A Lover's Wish

I have to announce that my computer has quit on me. I believe I caught a virus through an instant message. So, until my computer expert gets back into town to help me asses the damage, I will be using my mother's computer which is often in use when she and I are in the house at the same time. This will not stop me from updating.

Disclaimer is the same.

I would also like to apologize for the chapter being short.

Chapter IV : A Lover's Wish

THE PLANET OF NABOO

The Queen of Naboo, Apailana, was the first to greet Anakin as he got off the silver Nubian ship with his Jedi protection flanking him. "Senator Skywalker, thank goodness you're safe," she said.

"Your Majesty," Anakin said bowing, "Are they here?" he asked. The queen nodded, and Anakin looked behind her seeing Deacon's parents and little sister. He stepped forward towards them. They wore the traditional mourning robes of Naboo, and somber looks. Deacon's mother, Miliana, stepped forward giving her son's former charge and lover a bone crushing hug.

"I want you to know that I don't blame you for my son's death, Senator," she said, "He died doing what he loved doing the best; protecting the only man he ever loved." She pulled back, giving Anakin a kiss on the cheek before allowing her husband to greet the senator. Deacon, Sr. bowed slightly to Anakin, paying respect to the senator before Anakin crouched down on his knees to be eye level with Deacon's little sister, Amaya.

"Your brother was brave, little one," he said, "You should be proud of him."

"I am," the five year old said before giving a hug to Anakin. She pulled away giving him a kiss on the cheek like her mother did, and joined her parents. Deacon's coffin floated out of the ship, being flanked by guards. It passed the group of mourners before it was followed by the family, the queen and Anakin, and the rest of the crowd. Obi-Wan and Zett stayed at the end of the group.

"Shouldn't we be by Anakin's side?" Zett asked.

"It's a funeral, young Padawan," Obi-Wan said, "It would be disrespectful if we were right there." The funeral was well over an hour as the mourning party walked to the funeral pyre at a slow pace. Zett was starting to get restless at the length of the funeral, but kept it to himself not wanting to disrespect Deacon's memory. When the funeral was over, the queen knew Anakin had to be tired, and offered quarters in the palace. He graciously accepted, but only for the night. He was going to visit his mother and father before heading off to his lake home where he'd be safe.

THE QUEEN'S PALACE- ANAKIN'S ROOM

Laying wide awake in his bed, Anakin couldn't get the kissing and groping he did with Obi-Wan on the star ship. He tried to sleep, but couldn't. He rolled in his sleep for hours trying to get his feelings for Obi-Wan straightened out. His love for Deacon was still strong. Whenever they made love he felt safe. However, during recent trips to Corusant, Deacon had to be more of a bodyguard than lover. He was on constant guard. He even took to sitting in a chair in Anakin's bedroom watching him sleep. He remembered that whenever he woke up from a nightmare, Deacon was there to comfort him. He remembered the last time Deacon comforted him not two days ago before they came to Naboo.

~~~~~~~~~~
Deacon was sitting in his normal spot at the head of Anakin's bed watching out for any danger. Not there was any whenever he was on Naboo. The attempts on his life were always on Corusant, where there was chaos. Anakin moaned in his sleep, moving around, causing Deacon to look to the bed. 'He's having another nightmare,' he thought. Suddenly Anakin shot up with a shout, and Deacon was at his side. "It's all right, Ani, I'm here."
"Oh, Deac, you're here," Anakin said.
"Of course I'm here," Deacon said, "Where else would I be?" He put his arms around Anakin, and pulled the senator close to him. "You want to talk about it?" he asked.
"It was just a nightmare, Deacon," Anakin said, "Nothing to worry about." Deacon pulled his charge out to look him in the eye.
"I've known you since your first night as king, Anakin," he said, "What is troubling you?" he asked.
"I saw you die." Deacon scoffed. "Don't scoff, Deacon. You know most of my dreams come true. I don't want to lose you."
"You won't lose me." Deacon cupped Anakin's face, and gently kissed him on the lips.
"Love me, Deacon," Anakin said, "Please? I need to feel you inside me." Those words alone made Deacon grow hard, and he claimed Anakin with a passionate kiss. He and Anakin became one when they made love. Anakin always felt safe in Deacon's arms. It was the last time they ever made love.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Anakin remembered like it was yesterday. He fell asleep in Deacon's arms that night feeling protected and safe. Anakin felt the tears coming again, and he sat up in bed. The kissing and groping that he did with Obi-Wan was soon forgotten as he cried tears for Deacon. "Let me go, Ani," Deacon's voice said, "My only wish is for you to be happy. Stop crying and go to Obi-Wan."
"I can't, Deacon," Anakin sobbed, "I still love you."

"But you love Obi-Wan, too."

"He's a Jedi. He can't get attached."

"Give him a few days," Deacon's voice said, "He'll come around." Anakin's head shot up hearing Deacon's husky chuckle disappear into the wind.
