an: well, here we go.. please review and rate or whatever, and tell me if people are getting mary-sue-ish or out of character. leave jack alone, generally, though, because I really don't see him as drunken cocky bastard. so cope with him. his film self will emerge when he's finished telling his story and they head off to rescue will, etc. Frodo says hello to all. So do I. and disclaimer is ch. 1, don't sue.
chapter 6
"Murdered? I said. "By whom?Why?"
"who do ye think, love? My poor excuse for a bastard father, is who. He discovered my excursions and decided to make us all pay. Do you see any of how my story fits into your own yet?"
I tried hard to remember. "Bill Turner? Didn't you say that your lost friend's name was William Turner?"
"Indeed I did, love. William Turner is Bill Turner's son, and a dear friend of mine. His safe rescue is not only my last chance to save a dear compnion, but thek tok to my avenging the death and honoring the life of James Turner. Now I don't expect you to care about this, Ms. Delamar, but I'll get to that later. Do you follow me so far?"
I nodded, and he leaned forward to caontinue his captivating tale.
"Yes, when my evil father found out that I had been secretly defying him for a year, he went after James Turner with the wrath of a thousand neglected gods. And he should know that feeling..."
"Wait, what?" I was befuddled again.
"Nevermind, love. Later. He stabbed James Turner in the back in broad daylight, and brought me to the deserted island Bill and I had played on that first sweet day. I soon found why why it was deserted. While the sun lingered in the sky, all was well and food was plentiful in the fruit trees lining the bay. But when darkness surrounded me, I found myself shelterless in a maze of wild beasts, torrential rain, and an occasional flame from a rogue lightning bolt. I could only stay on that island for two days, and when a ship passed I boarded, though it pained me to desert any chance I had left of being reunited with my one friend, Bill Turner. As it turned out, the ship was a smuggler's vessel that could sympathize with my story and brought me to the peaceful villlage of Avestruz, and left me there with enough rum to barter lodgings. I would later meet these same smugglers as I was marooned on another island, but that's a later story. Anyways, there I was, on Avestruz, all alone save a case of strong Patocan rum. I was ten years old at the time."
