Chapter 6
As soon as their feet touched the bottom of the steps, the chatter of voices continued. The pristine moment that they walked down the steps made Sarah’s heart flutter. All the men in the room looked at her the same damn way, and she could almost taste the lust dripping in the air. Something told her that she would be a MAJOR conversation piece tonight, but not of the normal kind. She smiled outwardly and winked at a young man as they passed by. He nodded and watched her walk away.
“Jareth. Long time no see.”
Sarah turned her head from the young man and found an older man with his arms outstretched. While he looked familiar, she couldn’t place where she had seen him before. He looked, remarkably like Jareth.
“Uncle Kristoph, nice to see you again.”
Sarah watched the bow to one another, and then hug. She smiled as Kristoph looked her over. Blush escalated to her cheeks as his eyes lingered on her hips and breasts. *all men are pigs* She thought as she adjusted herself, only to press herself out farther.
“Kristoph, this is Sarah. Sarah, my uncle Kristoph. He rules the lands to the North of here.”
Sarah bowed her head and ducked her shoulders.
“Oh no my child,” Kristoph grabbed her chin and lifted her head. Sarah’s skin flared where he touched it, “You need not bow to anyone. Some one of such grace and beauty needs to be worshiped themselves, not bowing to people.”
Sarah smiled and nodded to the compliment. Jareth on the other hand looked a little annoyed. He saw her reaction to Kristoph’s hand, and he did not like it.
“Tell me uncle, how is the land these days?”
Kristoph looked from Sarah to Jareth and smiled. “Doing wonderful. The mines are really coming along, and the first snowfall has come.”
“Snow?” Sarah said looking excited.
Jareth looked at Sarah warningly. She spoke not only out of turn, but to someone who was higher than her when she was not spoken too.
“Do you like snow, my dear?” Kristoph asked her.
Sarah blushed a little and nodded. “I haven’t seen snow in a while. It never snowed much where I lived before here.”
Kristoph nodded. “I hear the Aboveground gets snow in seasons. Tell me, how is it up there, with no magic, no hope for anything but disaster?”
Sarah scoffed at the man. “How dare you speak of my home like that.”
Jareth moved to Sarah and touched her arm. She was treading dangerous ground.
“Think nothing of it, Jareth. She has a right to defend her land. I would expect nothing less of her. Still she is defending in vein. Soon, there will be nothing left to defend.”
“What is that supposed to mean?” Sarah asked looking at Jareth.
Kristoph smiled and laughed a little. “You have not told her?”
“Told me what?” Sarah almost yelled.
Jareth shook his head and reminded himself to get Kristoph back for this.
“Your land Sarah, is going to perish before long.”
“From what? It’s not like a land can just disappear.” Sarah smiled and looked around at the two of them.
“It can if the magic that is making alive drains.” Kristoph nodded to Jareth, who agreed.
“Like magic keeps Earth alive.” Sarah smiled and giggled. “You two are crazy.”
“It is true Sarah. Soon, the Gaia in which your precious Aboveground lives on will perish, and that is when we will strike.” Kristoph grabbed Jareth’s arm and smiled.
Sarah looked at Jareth. Suddenly, a brick wall hit her and the epiphany light turned on. That’s why he came and got her. Her body began to fill with a warm feeling as she half expected what was coming. Did he really love her enough to save her from the destruction of her planet? The destruction he was bringing?
“So, you are going to go up there and kill everyone? Just slaughter people and take over the land?” She asked, starting to shake.
Jareth sighed and shook his head. “Everyone is already dead. Don’t you see Sarah? The magic is gone from your world, your land is promised to demise. We are merely going to go Aboveground to claim what is ours.”
“Which is what?” Sarah asked. “Nothing up there belongs to you.”
Kristoph eyed Sarah and smiled. “I believe my nephew already went and get what he was after.” He turned to find Jareth blatantly ignoring him. “I have something up there I must obtain as well.”
Sarah sighed and held her temples. It was all so confusing. She jumped a little as Jareth grabbed her by the arm and led her to a corner. She looked into his eyes and smiled a little as he seemed just as uncomfortable as she did.
“Don’t worry about what he is saying. In all due time you will come to understand.”
“But Jareth, what about the lives of the people who are alive and what about my family?”
“You need not worry about it.” Jareth sighed and rubbed his temple. “This was not supposed to happen. Listen to me,” Jareth took her by her shoulders and rubbed little circles with his thumbs on the cloth of her cape, “just try and forget it ok? Try to have a good time tonight and I will explain everything later.”
Sarah nodded and relaxed a little when his hands fell from her shoulders. “But, I thought I was just a conversational piece?”
Jareth turned around to face her and smiled. “Just be polite and things will work out fine.” He reached for her arm and linked it with his, leading the way to a group of people.
“Jareth wait. I need to take off my cape. It’s getting hot in here with all these people.”
Jareth turned and took the cape from her shoulders. His eyes grew as the back of the dress revealed a corset style tie up the back, and the front was completely sleeveless. Her breasts, barely contained by the material glittered in the light.
“Where did you get that dress?” Jareth asked, trying to pry his eyes from her cleavage.
“I made it. Do you like it?” Sarah spun around so the bottom flew around her.
Like was an understatement. If she looked good before, she looked ravishing now.
“It’s very nice.” Jareth said, looking around the room. More people were starting to notice her. He quickly grabbed her arm and led her again to the crowd of people.
*Where did she learn to sew like that? She is lucky that some of the people here are as crazy as she is.* Jareth smiled to himself as he lead them to the dance floor.
Sarah nodded and winked at all the men she could as Jareth swept her from clique to group. She flirted and rustled her dress every chance she got. She could tell she was getting to Jareth and she loved it. *He doesn’t want to be honest about how he feels, then I guess I’ll play dumb.*
Jareth swept her away from the last crowd left in the room, a mere 2 hours had passed. It seemed like 2 minuets, with all the talking and all the compliments. The music had began to sweep through the air and everyone around the room gathered around the floor.
“What are they all waiting for?”
“For us.”
Sarah looked at Jareth in question. She struggled for a moment as he began to pull her out on the floor.
“Oh, I think I will sit this one out.” She said, attempting to pull away from Jareth.
“Nonsense,” He said pulling her to the center of the floor, “you really do look marvelous.”
Sarah, so caught off guard by the comment, let him sweep her in his arms. She looked into his eyes as he began to swing her around the floor. She blushed a little as his hands guided her hips, as his eyes never left hers. She couldn’t look away from him, it was like she was a moth trapped in a candle flame. She was frozen in his piercing gaze and she was liking it. A lot...
The world outside the two started to melt away as Jareth swept her across the floor. She couldn’t object to anything he did to her now. She was caught in the magic he was emitting and was drowning in the wake of his steps. She smiled slightly as he dipped her back, her eyes connecting with one of the men watching. She suddenly remembered that her mission tonight was to be a conversational piece. She smiled a deadly smile and winked. The magical energy from her grew and Jareth brought her out of the dip. She locked with his eyes again ans started to move more freely with him. The sudden relaxation made him wonder.
“What do you think you are doing?” Jareth asked her, pulling her closer to him.
Sarah smiled and rubbed her body on his. “I am making conversation.”
Jareth raised an eyebrow and smiled a little. “Dirty conversation.”
“What does it matter? You spoke of me as only a conversational piece, so lets give them something to talk about.” Sarah smiled as she glided around him and grabbed his ass.
Jareth jumped a little as she swept behind him and grabbed his left cheek. He felt her hands run down his back, saw her dress gather between his legs as she dipped down, letting her hands trail all over him. Jareth turned, making the biggest mistake ever, for she came back up the same way she went down. Her hands slid across him and he blushed violently.
People in the crowd began to snicker. Some of the men began to watch a little more closely. The ladies in the surrounding areas began to whisper. The ‘conversation’ had begun.
“Sarah,” Jareth grabbed her as she turned and began to rub her ass on his now very awake member, “what are you doing? I don’t like this.”
“On the contrary,” Sarah turned and kissed him on the cheek, nipping it a little, “your pants say different.” She giggled a little as she lightly touched it again. She jumped a little though as a tap landed on her shoulder. She turned and found Kristoph gazing into her eyes.
“Would you care to dance?” He asked, bowing slightly.
Sarah looked to Jareth, who didn’t look very happy about the situation, but nodded in agreement. Sarah took his hand and he smiled dangerously at her.
“You dance very brashly.” He said swinging her around the floor as others joined in.
Sarah smiled as she blushed a little. “That was not brash.”
Kristoph raised an eyebrow as he twirled her out from him and reeled her back into his arms. “I would call it that. What, my dear, do you call brash?”
Sarah’s thoughts flooded her mind all at once. What she did may have been a little out of the ordinary, but it was nothing bad. She smiled as she thought of what she could do, but then decided that it might not be a good idea.
*Why? Is someone going to get jealous? You heard him, he got what he wanted from you. Now, it’s time to pay him back.*
Sarah smiled again as her inner voice coxed her on.
*Do it. Be a cock tease*
“Brash,” Sarah smiled and nodded inwardly, “would be taking my hand,” she took her hand, “and sliding it down your pants, like so.” Sarah slip her hands inside of the lords trousers and smiled a little as his eyes lit up. Not touching anything but a little below the waist band, she slid it back out and winked. “Brash would be,” she pulled him closer, watching Jareth out of the corner of her eye as he saw that very last of what had just done, “whispering in your ear that I want you to fuck me, hard and long. Make me scream for more.” She slid the tip of her tongue along his ear lobe and smiled as Jareth’s mouth fell open.
Kristoph gasped in surprise and stopped dancing.
Sarah giggled a little and leaned in to nip at his neck and whisper in his other ear.
“Brash would be taking your hands and sucking on your fingers like so, while rubbing your hard cock inside your pants with my hips.”
She did the actions as she spoke, some of the people on the dance floor watching as she did.
Kristoph pulled away from her slowly as he searched for Jareth. His eyes met his, and he cursed under his breath.
“What is it, m’lord?” Sarah asked coyly.
“Jareth is making his way over here.”
“And?” Sarah asked, bowing to another young man who had come to dance with her. “Tell him ‘Hi’ for me.” She smiled at him as the boy swept her away.
“Kristoph, just what the hell was that?” Jareth said through his teeth, pulling him off the floor and to a corner of the room. He peaked over at Sarah to find her grinding on the next boy who had took her to dance.
“Your wench was seducing me.”
Jareth felt a stab of jealousy.
“She is not mine. I would not take her as mine,”
“Save your breath Jareth. You love her, you can see it in your eyes. And she loves you. She is vying for attention. She thinks you don’t like her, so she is trying to make you jealous.”
“I don’t like her.” Jareth hissed as he watched Sarah kiss the young man she was dancing with.
Kristoph laughed as Jareth’s fists grew tighter. “I think you better think that through. I wouldn’t want to lose someone like that.”
“I can’t lose it if it is not mine to begin with...” Jareth snapped as he walked to the dance floor. His blood was beginning to bubble.
*But if she is not yours and you do not want her, then why the reaction?*
Jareth scoffed at himself and turned his direction to a group of ladies. He never danced with women at a ball unless instructed to do so or unless he brought them.
Desperate times called for desperate measures.
Jareth walked to the group of girls and smiled a little to weak for them to think it was real, but none of them cared. The Labyrinthine King was asking one of them to dance, and he was not really asking, more like demanding. A small but well busted girl nodded her head to the others as she was pulled to the dance floor.
Jareth eyed Sarah as she was handed off to yet another man. His blood was beginning to simmer in his veins now. She was acting like a whore. Well, ok, maybe not a whore, but she was not acting very lady like. Jareth’s eyes scanned her over, her dress was beginning to look worn. Too much dancing. Too much teasing. She was acting brashly.
Sarah smiled at the women who only wished they could be acting like her. So what if she looked a little like a slut? Jareth wanted conversation. So she gave it to him. People would talk about this. Who could resist juicy gossip about a king with a devilish woman? She might pay for it later, but why should he care? The only reason he would care is if...
*If what? If he liked you? You know he doesn’t*
‘Which is exactly why this is so awesome.’
She smiled as her thoughts battled each other’s logic. She smiled at Jareth as he swept by her with another girl in his arms. Her ego took a hit, little as it may have been. He was beginning to call her bluff. To make it believable, she was going to have to do something drastic. She broke with the man she was with and headed for her one chance.
She smiled and nodded to every man that looked her over as she walked to her destination. Many men reached for her and she tried to not flinch as they touched her. She had to pull the whole charade off, even if that meant letting a few horny older men touch her. And walking to the man she knew would help her lead the way to the truth, she tapped Kristoph on the shoulder.
“M’lord. I was wondering if,” she slid her hand into his and puled playfully, “I could have a word in private?” Sarah tossed her hair and looked to see if Jareth was looking. She smiled a little as his eyes were trained on her and he was beginning to make his way off the floor.
Kristoph smiled and nodded. “But, of course.”
The two took each other’s arms and made their way out of the room, with every head turning to see the lady that came in with Jareth, leaving with his uncle. Heads turned to gossip as they passed, all of the people turning to find Jareth. He kept his distance for now.
Once out of the noisy ballroom and into the quiet corridor, Sarah sighed and smiled in relief. She made it out with out him saying anything or trying to stop her. He would come and find her and if she played it right, he would find them in a very compromising position.
“Tell me, m’lord, about your lands?”
Kristoph smiled as he opened a door for Sarah. He knew what she wanted. He knew the kind of games she had in mind. He was not a fool and to think that she thought he was, made him a little distraught. If she wanted to play, she had better of brought her A game.
“You want nothing to do with my lands,” he said closing the door and locking it behind him, “all you want to do is make Jareth jealous. Tell me, my little lark,” he moved closer to her, “why the facade? Why hide your real emotions?”
Sarah lifted her chin defiantly.
“I know not of what you speak.”
“Don’t lie to me you little wench.” Kristoph was in front of her quickly and had her by the throat. “Tell me, poppet, why you want to play these games with me?”
Sarah looked into his eyes. She knew he was cruel, she knew he was evil. Why did she choose him to fuck around with?
*Because anyone else would not have mattered*
Sarah sighed into his hand and lowered her eyes. She was immediately let go and hit the floor in surprise.
“I’m not cold hearted... nor am I stupid. Why play games Sarah?”
Sarah got up and rubbed her arm unsurely. Telling Kristoph was a big step, she didn’t even know him. But, she had to tell someone.
“I love him. And I don’t think he loves me and I am stuck here for the rest of my life and I don’t know what I am going to do!” She half told, half sobbed at the man.
Kristoph smiled at her and nodded.
“You were using me to get to him, I know that. But, how could you think he does not love you? Has he not done everything you asked? Didn’t he even reorder time for you?”
Sarah looked at him in disbelief. Coming from someone other than Jareth, it sounded like so much. It sounded so promising and so heart filled. He made it sound like Jareth did something for her, not against her. He made it seem like Jareth wanted her to be with him forever, wanted her to be with him always. Why was she having such a hard time grasping why he would want to.
“He loves you Sarah. He always has. The very moment you stepped into his territory, he bowed to you, his Labyrinth opened itself to you. We felt the magic shift in balance all the way up in the northern lands.”
Sarah shook her head.
“I don’t believe you.”
Kristoph laughed.
“I don’t expect you too. But what if he told you? Would you believe him then?”
Sarah laughed this time.
“Getting him to nice is hard enough. Like he would just tell me something like that.”
“You wanted to make him jealous, let’s give him something to get jealous about.”
Sarah looked into Kristoph’s eyes and noted the gleam of hilarity.
“You don’t mind?”
“Oh believe me, he has it coming.”
Sarah smiled as Kristoph moved to her.
“What are we going to do?”
He smiled and rested his head on her shoulder.
“Just call me Kris... and everything will be peachy keen.”
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Jareth waited patiently for the last of the people to leave the ballroom. When the two of them had disappeared, Jareth ended that ball that moment. He didn’t care who was having fun, or who he was trying to impress. Gods damn the day he let a women show him up.
Converse people did and oh it would be a while before he heard the end of this.
As the last if them scurried from the floor, he turned his attention to the matter on hand. He went out the doors that they had used and his ears were met by moans and whimpers. His blood began to infuse in his veins. Something was going on and it wasn’t right.
He followed the moans not far down the hall and paused outside a door that was locked shut. He leaned into the door, listening for the noises.
“Oh, my gods...”
Sarah’s voice rang out in a sing song tone.
“Sarah...”
Jareth’s head swam the noise issued from his uncle’s lips.
“Kris, don’t stop.”
Jareth froze. She just called him Kris. Only the people he fucked called him. How dare he touch her. How dare she even think about letting another man touch her body. How dare she
*How dare she what? Weren’t you, only mere moments ago, telling him she was nothing to you? What do you expect*
“Kris, yeah right there, oh my...”
Jareth broke the door down and was greeted by a scream. He looked around the room and was surprised to see Kris on top of Sarah, but sitting on her ass, with his hands on her shoulders. Sarah was face down, her dress down to her waist. Her shoulders and high back exposed. When Kristoph saw it was Jareth, he continued rubbing her shoulder blades.
“How does that feel?”
Sarah moaned a little and let her eyes roll into the back of her head.
“Wonderful. All that dancing really did a number on my back.”
“Get off of her.” Jareth said through his teeth.
Sarah lifted her head. She looked at Jareth and propped her head up on her hands.
“Is it against the law to get a massage?”
“I said, get off of her.” Jareth repeated.
“And I asked you a question.”
“It’s ok Sarah, I think your pretty well all kinked out anyway.” Kristoph said, letting the word ‘kinked’ linger a little long on his tongue.
Sarah sighed and got up, covering her front with a pillow.
“Thanks for the massage! Same time next week?”
“I think not.” Jareth said watching his uncle leave the room.
Jareth drew a crystal from the air and threw it at the door, fixing it instantly. He turned to Sarah, who was currently discovering a fixation in a split end she had in her hair.
“You care to tell me what that was about?” Jareth asked.
“I don’t really care for anything from you.”
Jareth took the mental bitch slap and scoffed.
“I asked you a question.”
“And I gave you an answer.”
Jareth moved closer to her and stood at the edge of the bed.
“You have no remorse for your actions? Dancing on any man that comes along, groping complete strangers, let alone a king in front of all those people?”
“You said you wanted some conversation.”
Jareth frowned.
“Conversation... not gossip. I can only imagine what they are saying.”
“And why do you care Jareth?”
Jareth looked at Sarah as her voice came out shaky. Her eyes were lined with tears. Her face looked worried.
“What?”
“Why do you care? Who cares if people think I am a slut? You already told me you fucking raped me, so I guess I am.”
“Sarah, I,”
“So what if I let every guy in that god forsaken ballroom touch me? Its not like anyone cared if they did. You had your fun with me, didn’t you.”
“Now wait just a second,”
“SO WHAT,” Sarah said, standing and struggling to keep her balance on the soft mattress, “IF EVERY PERSON IN THERE THINKS I AM NOTHING TO YOU? ISN’T THAT THE TRUTH?”
“I,”
“You what Jareth? Why don’t you just say yes? Crush me down and shatter my hopes, yet again? Why not tell me yes and watch me crumble before your forces of all the all high and mighty Goblin King! Why don’t you tell me Jareth, how I mean nothing? Tell me once again.”
“I can’t.”
Sarah looked at him and laughed. She really laughed.
“And why not?”
Jareth looked at her and avoided her eyes.
“Because it’s not true.”
Sarah scoffed.
“What’s not true? That people think I’m a slut? That I behaved ‘brashly’? That you think I am nothing?”
“I do not think you are nothing.”
“Oh fucking really? Then what do you think Jareth?”
Jareth looked up and caught her glistening eyes. They were fresh with tears as she poured out her soul.
“I think I love you.”

Hope you all enjoy...
