The Finale

Chapter 5

It had been many years ever since the clone wars. Phen has gotten older, but her body has stayed that of an 18 year old. She may not be an apprentice anymore, but General Grievous is still her master. Ever since that battle that Phen kissed him, he’s never forgotten about it and has his own feelings for her now, yet doesn’t show it. For a few months now, Phen has been having dreams with Obi Wan telling her to help a man from Tatooine learn the Jedi arts. She needed to take him to master Yoda on a desolate planet and she was to tell no one of this. She ignored the dream until it began to annoy her. The only reason she truly was going to help him was to help Grievous. She feared that one day the empire would be in complete control of all the galaxies, and when that happened they wouldn’t need her anymore and that included Grievous not needing her. Grievous sent her to go and find the main rebel base and she believed that it was her only chance to find the man. She got on her ship “Glacier” and had it wait near the planet Tatooine and went to the planet on a star cruiser in search of him. When she found them, she was finally able to convince the parents to allow him to go. Then she took him to the planet where Yoda was said to be.

“Here we are Luke.” she said. “I’ll give you a star cruiser because I have to leave.”

“Thank you. Where are you going?” he asked.

“To my master.” she said then closed the exit having a star cruiser left behind.

She felt lucky that she wasn’t a very popular or feared person, for she wouldn’t have been able to get Luke to go with her. She went back to the base and went to Grievous.

“Well?” he said.

“Well what?” she answered.

“Did you find the base? I suppose that’s the only reason you came back.” he said

She had completely forgotten about the mission. She thought she might tell him about Yoda still being alive, but she remembered that she couldn’t if she wanted Grievous.
She then remembered a base she had found a couple of years ago, but forgot to tell him about.

“I believe it’s on a planet near Vader.” she said.

“Vader.” he said in disgust.

“Maybe we should tell him so we don’t have to waist our time and just have him do it.” she said.

“How close is it to him?” he asked.

She thought for a moment.

“Well, I saw the Death Star, so it must be in his sight. He’d be able to blast it from the range he’s at, well, once it’s complete.” she answered, hoping he’d buy it.

“Why did you not tell him yourself?” he said accusingly.

“You are my master Grievous. You make all the commands.” she answered.

“All right. You did well.” he said.

He left and Phen felt relief consume her. If everything went good, she would be able to stay with Grievous forever. For a while, Phen saw no sign of Luke. She heard Luke had gone after Vader, but that was it. Phen and Grievous had to go meet Darth Vader and Sidious about the Death Star. Sidious was getting impatient at the progress of it. Grievous, Sidious, and Vader talked while Phen went off on her own business. There was an explosion. They were being attacked by rebels. She ran straight to the room where they were talking. When she got there, she found Luke and Grievous fighting. Using her powers, she got them away from each other.

“Phen?” Luke said, surprised to see her. “You’re with them?”

“Yes,-“ she was about to say more until Grievous interrupted.

“Do you know him?” he asked angrily.

“Yes.” she said while going up to Grievous. “I do know him and I helped him with learning how to be a Jedi.” she said.

“Kill her Grievous.” said Sidious. “She is nothing but a traitor.”

Grievous knew she couldn’t be hurt by a lightsaber, but did know she could be strangled. So, he got her by the throat and lifted her.

“NO!” yelled Luke, running to save her.

But Vader got in front of him and blocked his attack.

“This fight will be between you and me now.” he said.

Luke had no choice but to fight him. While they began their fight, Grievous and Phen were having their own.

“Why did you do it?” he said to her face, menacingly.

He wasn’t strangling her and she noticed his hesitation.

“I did it for you.” she answered.

“For me?” he said. “Why me? I’m of no significance.”

“Because I love you.” she said, staring straight into his eyes.

Just then, his feelings for her came. He then knew that he truly loved her too. They were silent and all you could hear were lightsabers striking each other. They were only paying attention to each other until they heard Luke screaming, pleading his father to help him while Sidious zapped him. Then Vader picked Sidious up and threw him over the ledge. Grievous put Phen down and she went to go and help Luke.

“Get away!” Luke yelled at her.

She was about to speak until the place began to shake.

“We gotta get out of here!” she yelled. “This place is about to blow!!!”

“Not without my father!” he said.

“Then I’ll help you get him out of here.” she said.

“Why should I trust you?!” he said untrustingly.

“Because if it wasn’t for me betraying the empire, you wouldn’t be the one who helped kill Sidious, and this war would be going on for a much longer time!” she answered him.

He stared at her for a moment, then allowed her and Grievous to help him. They got near the escape pods when Vader told them to stop and leave him there. Luke tried to convince him, but Vader wouldn’t go. So Grievous and Phen went into the ship and Luke followed after seeing his fathers face. With the empire taken down, Grievous and Phen joined Luke to help if any other evil came. They both knew they loved each other and they were together forever. Its just the way Phen wanted it. Eternal love.
