When Ravalo woke, he wasn’t in any bed he recognized.
And he didn’t know his bedmates, either. He vaguely remembered doing them last night, in the corridor. Hadn’t he been on his way to his rooms? It was hard ot remember. They were apparently brothers, sleek and similar, like well-fed cats.
He petted one, and he woke, blinking at Ravalo. He turned and woke his brother.
“Thero. He’s awake.”
The brother woke. “Who?”
“Tad’s loverboy.”
“We’re not going to get into trouble with Tad, are we?”
“Last I saw, he was too busy to care.”
“So what do we do with the little one?” They looked at Ravalo.
“Take me home.” He whispered.
