Part IV - Deliverance

TITLE: Slave to Love, 4/7
AUTHOR: Ginny Powell
SUMMARY: A few weeks after Ep1, Obi and Anakin are visited
by strange dreams.
TYPE: Romance, het smut, with a mystery plot
RATING: NC-17, from page 1 (I am so proud of myself ;-)
PAIRING: Obi/OFC

WARNINGS: Explicit sex. Wait a minute, that’s not a
warning, that’s an incentive!

DAIMEAIMER: I don’t own them, but I’m sure George Lucas’
Mommy taught him to share his toys, especially the pretty
ones. No Jedi were harmed in the writing of this fic; in
fact, several had a very good time.

CRITIQUE: I’m always interested in improving, so if you
spot something stupid, tell me. Or if you really like a
certain line, tell me. On or off list is fine.

Part IV – Deliverance

Obi-Wan turned to his Padawan, who was pushing back in the
pilot’s chair as far as he could get from Juckolda’s image,
even when the transmission ended and that image
disappeared. How had Anakin dreamed of Juckolda? he
wondered. For that matter, how did I? But there was no
time to ponder that right now. Juckolda’s threat kept
repeating in his ears.

“Listen carefully, Anakin,” the Master began, using all his
mental power to make his Padawan focus on what he had to
tell him. “You will set me down there,” he pointed, “by
the front entrance. Then you will proceed to do another
full sweep of the planet. We may have missed something
else. Scan for shield frequencies near those we found on
the house. We will meet up again at an oasis due south of
here. Any questions?”

Anakin shook his head, firmly in the grip of his Master’s
mind control.

“Then let’s do it,” Obi-Wan intoned grimly.

Anakin performed as ordered, sliding to a stop on the sandy
ground just in front of the house only long enough for Obi-
Wan to jump out, before taking off again to start his
sweep. Obi-Wan kept low as he jogged towards the house,
his light saber in his hand but unlit. As the Vigor moved
out of range, an eerie quiet settled over the area. He
reached the door. It swung open at a touch. No need for
easily bypassed locks when you’ve already got a shield and
a dozen cannons protecting the place, Obi-Wan supposed. He
stepped inside.

Immediately he recognized the great room from his dreams.
Or perhaps they would better be called visions. Everything
was exactly as he expected it, down to the Dark Force he
could sense approaching. Automatically, with a flick of
Force, Obi-Wan sent the statue falling from its high perch
to smash into Juckolda’s head just as it emerged from the
door. He fell sprawling to the floor and lay still. Obi-
Wan stood up from his battle-ready crouch, one corner of
his mouth turning up in wry humor at the ease with which
his opponent had been dispatched. Then he felt Light Force
energy to his right.

“Sekina.”

“Obi-Wan, you have really come at last!” And she was
running across the room, flinging her arms about his neck,
kissing his cheeks. Then she pulled back, glanced at
Juckolda’s still form. “Is he…?”

“He’s alive,” Obi-Wan replied, ducking out of her arms and
reaching to retrieve the coding device from Juckolda’s
belt. Sekina saw what he was doing, turned. They both
knew what to do, had done it before, Obi-Wan reflected as
the device in his hand beeped. In a strange way, it was
more like a dream than the dreams had been. Automatically,
he took her hand and started for the hangar.

“Wait,” she pulled back, stopping him. “I found the
explosives.”

“Show me.”

She led him to the door from which Juckolda had emerged, so
that they had to step across him to get through, then
through several twists and turns. As they went, part of
Obi-Wan’s mind counted down the seconds until the
explosion, his keen Jedi time sense telling him exactly how
long they had. With about a minute to spare, Sekina
stopped before a door.

“Here.”

Obi-Wan laid a hand on the door, closed his eyes, and
reached out with all his Force-enhanced senses.

There were indeed a lot of explosives behind the door, a
haphazard pile of a variety of substances, all of which
carried great destructive power. Suddenly everything
seemed very, very real. Focusing all his powers, Obi-Wan
located the triggering device just on the other side of the
door. It was ticking down the seconds until its purpose
was fulfilled. In his mind’s eye, he saw himself reach
insubstantially inside and disconnect the firing mechanism.
The ticking stopped. He opened his eyes.

“We are safe now.”

“Oh, Obi-Wan,” Sekina sighed, nestling her head on his
shoulder from behind. “I knew you would understand, I knew
you would rescue me.”

“You could pack a few things,” Obi-Wan suggested, seemingly
unmoved.

“I want nothing that was Juckolda’s,” Sekina answered with
finality.

And so they made their way to the hangar, hurrying, just in
case there were other traps set in the house, and thus out
the door and across the plain on the skimmer to the oasis.
As they dismounted, Obi-Wan looked north. The dark
presence was there, but muted by unconsciousness.

“My hero,” Sekina started to say, but Obi-Wan cut her off.

“Please, don’t.” She was standing up against him again,
and though he could not see her energy in the glare of real
life, he could feel it just as keenly.

“But I must, it is foreseen.” Her hands began to roam his
body, caressing his chest, his arms, his shoulders. “I
have foreseen all of this, more or less. The sweetest part
we have yet to act out.”

“What do you mean you have foreseen it?” Had she dreamed,
too? She certainly seemed to remember, as he did.

She shrugged. “Often in my life I have seen things that
have later come to pass, though just as often they do not.
So to be completely sure in this most important case, I
Sent my vision to you. And it worked; you came!” She
smiled her gratitude.

“You Sent…what? How?”

“Can we not discuss this later?” she asked sweetly. “My
favorite part of the vision is yet to come…”

Obi-Wan looked down at Sekina, let himself look at her,
feel her welcoming energy surround him. She was so
beautiful, and willing, and it wasn’t as though they hadn’t
done this before. But always before he had told himself
that it was only a dream. He had no such excuse to fall
back on now. And yet… I shouldn’t. Should I? he debated
with himself. One thing is for sure, our clothes aren’t
going to magically disappear this time.

But he was prevented from ever knowing what choice he might
have made as the Vigor suddenly appeared on the horizon.
It swooped in for a landing, pulling to a stop alongside
the parked skimmer.

“Our transport,” Obi-Wan explained, stepping forward,
Sekina behind him. As they approached, the Vigor’s ramp
swung down and Anakin slid down it.

“You tricked me! You used mind control on me! That’s not
nice!” he yelled as he neared his Master, hands on hips.

“It was necessary.”

“But- Oh, hello,” Anakin’s voice changed drastically as he
noticed Sekina for the first time.

“Hello,” she replied with a warm smile, stepping up to him.
“Are you the brave pilot who helped rescue me?”

“Uh, yeah, that’s me.”

Sekina reached out and squeezed his shoulder. “Thank you.”
Anakin just stared at her.

“Anakin Skywalker, meet Sekina. Sekina, this is my
Padawan.” The two exchanged “pleased to meet yous”. “I
think we should get going now,” Obi-Wan continued, and
motioned for Sekina to precede him up the ramp. Anakin
stepped aside for her. As Obi-Wan passed his Padawan, he
ordered “Set course for Coruscant. And don’t forget to
monitor the hyperdrive for the tests. I’ll settle Sekina.”
As they entered the cabin, Obi-Wan guided Sekina by the arm
to the rear sleeping chamber. Anakin, grumbling under his
breath, made his way back to the pilot seat.

“Ooh, this is even better,” Sekina said as they passed
through the door and she spied the bed. Draping herself
across it, she looked up at Obi-Wan expectantly.

“Um, I’m going to go check on our course. You stay here.
I’ll be right back.”

“Don’t go, Obi-Wan, I need you,” Sekina pushed up on her
elbows to call after him, but he was already through the
door.

Outside, Obi-Wan stopped, ran his hands through his hair.
He’d had to get away. She was just too tempting. With a
deep breath, he set about putting up some mental blocks
against the energy that he could feel creeping under the
door behind him, swirling about the cabin, filling the
entire ship like an invisible gas. A few minutes later,
feeling a little protected, he went forward to check on
their course, as he had said.

“Estimated time to Coruscant?” he asked Anakin as he
slipped into the co-pilot’s chair.

“Eight hours,” Anakin replied, obviously still upset.

“Look, I’m sorry I used the Jedi mind trick on you. But as
I said, it was nec-”

“I thought we were a team! I should have been helping you
down there.”

“You did help, Anakin. What did you find on your sweep?
Any other buildings?”

“No, nothing, zilch.” Anakin’s tone left no doubt as to
how he felt about being the one sent on a fruitless search
while Obi-Wan was fighting the bad guy and rescuing the
beautiful slave girl.

“Glad to hear it,” Obi-Wan replied. At least Juckolda had
no nearby reinforcements. “Continue to conduct the tests;
we shall have at least partial data on our return. I will
relieve you in four hours.”

“Where are you going?” Anakin asked as his Master rose and
headed toward the rear again.

“To get some answers,” Obi-Wan called over his shoulder.

“Bet that’s not all you’ll get,” Anakin mumbled as he
turned back to the controls and flipped a switch with more
force than was necessary.

When Obi-Wan entered the sleeping chamber, he found Sekina
fast asleep on the bed. Relieved, and disappointed, he
took out a blanket, covered her, and slipped back out as
quietly as he could. So there would be no interrogation,
for now. Plus she gave off much less energy, so he could
relax. He glanced around the cabin, wondering how he
should pass the time. Back on Coruscant, it would be
getting dark right about now. Though he could go without
sleep if necessary, he really should rest. As the bed was
taken, Obi-Wan sat himself down right in front of the door
– there weren’t many other places, and this way he would
know if Sekina woke up, or if Anakin decided to sneak in on
her – and fell into a deep, restful meditation.
