Chapter 5
Chapter 5/32
Riddick stood staring in the eyes of Angel. Strangely, his inner beast recognized the demon in the man that stood across the way. Riddick was totally oblivious to this recognition. Beast stood eye to eye with demon…hmmm what a predicament. Those hooded monkeys abruptly snatched the beast out of its dormant state. Now, it’s totally wide-awake. Riddick finally noticed this transition. He suddenly felt the urge to ghost someone or something. But didn’t understand why. Why?
Fred went upstairs to find Cordy. Sometimes those visions took a lot of energy out of her although she was now part demon. If Cordelia were given the same choice back then, she would make the same one. She’d become part demon to save the man she loved again. After this recent violent vision, she needed to relax and release that negative energy.
Gunn went to go give Angel the 411 on the situation at hand. Riddick was too consumed with his inner struggle that he didn’t see him leave.
Gunn told Angel everything that happened behind the diner. He informed him on how skillful Cari was. He even advised that they should enlist him into their mission. He’d be so helpful since he’s a rogue and all. It didn’t take much convincing for Angel to allow Riddick to stay. He also warned Angel that he didn’t know that he was a vampire. Gunn felt that he wouldn’t have come if he knew. Angel agreed and told him that he’d think of some way to tell him tomorrow. But for now, Cari needed to get cleaned up and get some shuteye.
The two friends left Angel’s office and headed towards Riddick. Riddick was immediately brought out of his primal state as the men stood before him. Fortunately for them, he managed to restrain the beast within him.
After Gunn introduced them, Angel took Riddick upstairs to find him a room. There, they found Fred and Cordy chilling in Cordelia and Angel’s room. They were watching I Love Lucy. It was the Famous "Chocolate Factory" episode.
Riddick and Cordy made eye contact for a second. They silently said hello and Riddick followed behind Angel. Angel found a room three doors down. The room was huge. All the rooms had bathrooms so he didn’t have to impose on anyone else’s privacy.
Angel showed him where everything was from towels to soap. Angel went to go get him some clean clothes while Riddick took his bath.
Riddick let the water run until it was steaming hott while he stripped off his soiled clothes. Then he put a stopper in the drain to hold the water inside. He poured some bubble bath into the tub underneath the faucet. The aroma permeated through the room, it did wonders for his nose. He then shut off the faucet when the level reached his desire.
He stepped into the steaming water and let out a small growl. His body had to adjust to the high temperature of the water. He let the steaming hott water soothe his aching and ripped muscles. He bathed and just relaxed until the water turned cold.
He then pulled the stopper out of the drain. He rinsed off the soapy suds as it ran down his Oh So Perfect Form. He turned the faucet off and stepped out of the tub. He grabbed the huge purple towel hanging on the door. He wrapped it around his waist and walked out the room.
When he approached the bed, he found a gorgeous pair of silk black pajamas. The shirt was long sleeve with buttons down the front. There was nothing fancy about the pants. Riddick immediately dried off and put on the pajamas. They almost fit perfectly. He needed just a little more room in the crotch area.
He didn’t waste any time crawling in the bed. There, he found the snuggly and warm comfort of the cool sheets. They felt really good to his clean and relaxed body. He tossed and turned until he found a vindablous position and dozed off. Luckily, the beast took a chill pill too.
