Drawings and Surprises

AN - Ok, now that things have calmed down a little, I think things will be rolling pretty fast... maybe. LOL. Never trust an author’s words... ok maybe not never, but you know what I mean

Chapter 5

“How could she not think I was generous?”

Jareth paced back and forth in front of his throne. Hoggle sat across from him. He looked bemused, something was troubling him.

“How has you been generous?”

Jareth looked at Hoggle with a warning in his glare.

“I have been extremely generous to her.”

Hoggle shook his head and smiled a little bit.

“But, yous forget m’lord, she is not from around here. Sure by the Underground standards, you have been generous. All besides the raping issue.”

“And that is a dead issue. It had to be done.”

Hoggle nodded in agreement.

“But, Aboveground, rape is bad. Even here it is looked down upon. She is stills only a child, m’lord. You took her very innocense away. She held ontos that for a reason.”

“She wanted me to have it!” Jareth roared at the little man.

Hoggle shook his head sighed. He was a very intelligent man, but sometimes he just did not think the way he needed to.

“Jareth, I do not doubt that she wanted you to have it. Buts, she was just a child. She had fantasies, she had wishes, dreams, and,”

“And I offered them to her, and she tried to turn me down!”

Jareth huffed and plopped down into his thrown. He rubbed his temples. This was not going as he had planned. Sure, he was looking for a little struggle in her. But, she was holding up better than he though she would have. While, she still refused to eat much of anything, she was making her life as easy as possible. Unknown to Jareth, she was a wonderful seamstress. Not only using the cloth that he had given her in the basket, but she pulled down the drapes from the window, pulled the banners off the walls, and used them all to her advantage.

“She is being stubborn.”

Hoggle smiled.

“And likes your not?”

Jareth stood again and started pacing.

“She needs to understand that I am the boss. She needs to let me rule her, and only then will she understand how much I love her.”

Hoggle stared at Jareth as the words fell from his lips. Jareth, not even paying attention, didn’t even pause when he said it. He looked up and saw Hoggle staring.

“What is it?”

“Have you even bothered to tell her?”

“Tell her what?”

Hoggle stood and shook his head.

“Jareth. Looks. She is a scared young woman. She has an original fears of yous because of how things went the last time. You are scaring hers away from you. Maybe you should tell her you love her, that you want her to be your queen.”

“That’s absurd.”

“It’s logical.”

Jareth stood still for a moment. He could never show weakness, and that is what love is. It is a way for his heart to get shattered. He was a king, he was a high and mighty person. He was a fae prince and the ruler of his land. He could not break down and show emotion to a mere mortal. Could he?

“I...you just don’t understand.”

Hoggle started walking to the doors. The little man turned around, a look os seriousness on his face.

“Jareth, until you let hers know what is really going on, shes will never trust you. Your driving hers away, and soon, it is going to bes to late to get hers back.”

Jareth watched the little man walk out the doors and out into the Goblin City. His eyes fell to the statue in the fountain, and he smiled a little. Another girl was making the mistake of wishing her brother away. The smile faltered as the goblins began to climb into the throne room again, resuming their usual messing about when another child was wished away. He felt her calling him, but the pulling in his chest that usually happened was not responding. He didn’t even want to go get the child.

He walked through the mess and started kicking his away to the steps leading to the bed chambers.

“I fucked her, and now she has ruined me.”
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Sarah had no idea how long she was in the bedroom and she had no idea how long the asshole who put her here would keep her confined. She was not stupid. She knew he was afraid and that’s why he locked her away. She looked at herself in the mirror as she tried on her newest outfit.

“Screw the dresses. Mini skirts are so much better!”

Sarah admired herself in the little mirror she had. She had taken the cerulean blue tapestry and made it into a mini shirt and shirt. The mini skirt, obviously short, cut down to about 3/4 the way up her thighs. So when she bent over, she might just show a little much. Her top, was short as well. The collar was cut wide and it only was only long enough to barely cover her belly button.

“Damn, I look good!”

She smiled and looked over at the other sets she had made. Red, yellow and green. 2 were pants and t-shirts, the yellow and green. The red one was a dress. As much as she did not like the idea of wearing one, she made one she would not mind wearing. It was long and flowing. Her cleavage peaked out of a small little opening that was created by latching the two shoulders together and she made a long red cape to flow behind it.

“I am so glad that I took those sewing classes.”

A small knock came from the door and Sarah jumped by the sudden intrusion. She turned and looked at the door, waiting for a goblin to enter. Soon enough, a little one scuttled in and sat her food tray on the floor. It bowed down to her and scuttled back out. Sarah walked to the platter and saw that there was a note sitting outside of the plate, which was filled with roast beef and mashed potatoes. And, thankfully, a little bowl of ketchup.

Sarah unfolded the letter and smiled as she read it. It was from Jareth, that cocky little bastard. She knew if she kept quiet long enough, his barriers with her would start to break down.

Sarah -

I regret to inform you that tonight you will be having dinner with me. Hence the small lunch. Please, dress appropriately, for we will be having guests. They are of great importance, and I need you there for conversational interest only. I will be at your chambers a dusk.

Jareth

Sarah snorted in laughter. She giggled a little more and then stared laughing harder.

“Conversational huh?”

Sarah smiled as she eyed what she was wearing. She would love to show up in this, but she knew Jareth would either die when he saw her, or be cruel and make her change. She looked at the red dress and eyed her figure.

“I guess it will have to do.”

Sarah stared at herself in the mirror as she finished the last of her lunch. It was already growing darker, the sun setting just beyond the gardens.

“I would love to see them.”

She sighed and rose to get a bath. The water, though not freezing cold, was not nearly as warm as she would like it. She ducked down into it and washed her body. Her hair, after is was shampooed and conditioned, was wrapped into a towel and she set about getting ready.

She put on the make shift bra she had made. She would need to talk to Jareth about getting ones that actually lifted. She shook her head as she imagined Jareth contemplating what a bra was. *He’s not stupid, I am sure the fae women wear them.* Sarah nodded in agreement with herself. She could not stand not wearing something to help them. She slipped into th dress she had hand made, making sure that the gap for her breasts to shine through was right where it needed to be.

She walked to the mirror and pulled her hair back. Using two sticks she had sculpted into hair pieces, she wrapped her hair into a messy, but attractive bun. She rubbed a little of the crushed rose petals over her eyes, making them tint a little red. She was thankful for the vines out side her window. Not only did they smell wonderful in the breeze, but they serves as good dyes and the make up.

She looked herself over one more time before exhaling in relief. Jareth would be here soon and she was not in the mood to be manipulated. She could not help but feel anxious. It would be the first time she saw him in a while. And while she may lie through her teeth and try to make herself believe she hated him, she always knew she would somehow be attracted to him. She could not help it. Her dreams even betrayed her as she slept at night. She dreamt of nothing but him and the night he took her. That sweet, but also shattering night played fresh in her mind, her senses never letting it go.

Sarah took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down. That’s all she needed was Jareth to find her all worked up. She walked out onto the balcony, where she spent a lot of her time and reached over the edge. In a small nook, she had hidden some paper she had found. She took the papers out and looked over her drawings. She had to admit, she had never really thought herself to be a true artist, but when she was drawing things of the Underground, she just kind of got it natural.

She trailed her fingers over Hoggle and Ludo. Sir Didymus with Ambrocious. She laughed a little as she looked over her sketch of the Fireys. The next one was of the Labyrinth itself, with the Goblin City in the center, by the horizon. And the last one was the one she was currently working on. Jareth, the bastard she truly loved, in all his glory. Naked and laying in a bed, he was smiling at a girl laying in his arms. She smiled a little as she took the piece of granite out of the nook and began the details of the girl.

She sketched their hands intertwined, the smile playing on Jareth’s face not a coy or evil one. But on of pure contentment. And on the girl’s face, one as equally content. Sarah smiled that smile and continued to sketch the eyes and lips of the girl. Barely parted, her lips were full and luscious. He long hair was fanned out behind the king and she made her out to be his queen.

Sarah, so focused on the drawing and getting her dreams on paper, did not even hear the fae walking to the room. Jareth looked around the room for her, wondering where she could be. He was about to call her face, when he heard her giggle. He walked to the balcony, and saw the beautiful red dress draped around her body.

“My gods.”

Sarah squealed and jumped, hiding the papers behind her back. Her face flushed to match the red in her dress.

“Jareth, I... I didn’t even hear you come in.”

Jareth took in her beauty and felt all the blood rushing somewhere it was not supposed to be. He felt her tension and it snapped him out of his state, as wonder began to fill his head.

“You look lovely.” Jareth nodded at her. “But, what are you hiding?”

Sarah shifted uncomfortably. She could not let him see the drawing of him and her. *Wait, when did that girl become me?* She sighed at herself as she backed away from the now stalking to her king.

“Nothing. And thank you. You look nice also.”

Jareth nodded his thanks, but did not retreat in his mission. She was hiding something, and it must be good, because she kept getting redder with ever step.

“Let me see, Sarah.”

Sarah shook her head. “They are nothing. Just some sketches. Nothing big.”

Jareth cocked an eyebrow.

“Sketches? Are you any good?”

Jareth dove into her and hit her back against the balcony wall. Sarah moaned at the sudden contact, a fire releasing in her body. She forgot all about the pictures she was hanging onto and relaxed. The papers fell to the balcony floor and Jareth scooped them up.

His eyes fell on the sketches of her friends.

“Sarah, these are wonderful.”

He panned over the Labyrinth sketch and chuckled.

“I don’t think anyone has captured it’s beauty like this before. Where did you learn to draw?”

Sarah was focusing on the next picture. She was so red that she could only shrug. She watched as he moved the maze sketch and as his eyes fell on the last sketch, his breath hitched in his throat. Pink flushed into his cheeks and he just stood in silence for a moment.

Jareth couldn’t believe what he was looking at. Himself, naked, laying with her. She drew this? Such beauty, he sketching was the best he had ever seen. The precision in the lines and they way she out so much emotion into it. He looked up at her, she was as red as her dress. He smiled and turned the picture around.

“A wish?”

Sarah could only nod.

Jareth almost laughed as she openly told the truth.

“I see. It is a wonderful drawing.” Jareth moved closer to her and bent in to whisper in her ear. “And a an wonderfully erotic wish.”

Sarah gasped as his breath fell on her ear.

“Right, well, how about that dinner?” She said, closing her eyes and trying to not sound so horny.

Jareth chuckled on the inside. She was so turned on by him, but the same went for him. He couldn’t stand being next to her. She was like the flu or something. He caught it every time. He watched her walk past him and her hips swayed with each step. She turned in the door way and looked at him.

“Something wrong?”

Jareth felt it in his chest. He needed to tell her.

“Sarah,”

“Yes Jareth?”

Jareth felt his heart pounding and he was sure she could hear it too.

“I... I just wanted you to know that, well ,I wanted you to know that I,”

“Jareth, your talking in circles.”

Jareth but his tongue as she bit at him. He sighed and rolled his eyes.

“I wanted to tell you that tonight you will do nothing but be by me and you will only talk when you are spoken to.”

Sarah’s heart sank as the words fell from his lips.

“Alright.”

Jareth walked in front of her and held the door open for her. He just could not do it. Damn him and all creation, it was so much harder than it sounded. He just could not tell her. Even though he knew she knew and he wanted her to know, it was nearly impossible.

Sarah frowned a little as she walked through the door. He was going to say something different that what he did. Could he have actually been telling her he loved her? She shook her head and sighed. He didn’t love her. She shouldn’t even get her hopes up. She jumped a little as his arm snaked in hers.

“Relax. Sarah. And, have a good time.” Jareth smiled as he lead her to a set doors. He stopped and straightened his clothed. “How do I look?”

Sarah wanted to bite into him. She wanted him to feel how bad it hurt to not know what he thought.

“You look wonderful.”

Jareth smiled and kissed Sarah’s cheek.

“So do you.”

Sarah reached up and touched the spot that burned with desire on her cheek. She turned to him to ask him what the hell that was when the doors open. She turned and looked into the room and about dropped dead.

“I thought you said we were attending dinner?” She asked under her breath.

“Shh, just smile.”

Jareth walked out onto the landing and straightened his back. He shot Sarah one of his coy smiled and began to lead her down the steps.

“May present King Jareth, and his lady Sarah.”

Sarah almost drowned in the attention. All of the guests, which there had to be about 500 of them, turned and their eyes locked in on her. She held her head high and let Jareth lead her down the steps. She flashed a smile at one of the men and he returned it with a hungry one of his own.

She smiled inward at herself. *A conversational piece eh? This may be a very long night. For both of us*
