Chapter 4
Chapter 4/32
In New Mecca
Imam had left Jack at home to meet with his friends for a mission. Jack was chilling on the couch watching t.v. She got bored with what was on and told the voice-activated t.v. to find a movie. It flipped and flipped through channels until it found a movie she wanted to see.
A few seconds later she commanded, "Stop."
The movie displayed on the huge screen was Scary Movie. Ironically, it was on her favorite part. The scene before her was when the killer called Cindy from her house. He was "hiding" behind the couch with his feet sticking out. He told her that he was in the house. She told him she knew and informed him just where he was "hiding." The killer then hung his head in shame and sighed. Jack burst out laughing from the hella funny scene. She got in a really comfortable position and enjoyed the movie. She laughed so hard that tears flowed down her face. This time they were tears of laughter.
Laughter was good for her soul. Every since Riddick left them, she was feeling miserable. So, Imam convinced her to watch some t.v. and relax. Within an hour she fell asleep. Jack slept like a baby until a loud noise abruptly woke her up. She quickly sat up and scanned the small room. She saw nothing. Unexpectedly, she saw a floating glowing ball appear before her eyes. She gasped as her heart began to race and her eyes widened. T he ball gradually opened up into a vortex of some kind. She wanted to scream and run but she was in a state of shock. A few seconds later, three tiny green figures came out of the vortex and landed on the rug on the floor. All she could do was watch the scene unfold before her very eyes. Jack’s mind was spinning, trying to figure out what the hell was going on.
"Ooooh The Chosen One," voices said in unison.
The tiny voices of the figures brought her out of her trance. She looked at the tiny figures. She couldn’t believe what she saw. There were three green pint-sized aliens. They had long antennas protruding from their heads and three huge eyes. She then screamed and jumped behind the couch. The alien dudes screamed too as they ran around the room with their hands up.
"E.T. aint here…he went home over 200 years ago," Jack informed.
"We come in peace. We’re here for the "Chosen One," the voices said.
“The chosen one?" she asked.
"You have been chosen, you must come with us to The Shinning. Master Shine has requested that you come," they said.
Jack stuck her head out from behind the couch just to take a peek. When she did, she suddenly found the urge to laugh. I can’t believe that I’m actually having a conversation with an alien, she thought. One alien approached her cautiously.
"I’m Xan, this is Ret, and the shy one still hiding behind the table is Var," the alien said.
She looked at each alien and the fear slowly went away.
"We’re the Triorbs from the planet Triorbizon, Xan said.
The vortex began to close pulling things close to it inside.
"Ooooh it’s closing, we must go now, Ret said. Jack started backing up even more.
"Oh Hell No, I’m Not Going,” she scoffed.
The gravity from the vortex became stronger and started to pull her towards it. She tried to hold on to the couch but to no avail…… without warning she was floating across the room and into the vortex. She yanked off some beads that Imam gave her and threw them on the couch. Jack never took them off, so Imam would know that something had happened. She was engulfed in the entire vortex and the aliens jumped in after her. Immediately, the vortex closed and the floating glowing ball disappeared.

Riddick grabbed his shiv a little tighter as he approached his uninvited guest. They don’t smell like mercs and certainly don’t look like them either, he thought.
"XXXtremely bad timing, Riddick accused. Didn’t your momma’s ever tell you not to sneak up on an armed man?" he asked.
"Whoa hold up man, we’re the good guys here. Our job is to wack the ‘Big Bads" like that, but you took care of that for us," Gunn informed.
"I’d do it again, they didn’t know who they were messing with," Riddick said.
"So, what are you, a Rogue or something…. never seen you around here before," Gunn said.
Riddick smirked and said, "Hmmm, I guess you could say that."
You gotta name, Rogue?" Gunn asked.
“Cari Jackson. And what are your names? I know you got one?" Riddick asked.
"I’m Gunn and this is Fred, my girl," Gunn replied.
Fred smiled at the comment Gunn made.
"So, Gunn, do you know of a place where a man could lay his head?" Riddick asked.
"No Doubt, it just so happens that we live in a hotel. You’re welcomed to stay there if you like,” Gunn offered.
"Yeah, Mr. Jackson, you smmeell…Oops…I mean you look like you could use a long hott bath and some sleep,” Fred said, finally making use of her tongue.
She stepped behind Gunn again feeling embarrassed. Gunn and Riddick both laughed at her comment.
"So, how about it…Cari?" Gunn asked.
Riddick accepted their invitation and trailed them to the hotel.
It took them 15 minutes to arrive at Casa De Angel. Riddick began to second-guess his decision but got out of the car anyway. Gunn and Fred waited for Riddick to catch up to them before entering the hotel. Once inside, Riddick was greeted with eyes again…but this time it was different. These eyes looked familiar as if he was looking at his own eyes through a mirror. These eyes had a look of understanding and acceptance.
Hmmmm, maybe I made the right decision after all, Riddick thought.
