and walked further into the garden. Shadow watched her leave. Hara rubbed her body against his.

“Come with me.”

Shadow saw movement around Alia. “Alia wait.”

She turned as the hard meats came from the garden about ten of them. Hara smiled because their posture was one of attack.

Shadow moved forward and growled at them. They turned and looked back at Shadow and moved away from her all but one.

Alia looked up at this hard meat with the blue diamond on his chest. He moved closer; scenting her.

Hara smiled. “Eli won’t hurt her.” She purred at Shadow trying to drag him towards the castle.

Alia pushed the razor sharp talons from her body as the speared tail moved under the skirt unknowingly to Alia. Shadow pulled away roughly from Hara.

Alia shoved Eli back when she felt the spear rub gently against the inside of her thigh.
Eli hissed at her and then an arm came around his neck from behind. The hard meat screeched in pain as Shadow applied pressure. Eli removed his tail and Shadow released him. Eli backed away from the angry Yautja.

Hara came to them. “He was just curious about the Ooman Shadow.”

Shadow went to Alia. “Are you bleeding?”

Alia did not want him to check. “No”

He smelled blood. “You are bleeding.”

Alia moved away from him. “I’ll check you finish your conversation with Hara.”

Shadow grabbed her by the wrist and dragged her to the castle.

He pulled her back into his room and forced her to sit on the bed.

“Why are treating me like I am a child?”

Shadow grunted.

“I am not weak. I just have sensitive skin.” She spoke in Ooman language.

Shadow began pulling open one of the slits on the skirt. Alia shoved his hands away.
“There will not be a second time you touch me.”

Shadow smiled at her and forced her down on the bed with his hand on her stomach.
Alia felt his warm hand touch her thigh and travel towards the inside.

“Is that necessary!” She squirmed.

Shadow marveled at the light brown skin. The scrap was minor and had stopped bleeding.
Alia tried to kick him away. Shadow moved back. She sat up.

“I’m sure Hara would like for you to touch her that way but I do not.”

Shadow stood. “You let me.”

“I did not know you were going to do that.”

Shadow pulled her to her feet. “I did not mean to scare you earlier.”

Alia looked up at him. “You are very strong and I could not stop you.”

His purr vibrated her body. Her eyes closed as calming sensations ran through her body.
This is what he wanted to do to her in the garden but Hara made that difficult. He could smell her arousal.

“You are very beautiful.” Alia sighed when his mandibles scraped her neck.

Kayco appeared in the window and screeched.

Alia’s eyes flew open and she pulled away from him breathing fast and short.

“I’m going to my room.” She quickly departed.

Shadow looked at Kayco and snarled.

Alia paced her room running her hands through her hair. She wanted him to touch her and come inside her body. Sure, it would have hurt A LOT, but it was Ka’leb. Her secret desire that only one person knew about. She sighed and sat on her bed. Her parents did not send her here to sleep with anyone. They sent her here to save False and that was what she was going to do.

Another fighter touched down on Planet Ruen just before dinner that evening.
Eli led the group of three into the dining hall. Alia heard a growl from Rito and Myx.
Sal’van and his two pilots stood in the doorway.

Sal’van was Mal’s son and Rito and Myx did not like any of his offspring.

“I heard you were here Alia and I have come to lend my assistance.”
His purr was like liquid heat that would burn you if you weren’t careful. He wanted very badly to burn Alia.

Shadow watched the boastful Yautja moving towards Alia as if he knew she would not deny his help and she shouldn’t they were out numbered and he was a warrior.

Shadow watched Sal’van move her hair from her face and Alia gently moved his hand away. However, Sal’van would not be denied touching her. His hand rested on her bare shoulder. Alia looked at his hand and removed it from her shoulder.

Shadow had made his decision. He did not like the Yautja.

“Alia may I have a word with you?”

Alia stopped at her door as Sal’van approached.

“How are you being treated?”

Alia raised an eyebrow when he stopped his approach and stood inches from touching her. “I am well.”

“Are you sure Shadow is protecting you?”

“I don’t require as much protection as you think.”

Sal’van purred at her, as he looked her over. “I hope his hatred of Oomans does not cause him to see you as an enemy.” Alia moved back until she touched her door. “I will be there to stop him if that happens.”

He purred into her neck. The vibrations caused her to tremble.

Growls at the end of the hallway made Sal’van raise his head and look in that direction.
Shadow was approaching and his body language left no doubt in Alia’s mind what he was going to do. Hard meats appeared from every direction in a threatening posture.

Shadow growled in Sal’van’s face with a promise of blood shed if he ever touched Alia again. False roared from the end of the hallway.

“We need cooperation at least among ourselves. Please rest now.”

Shadow stood there staring down Sal’van. Mal’s son looked at Alia and then walked away.

Shadow opened her door and waited for her to walk inside. Alia backed inside and closed the door.
