Chance meeting
The pirate offered her something to drink and then left. She began to think on what she could do to escape. She sighed. Nothing was coming to mind. She was on a ship, in the middle of the ocean. She was kept in the room, restless as the days passed. Soon it had been a week. There was a raid on another settlement. She was caught trying to escape, and punished by one of them. He hit her hard across the face, and knocked her into a half conscious state. No one was allowed in now but one young man. From what she learned from him, he had been taken in a raid as a slave for them. He helped her think of something. He was also important because the moment he touched her face, she saw flashes of Will. She found it odd that it was not from the perspective of the young man, but from another’s. The young man was cleaning tables. She could sense worry, which was the strongest of the feelings. There were such strong emotions that she grabbed his arm without thinking. He thought she was having some sort of fit, so sat next to her, making sure she was okay. Calypso saw none of this, only the visions.
“They took her! It was Barbosa!” Will said.
“Damn him to the depths of hell. Why has he taken her?” That voice, it was familiar.
“Probably for the same reason he has returned from the grave to haunt us. He has it in his head to harm her I think. He knew where she was. He had been watching the house.” Will said. Something hit the table violently.
“If it takes me to the ends of the earth, and to the deepest pits of Hell, I will get her from him. I will not let this happen again.” It was her other rescuer!
That was when Barbosa charged in, shooting and causing general mayhem and complete chaos. The young man scurried away, but was caught by another pirate. He was about to be killed when Will and the other jumped in and began to fight off the pirates.
“You can’t beat me Jack. I’m back to bein’ cursed. Let the boy live. He may be of some use to us.” Barbosa said. He had a sword at the young man's throat.
He smiled, then in a flash he spun, with his sword. It barely missed killing Jack. He was angry. It had cut his neck. Something fell to the ground, and that’s when it got fuzzy. It was the object that was helping her see. It was picked up, and she felt blazing hatred and anger.
“We got somethin’ I think you’ll be wantin Jack. She be aboard my ship. And we have plans for the maiden. Plans that would make the cruelest man alive cringe in fear." He said aloud, then he whispered to Jack's face, "Be warned. This is not only between you and I. She be a feisty young thing too. I may let my men play with her a bit.” Barbosa said. She saw for the first time, a handsome dark face, eyes lined in kohl.
“Damn you Barbosa. I will hunt you down, and will continue to hunt your rotten carcass till the end of your days. Which will be soon I might add. Do not harm her, or I will skin you alive!” Jack shouted. He was being held back.
“To the ship!” Barbosa shouted, laughing. They began to leave. She didn’t know why Jack or Will didn’t follow. “Give the trinket to the boy.”
She saw that Jack and Will were both being held at gun point by other pirates that she recognized from the ship. Barbosa gave them the order to leave as well, and they both struck Will and Jack with the butt of their pistols. The last she saw of the two was Will being held up by Jack, who looked very much like he wanted to chase down the pirates and gut them, and there was also this hint in his eyes of fear and worry.
“What is it that you have? You have a trinket from him, don’t you?” Calypso asked, when she stopped shaking from the visions.
“It is some sort of necklace. From the way you reacted to me touching you, it’s not a wise idea to hand it over just yet. Besides, he asked me not to.” He said.
Calypso looked at him, she could see into his eyes, a dark deep brown. She nodded. She really didn’t understand, but she would go with it. Sighing she stood. The pirates had all warned her that should she try to escape, they wouldn’t hold themselves back. She was determined to defend herself, and her new companion. He reminded her of the one called Jack. He had dark hair that was collarbone length and straight. He had a goatee and mustache as well, but that was where the similarities ended. He had not told his name to her yet, as she had not told him hers.
“I am Calypso Marie, what is your name?” She asked him
“I don’t have a name. At least no one told me what my mum called me when she was alive. The one who took me in gave me the name Dorian.” He said.
“Nice to meet you Dorian. Now, let us think of some way to get out of here.” Calypso said.
*not it is not Dorian Grey, nor is he to be similar to the man. He's my look a like added to the story! ^_^ I know I’m horrible, tell me so... REVIEW! and tell me if I should change Barbosa's ship. -_-" I had a helluva time naming the durned thing.
