Jack sat on the stairs of the wheel deck sulking as he drank from his bottle of rum. Just as he and Elizabeth were about to enjoy some much needed alone time their son Jacob had decided to interrupt by screaming at the top of his lungs. It had completely ruined the romantic moment the second his shrill cry echoed through the cabin. Jack had pouted as Elizabeth rushed over to the cradle to pick up their crying son immediately forgetting about the fact that he was standing there nearly naked and painfully erect. She had given him a small smile and a quick apology as she tended to their son’s hunger. And now he sat perched on the steps of the wheel deck scowling out across the horizon as he took the occasional swig from his ever present bottle of rum. “I thought I might find you here sulking.”

“You’re sulking Jack.”

He frowned up at her as she moved to sit next to him on the stairs. He scooted over to make room for her. Elizabeth took the bottle of rum from his hand making his mouth open quickly to protest. But he closed it when she leaned in to place a soft kiss on his weathered lips. Jack leaned in closer to deepen the kiss burying his rough hands in her silken tresses pulling her close to him. They broke apart their foreheads still touching lightly as they stared at each other. Jack’s voice was a low whisper when he spoke.

“Is it safe t’ come back in the cabin?”

“Jacob is fast asleep…with a full belly so he shouldn’t be anymore trouble.”

“So then we can…..pick up where we left off then?”

“We can….if you’re up to it.”

He gave her a devilish grin before capturing her mouth in another kiss.

Elizabeth felt her cheeks burn from the blush that swept across her face. Jack took her hands in his and pulled her gently to her feet. They hurried back into their cabin latching the door shut behind them. Jack began quickly peeling off his clothes feeling his cock becoming more rigid with every second that passed. She reached up and brushed one of his dreadlocks off his cheek the pads of her fingers lightly ghosting across his skin. His coffee colored eyes slipped closed a moment before they opened again to look at her. She could see the passion that smoldered for her in his onyx depths. Yes this was exactly where she belonged. Jack pulled her closer and she snuggled into his broad chest inhaling his scent deeply. The scent of rum and the sea and exotic spices mingled with his sweat. It was the scent of home and familiarity. Jack and the Pearl were home to her now and they had been for quite some time. They had been home to her even before she was willing to admit it. Her mouth found Jack’s once again and their passion seemed to reignite instantly. She felt him harden against her belly again as their kiss heated up. The words echoed in his head. ‘ Not all treasure is silver an’ gold mate.’ If only he had known at the time how right he truly had been. Not all treasure was silver and gold and he was just fine with that. Because his love for Elizabeth was worth far more than any trinket could ever mean to him.
