chapter 5
a/n- I am so sorry that this took so long to write. My muse decided to abandon me in the worst moment leaving me with half a chapter but he finally decided to show his butt back up and thus we have the completed chapter. Hope ya’ll enjoy it.
The lights were hurting her eyes as she stepped from the car that she had stolen onto the boardwalk.
“What’s a pretty little thing like you doing in a place like this?” December smiled glancing down at her feet instead of up at the greasy old man who reeked of booze that was looking over her with lust written in his eyes. “We should get you away from here pet; there are a lot of weird-o hanging around here.” December bit her bottom lip looking more like her sixteen year old body portrayed then she usually did as she nodded slowly at the man, her teeth sinking into the skin of her lip.
“you’ll protect me right?” she questioned looking down at her feet as she twirled one of her blond locks around a finger. He nodded before he started towards the beach reaching back to take her hand as she walked, moving further and further away from the more populated areas.
‘Not exactly what I am used too but hell he’ll work.’ She mused lifting her eyes to look at his back as the moved further away until only sand and moonlight surrounded them. He glanced over his shoulder at her, a feral grin crossing his lips as he pondered the things that he could do with a ripe young body like hers, when she pounced, teeth sinking into his neck, her hands gripping his neck in a hard grip. Her eyes fluttered beneath her lids as she swallowed her first mouthful of the red elixir, image by image flying past her vision. A pitiful existence full of drinks and one whore after another. She swallowed quickly passing the images by faster and faster with each gulp until she finally settled on one that she had been looking for. Natalya standing before a group of teenage boys, their pale skin and inhuman like grace a mirror of her own.
“shit.” She growled dropping the body to the floor of the beach with a dull thump in the sand. “We have a serious problem now.”

“I don’t understand you David.” David growled in annoyance as he took in his pack brother, his ice blue eyes bored.
“I’ve never explained myself to you, what the hell makes you think I’m gonna do it now?” he drawled resting back in the tattered old arm chair, his thumb stroking lazily over his bottom lip. Dwayne snarled fixing his brother with a glare that could have killed. His was annoyed, wanted to kill his sister for the hell of doing it but knew that he couldn’t. shifting his fingers back through his hair he smirked as he looked over Dwayne once more, slouching back even more in his chair as his thoughts raced on and on about the one person that he just couldn’t seem to escape from.
“She’s just some stupid little bitch just like the rest, why not kill her too. She’s human, it’s simple enough. I mean fuck if you don’t want to drain her then just do something else! She’s fragile she’ll break easily.” He was pacing as Paul and Marko stared at him, his hand moving to run back through his dark hair in frustration.
“Once again, why the hell would I explain myself to you?” David asked, cocking one of his blond eyebrows as he looked him over. Dwayne sighed before dropping to his knees before David a quick glare over his shoulder sending the other boys to find something else to do before he turned to face his master once more, his fingers sliding forward to rest on David’s knees, his eyes pleading as he starred up at him.
“You killed the rest of them David, why not her too. Put the ghosts to rest. She’s dead to you anyways.” He tilted his head to the side allowing his sire to see the side that the others never did, the worry and the concern that only came where David was concerned. Dwayne paused a moment sliding his fingers further up David’s thigh, “you killed your mom, your dad your other sibling, what makes her so special?” David growled, his teeth curling back over his lips as he shoved Dwayne away from him.
“Never mention them in from of me again.” He spat as he stood, reaching for his jacket. Dwayne grit his teeth as he reached forward to grasp David’s wrist.
“You killed them all for me David, every last one of them you tortured and drained dry. Why not her too, the last of your family? Send her where the rest of them are, in hell where they belong.” Dwayne’s head snapped to the side with a sickening crunch having never seen the hit coming.
“I told you to never speak about them in from of me.” David said his voice even as he barely managed to hold back from harming his brother. “I will not control myself the next time that you do.” And then he was walking towards the front of the cave, his trench coat billowing out behind him as he walked. David stopped one foot short of the entrance of the cave, his fingers brushing back through his hair as he considered what his brother had said before shaking his head and smirking slightly to himself, the mental image of his sister running for her life and finally admitting that she couldn’t take care of herself playing itself over and over through his head. “Do what you want with Natalya; I could care less what you do.”
Dwayne smiled from his spot on the floor, his fingers curling into fists as he thought of what he could do to the little human girl, who had come to be a pain in his ass since she had arrived twenty four hours before. Slowly he rose to his feet, his legs carrying him to the mouth of the tunnel that she had disappeared into, his mind planning as his feet walked. He paused a moment, his nose turning up in the air as she searched for her, the human scent of her blood calling to him.
