Chapter 4
The Black Pearl had landed in Turtuga two days ago. The first day in port had seen the crew searching for goldsmiths and trading for supplies like rum, food and irs.irs.
The second day was' shore leave'.
Leaving a few men on watch; Jack, Anamaria, Gibbs, and the others went on a pub crawl.
It was late when Jack returned, alone, to the Pearl. He'd insisted the others stay and celebrate.
He staggered up the gangplank, drinking deeply from the bottle of rum he carried. He waved to the guard on duty, not noticing the the man's unnatural stillness. His feet dragged as he shoved open the door to the Captain's Quarters. It was dark inside, but he didn't bother with a candle.
Placing the bottle on the top, Jack shrugged out of his jacket and sword-belt, toeing off his boots at the same time.
He didn't see who struck him, nor did he hear the chilling, hoarse laughter that filled the room.

Jack was convinced that if he moved, his head would fall off. Someone had mercifully made sure the drapes were closed, otherwise, the sunshine would split his head wide open.
"Just how much I d I drink last night?" He croaked, squinting his eyes against the dim light. He moved only slightly before realizing he could move no further. His hands were bound together above his head, tied to the headboard.
"Not just the drink, Jack."
Jack could have gone forever without ever hearing that voice again.
"Barbossa. Thought you were dead." Strange how calm his voice was, when his heart was pounding so hard.
"I was." Barbossa d cld closer, into Jack's line of sight, settling on the bed beside him. "I'm not, now."
"I can see that. Why?" Jack resisted the urge to move away.
"Not sure exactly. I think it has something to do with this." He held a gold coin in his fingers, turning it to catch the light. It was familiar; golden skull staring balefully, sightlessy outward. "Seems I have forever again." The older man smirked. "Forever is long time, Jack. But I have thought of something to pass the time."
"Oh, do tell." Jack tugged at his bonds, only half-listening to his captor.
"Revenge. On you, on the whelp." Barbossa tucked the coin away, slipping it back into his pocket. " The ship is mine, again, Jack. While you and yours were out drinking like fishes, I found some of my old crew. Seems they have a bone to pick with you, too."
Jack stared at Barbossa, aghast. "Leave the boy out of this."
"No, don't think I wiJackJack." Barbossa stood suddenly. "In fact, we've already set sail to retrieve him. I can feel you, you know. Just as I can feel him. It's the gold. They've left a mark on you both, and I can fell it, calling to me."
"He has nothing to do with this!" Jack hissed, eyes narrow.
"He has everything to do with this." Barbossa said.
"Leave him be!" The black-haired pirate shouted.
Barbossa slapped him. "You'll not be raising your voice to me. Soon, you'll be calling me Master. The boy, too. I'll be having my slaves obediant."
Jack probed the corner of his mouth with the tip of his tongue, tasting the sweet copper flavor of blood. "Never."
"Never?!" Barbossa laughed; a cold, harsh sound. "You'd rather be dead than 'be there' for the whelp? I do intend on keeping him, at least. Perhaps he'll enjoy the taming."
"Go to hell." Jack sneered.
"Been there, Jack. And I'm quitre hre he'll say thme tme things, at least at first. 'Never!' and 'I'll die first!'. Not so. He'll die, but not first."
"Shut up!" Jack whispered.
"In fact, I'll make him beg for death before the end. Pass him 'round the crew. They'll make him scream."
"No!" Jack thrashed.
"Yes, Jack, I would, and watch, too!" He was stern, cold.
"No!" Jack gritted his teeth.
"Yes, Jack. Would you let him suffer alone? I'll just kill you now, shall I, and that the boy face his fate alone?"
"No." Jack shuddered.
Barbossa leaned down to whisper in Jack's ear. "I drempt it last night. Your screams mingling together. It was music to my ears."
Jack glared, silent. Barbossa was a monster, and wouo aso as he said.
"Of course, your behavior directly affects the whelp. Behave, and I'll not give the boy to the crew. Might keep him." He cupped Jack's cheek gently, sliding a thumb over plump lips. "Convince me."
Jack's lip curled, but he took Barbossa's thumb into his mouth, swirling his tongue around the pad and sucking hard. He lifted his head to follow Barbossa's hand as he pulled away, increasing suction and gripping with his teeth.
"Well- spoken, mate." He pulled his thumb away with a wet smack. "Let's hope the boy is as ....learned... as you."
He gripped Jack's chin and kissed him, savaging the mouth under his with a passion only hate can fire.
