As Usual
Jesse is the closest to the office so he picks up the phone.
"Yo Dom get the phone, it's Eva" he places the phone on Dom's desk and goes back to work.
"What's up baby?" he answers.
"Hi baby, you busy?" Eva sounds relieved to hear his voice.
"I'm never busy for you, where are you?" he takes a load off and sits down in his chair.
"I'm home already"
Home. The sound of that still gives her Goosebumps. To wake up everyday next to Dom is all she can ask for; it's all she wants.
"How'd it go today?" Dom asks
Mini pops into her head. "˜I'm pregnant' she keeps hearing those words in her head. "˜It might not be Vince's baby' oh God that's the one she's dreading. Eva wishes she can talk to Dom about it, but it's up to Mini to bring it up and discuss it with Vince first.
"Fine. Everything's fine. We're cooking stuffed sh for for tonight so bring your sweet ass straight home," she says teasingly.
"Sounds good. Hey what are you wearing right now?" he asks with a sly voice. Eva can't help but grin. "Well I'm wearing one of your big sleep shirts..." she pauses.
"What else?" he continues "That's all I'm wearing big boy" Now Dom is grinning as well.
"I'm closing shop early" they both giggle and hang up the phone.
Not everyone attends dinner at the Toretto's later on that night but it's something they were all getting accustomed to. The girls do their best to act as if everything is copasetic. They all gather at the table say their prayers and begin eating.
"Tomorrow the tailor need all the guys to get re-fitted" Mia explains, all the guys retort to her comment except Vince. "Vince did you hear me?" Mia says catching his attention.
"Uh yeah, I got you Mia" he goes back to fiddling with this food. Mini as usual is absent from the dinner and Vince's thought are obviously far away from here. Mia gives Eva a worried look and goes back to eating. After dinner they all sit in the yard listening to music, talking and drinking. Coco comes from the inside of the house and stops at the screen door.
"Vince, you have a phone call" Coco stomps down the stairs to join the others.
Everyone stares at Vince walk inside the house and ask Coco who it is, she simply gives them a knowing look and everyone nods. Not a minute after Vince walks back out, grabs his keys and heads out the door.
"You out bro?" Leon asks, with a frown.
"Going to Mini's house, see ya later" he responds without turning around. The girls give each other looks of concern and Dom notices, he squeezes Eva's thigh and she shrugs knowing he wants to know what she knows.
