A/N: I’m sorry I haven’t updated in a while. I’m also sorry that I can’t thank my reviewers by name at the moment, but that would delay in getting this chapter up. I don’t think ya’ll would appreciate that.

Chapter Four

Jack gently untangled himself from Will, trying desperately not to wake his lover up. He eased out of bed and began getting dressed as quietly as possible. He was about to make for the door when his lover’s beautiful voice called to him.

“Jack, I had a dream.”

The pirate captain immediately turned around made his way back to the bed. Whenever Will said that he had a dream, he usually meant a clairvoyant dream. Dreams of this nature seemed to come naturally to Will, and although they were useful at times, Jack hated what they did to his lover.

“What was it about?” Jack asked, taking Will into his arms.

“Goza attacking Port Royal.”

Jack closed his eyes. He knew that Will would be devastated if Goza had harmed his children, not to mention Elizabeth and Norrington. He swore to himself that he would make the heartless pirate pay for all the pain he had caused his Will.

“Don’t worry, luv. I’m sure your family is fine,” he assured. “Now, come on, we’ve just reached Tortuga. If anything’s happened to Port Royal, it will certainly be circulating in all the gossip.”

“You go on, Jack,” Will said. “I’m not feeling up to the claustrophobia of Tortuga.”

“Want me to stay with you?”

“No, I want you to go and have as much fun as you like, as long as you stay away from all of those whores that are sure to be throwing themselves at you when they see I’m not with you.”

“Why would I even glance at them when I have you here waiting for me?”

“Finally! Tortuga!” Drake shouted excitedly. However, no matter how excited he was, Lena was more so. She was bouncing up and down, pointing to a ship in the harbor.

“Look! It’s the Black Pearl! Oh, do you think they’re taking on any more crew!”

“They’re really here,” Will whispered. He looked at Jackie. “Our father is really here.”

“Dream on, Lena,” Drake was saying, “Why would Captain Sparrow take on kids like us?”

“He’s right,” Jackie whispered to her brother. “What if Captain Sparrow doesn’t want us on board?”

“But our father—
”

“May be forced to choice between us and his lover. Who do you think he’ll choose?” she hissed.

“We can’t think like that. Mother told us they were good men. We have to remember that,” Will stated firmly.

“What are you two whispering about?” Lena asked.

“Nothing,” Jackie said. “What were you saying?”

“We were saying that it wouldn’t hurt to approach the captain of the Pearl,” Drake replied. “Even if we’re laughed at, at least we can try.”

Jack was disturbed. All around him people were talking about the Diamond’s attack on Port Royal. Very few were said to have survived. Among the most notable dead were Governor Swan, Commodore Norrington, and Elizabeth Norrington. Nothing, however, was said about William and Jacquelyn Norrington. Jack hoped beyond hope that no news was good news.

“Excuse me, Captain Sparrow, sir,” a voice interrupted his thoughts. He looked at the person who had addressed him and was amused to see that it was one of four teenagers.

‘Probably looking to turn pirate,’ he thought. He did have a few open bunks aboard, but he didn’t usually take on any inexperienced whelps, excluding Will of course. However, his eyes were drawn from the blonde boy who had addressed him to the boy and girl behind him. They looked so much like—
but that wasn’t possible, was it?

“We were wondering, sir, if you were taking on any more crew,” the blonde boy said.

The black girl beside him spoke up, “We’ll work hard, sir.”

“What’re your names?” Jack asked.

The boy who looked so much like his Will answered. “I’m Will, sir, and this is my twin sister Jackie. That’s Lena and Drake,” he said, pointing to each of his companions in turn.

“Will and Jackie, is it? That would be short for William and Jacquelyn, right?” They nodded. “You’re last name wouldn’t happen to be Norrington, would it?”

“Yes,” Jackie breathed, praying that he wouldn’t turn them away.

“You know, I do believe I could take you four on,” Jack said, smiling. ‘Will would probably murder me if I didn’t.’
