Bull's Eye Pub

Note from the author: This chapter includes the lyrics of Baby it's You by Smith. I know that using song lyrics in a story is a death sentence more often than not but I felt it would be more effective if the song were included in the scene.

Chapter Four

The pub wasn’t any more crowded than it usually was and Rusty spotted an open round booth in the very back.

“Hey Dallas, get us a round of beers, we’re gonna go sit down.” He said glancing back at his friend. Dallas nodded and walked to the bar, still unable to take his eyes off of the stunning beauty that followed Rusty to back of the pub. Finally he looked at the bartender who was placing two shots in front of a couple of girls sitting at the bar. One of them turned to look at him when he spoke.

“Can I get three long necks? Uh, Rolling Rock is fine.” He told the bartender who nodded and left to fetch the beers. He looked to his left to find one of the girls smiling at him sensually and he smiled back.

“Nicole” she said. “That’s Amber” she motioned to the brunette sitting next to her. He nodded a hello to her friend and turned to face Nicole completely.

“You girls want some company?” he asked silently thanking the heavens that he’d found a distraction from Butterfly…at least for tonight. Nicole’s smile grew wider.

“Sure” she said softly. Just then the bartender returned and placed the beers in front of Dallas.

“That’s fifteen. You wanna open a tab?” he asked as he opened each bottle.

“Yeah.” Dallas replied taking the three beers in one hand and motioning for the two girls to follow him. “We’re in the back at the round booth.” He said to the bartender as the girls walked in front of him. The bartender nodded to him and punched the tab into the computer. As they neared the table, he noticed Butterfly wasn’t there. “Hey where’d your cousin go?” he asked as he set the beers on the table.

“To the bathroom” Rusty replied giving him a questioned look when he noticed the two girls beside Dallas.

“This is Nicole” he said putting his arm around the blonde girls shoulders. “And this is her friend Amber. Amber this is Rusty.” He gestured to the brunette.

“Hey Rusty” Amber waved giving Rusty a seductive smirk.

“Hey” Rusty replied giving her a half smile back and standing from the booth so she could sit down. She took his invitation and scooted deep into the booth. He slid in next to her and instinctively draped his arm behind her, resting it on the back of booth. Dallas slid into the other side of the booth and lifted his right arm inviting Nicole to sit against his side; she did. He took a long pull from his beer just as Butterfly came out of the bathroom and began walking towards the table. She noticed the girls sitting with them and a hint of jealous rage surged through her body at the fact that they’d dumped her down to the fifth wheel. Smiling to herself she made up her mind. So you wanna play, huh boys? Fine, I can play games. She thought as she approached the four at the table.

“Butterfly, this is Nicole and Amber” Dallas offered, smiling smugly up at her.

“Ladies.” She replied, swiping one of the beer bottles from the table. “I’m gonna go check out the jukebox. You boys have fun.” With that, she turned and stalked towards the multicolored music box that held it’s place next to the bar, leaning on it sensually as she glanced through the selections.

“Is that your girlfriend?” Nicole asked noticing the small fire that radiated in Butterfly’s glare that was too subtle for anyone else to have noticed. Dallas looked down at her.

“No, that’s Rusty’s baby cousin.” He replied putting a slight emphasis on the word “baby”. Nicole nodded softly and left it at that, leaning into Dallas’ frame as he took another pull from his Rolling Rock.

She ran her slender fingers through her wild waves of jet black hair as she perused the selections on the jukebox. Smiling to herself when she found one of her favorite songs; she made her selection and waited patiently as the jukebox clicked a couple of times before Baby It’s You sounded from the speakers and she softly began swaying her curvy hips to the melody. She could feel most of the eyes in the pub on her as she danced away from the jukebox.

It’s not the way you smile that touched my heart.

It’s not the way you kiss that tears me apart.

Many, many, many nights go by,

I sit alone at home and cry over you.

What can I do?

Don’t want nobody, nobody…

Baby it’s you, Baby it’s you

Stealing a glance at the table where her party sat, she could see Rusty telling Nicole and Amber a story and Dallas staring right at her. She swung around and took a sip from her beer as she continued to sway. She looked to the bar where most of the men were staring at her open mouthed and one of them stood as he met her eyes and stalked towards her, drink in hand.

Is it true what they say all about you?

They say you’ll never, ever never be true.

It doesn’t matter what they say,

I know I’m gonna love you any old way.

What can I do?

Without you…

Don’t want nobody, nobody…

Baby it’s you, baby it’s you…

Baby…

As he neared her, the look in her eyes became teasingly lustful, silently inviting him to join her in the sensual dance. He melded his hips against hers and swayed in time to pulse of Smith’s bellowing voice radiating from the jukebox. She turned slowly to face away from him and her movements became more distinct and slow as she rubbed her backside into his groin, letting her free hand slide up to grab a hand full of his dark spiked hair while she allowed her eyes to slowly close and her head leaned back on his shoulder. His head dipped and his lips caressed her neck as they moved together. Lifting her head and opening her eyes, her gaze once again met that of Dallas’ and she could see the hint of jealousy splayed across his sculptured features.

It doesn’t matter what they say,

I know I’m gonna love you any old way.

What can I do?

Without you…

Don’t want nobody, nobody…

Baby it’s you, baby it’s you.

She smiled again to herself, turning back to face the tall broad shouldered being that ran his drink free hand down to subtly caress the top of her smooth bottom. Her eyes met his once again as she wound her slender arms around his neck and allowed him to lead her in their movements. She brought her beer bottle back to her lips, never missing a beat with her hips, and took another long pull as the song faded and the pub was once again flooded with only the sounds of conversations throughout the establishment. She smiled up at the young man before her.

“Thanks for the dance, handsome” she said, her thick accent radiating in the words.

“No problem, gorgeous. I’m AJ” he offered “What’s your name?”

“Hey there, AJ, I’m Butterfly…” she half whispered.

“Well Butterfly, can I buy you a drink?” he offered glancing down at her half empty beer bottle.

“I’d love one” she replied, following him back to his place at the bar. They sat and he motioned to the bartender to bring them a round.

“So…” he began leaning in closer to her, glancing down at the smooth length of her neck “Is Butterfly your real name?”

“Yes it is.” She responded imitating his move which left his face mere inches from his.

“How’d you get such a pretty name?” he asked softly.

“My mom had a few years being a hippie…which was about the time I came along”

“I see. Pretty name” he complimented

“Thanks.” She replied smiling up him softly.

“Where’re you from?”

“Brooklyn.”

“Just visiting huh?” he assumed, a little disappointment lingering in his tone.

“Just moved.” She replied smiling sweetly. He smiled back her, his face lighting up at her words.

“My lucky night.”

“Maybe…” she challenged as another beer bottle was placed in front of her. She gulped down the rest of the first one; not taking her eyes off of AJ’s until she’d swallowed all that was left of the alcohol before she reached for the second one. He lifted his fresh bottle to her and they clonked necks before taking a sip.

Back at the table, Rusty and Amber kissed as Dallas spoke to Nicole.

“Anyway, the moral of the story here is that I did nothing wrong.” He insisted. “I did nothing wrong. I’m the innocent sweet little angel and this guy was getting me in trouble ever single night…”

“Bullshit…” he heard Rusty say.

“Bullshit?” he challenged.

“You’re full of shit…” Rusty continued.

“Pal…” Dallas began.

“I call bullshit!!” Rusty shouted. “Bullshit in this bar!!”

“He calls bullshit in this bar!!!” Dallas echoed.

“BULLSHIT!!” Rusty screamed slamming his palm hard onto the table causing the beer bottles to fall over and spill onto the table as the girls screamed and laughed. “Oh shit…” Rusty sighed looking around for a few seconds and then turning back to Dallas who was nibbling Nicole’s neck, his fingers buried down the front of her pants. “Where’s Butterfly man?” He asked, suddenly becoming a bit more sober. Dallas shrugged not taking his mouth away from the blonde’s neck, refusing to allow Butterfly to cloud his mind yet again. Nicole giggled and grabbed his hand, pulling his fingers from her jeans.

“I have to go to the bathroom” she said pulling away from Dallas’ mouth and running her hand down his chest to his crotch to give him a teasing squeeze before she jumped up from the booth, giggling. “Come on, Amber” she called the other girl who climbed over Rusty and followed her friend to the bathroom.

“Fuck” Dallas spat lifting his bottle up to take a pull of his beer only to realize it was empty. He looked around for the cocktail waitress that had been saving him all night from going back up to the bar…where she was…but to no avail. Sighing he cleared his throat and looked to Rusty who was still searching for his cousin. “I’m gonna go get another beer, you want one?” he asked.

“Yeah, see if you see Butterfly, will you?” he asked. “And bring some more shots”

“Fine” Dallas retorted as he pushed himself up from the booth and stalked to the bar where he saw Butterfly and the guy she’d been dancing with deep in conversation. He glared at the skinny, tall male as he watched him pull the smaller girl towards him and bite her neck playfully. She threw her head back and laughed softly before taking another pull from her second beer.

“What can I get you, man?” the bartender asked.

“Uh two more and four shots of patron with limes.” He replied before looking back at Butterfly and the guy. AJ was now kissing her neck and she had her hand behind his head, encouraging him but was staring right at Dallas, her face a portrait of sensuality. He stared back for a few seconds but snapped his gaze back to the bartender. “Can you just have them sent to the table?” he asked not being able to stand it anymore. The bartender nodded and he turned on his heel and practically ran back to the table where the girls and Rusty were waiting for him.

“Where are the drinks?” Rusty asked.

“They’re comin’” Dallas replied sitting next to Nicole and throwing his arm around her shoulders.

“And Butterfly?” Rusty continued.

“She’s at the bar with some guy” Dallas spat, annoyed.

“What guy?” Rusty demanded.

“Some guy, bro. I don’t know.” Dallas retorted, frustration in his tone. Rusty got up and walked to the bar, searching for his cousin and finally finding her making out with some strange man.

“Hey!” he called out. Butterfly pulled away from AJ and looked back at Rusty.

“Hey. What’s up?” she asked casually, stepping back from between AJ’s knees.

“Come on, come have a drink with us.” He offered.

“Alright. Rusty this is AJ, AJ-Rusty; my cousin.” She replied leaning back so the two men could shake hands.

“Hey, nice to meet you” AJ said. Disappointment striking him slightly as he learned that the stunning beauty named Butterfly wasn’t alone at the pub.

“Yeah you too.” Rusty replied. “Come on, baby B. We got a lot of catching up to do.” He said throwing his arm around his cousin and guiding her back to their table glancing back at AJ signaling him that he was invited to join them. AJ followed the two close behind, not taking his brown eyes from Butterfly’s tight ass that swayed to and fro as she walked.

Dallas looked up from Nicole’s face in time to see the three walking towards the table and noticed the guy behind Butterfly ogling her body. His fist clenched and unclenched under the table and his stare became threatening until the cocktail waitress brought their drinks over and set them down in front of Dallas.

“Can we have two more shots?” Rusty asked her as Butterfly and AJ sat opposite the booth on the two chairs at the round table. Dallas forced a smile as he looked down at the blonde in his arms and he could see Butterfly watching them from the corner of his eye. He bent and kissed Nicole, once again moving his hand to the front of her jeans where he let his fingers lightly sweep over her clothed mound. Nicole let a moaned sigh escape as she deepened the kiss. “Hey you still wanna play pool, B?” Rusty asked not noticing the couple next to he and Amber. Butterfly placed her attention on her cousin and smiled.

“Yeah, sure. Where’s the pool table?” she replied.

“Back there. You wanna come watch us babe?” he asked Amber.

“No, I’m gonna stay.” She replied despite the swats of protest she felt from Nicole who was still sucking Dallas’ tongue.

“I’ll stay with you” AJ offered before looking back to Butterfly and giving her a wink. “Kick ass” he said leaning in to kiss her cheek lightly. She smiled back at him.

“I think I will” she replied standing up to follow her cousin to the pool tables.

“Hey Dallas, we’re gonna play pool, man. You comin’?” Rusty asked though he was pretty sure he knew the answer already. Dallas waved him away not taking his mouth from Nicole’s.

“Aw, Rus, you should know better. I’m sure he doesn’t want to loose to a girl in front of everyone.” Butterfly instigated. At that, Dallas tore his face away from Nicole’s.

“What’d you say?” he asked.

“You heard me. It’s a good idea to stay here, I wouldn’t wanna embarrass you in front of your girl.” She continued as the others at the table “oh”ed at her challenge. He got up from the table and moved to stand directly in front of her.

“You gonna put your money where your mouth is?” he challenged back, his heart pounding with the feel of her radiating heated skin so close to his.

“What are you saying? You wanna make a bet?” she asked.

“Yeah. A bet. Not scared are you?”

“Of you? Please.” She retorted walking back towards the pool tables. He followed her and continued his challenge. Rusty followed close behind, an amused smile displayed across his face.

“One game, little one, winner takes all.” He said. She stopped at the first table and turned to face him, leaning back on the table.

“What are the terms?” she asked. “If I win, what do I get?”

“What do you want?” he asked, shrugging.

“Your car.” She said plainly. “I want your car.” He looked towards the parking lot where it was parked It was a piece of shit car but it was his. He thought for a moment and then smiled.

“Fine.” He said before replying “And if I win…” he walked up to her until their bodies were barely touching, leaning his head down he added “You gotta give me a lap dance, right here.” She gasped at his request and felt a shiver go down her stomach to her groin before she met his eyes daringly.

“Deal.” She spat extending her hand to him. He took her hand, shook it and gave her a half smile.

“Rack the balls” he said, the words causing a tremble in his member and then another as he watched her bend to extract the balls from under the table and into the rack. This should be fun. He thought as he grabbed a cue.
