Not Knowing No

I know that I haven't updated in a while but I am doing it now and will be putting a few more chapters in in the next few days. I hope you like it.

Oh and I don't own anyone but Serenity, Skyler, Kevin, Tank and Tonk. The others I wish I did own.

Serenity watched the sun as it rose in the sky and sighed. She was happy but still she knew that Skyler would come back for her. And she knew that he would bring his friends with him. But she would be ready. She knew that she would be able to stop him from ever coming after her again. It was time to lay the plan out. It was time for her to start her training again. “Hey why aren’t you a sleep?”

“I will sleep when I am tired.” She said not looking up.

“You know that Letty will be watching out for you. She isn’t someone that let’s something like this go.” Vince said as he handed her a cup of coffee.

“I’m not worried about her. I have something more important to worry about. She is nothing but water on my back at the moment.” She said to him as he sat down beside her on the picnic table.

“Why did you believe him?” Vince asked her.
She looked at him and gave a sad smile. “When my grandmother died the only person that really cared about me was gone. I had no one that cared so I blocked the world out. Skyler came into the shop I was working in while I was in school and we hit it off. He brought me back out of my shell. He was a great guy in the beginning. He showed me love or I thought that he did. But then he changed like over night. The first time he hit me he was mad about his boss cutting his hours. The next day he bought me flowers and a bracelet and praised me over and over again swearing that he would never hit me again. I should have left then but I thought that I loved him. Then I did but now I hate him with everything in me. He drove those words into me over and over again. No matter how well I did to make everything for him he told me I was nothing but trash.”

Vince looked at her and smiled. “I have to admit when Dominic stepped in at the club I thought that he was stupid. But I see now why he likes you so much.”

“He doesn’t even know me Vince. If he did he wouldn’t like me at all.” She said to him.

“They let us get to know you. It should be us that make that decision, not you.” He said to her.

She smiled softly and shook her head. “You remind me of my brother. I haven’t seen him in eleven years now. Funny, huh? But he was a great guy when dad wasn’t around. But you remind me of him because of your eyes. He had eyes like you. They betray the fact that you play stupid. You can see that you know more then just cars. Thank you for being there for me Vince.”

She kissed him softly on the cheek and sighed. “If he didn’t have his sights on you I would be after you in a second.”

“It’s hard for me you know. It’s been many years since I have had sex willingly. But here there are all these sexy guys that I won’t mind going to bed with. But still I hold off. I am so scared to do it Vince. I am scared because I fear it will be pain. I don’t remember having good sex anymore. I know I have but I just can’t remember it.” She said to him.

He slipped an arm around her and pulled her into his lap. He turned her so she was facing him and looked into his eyes. “Don’t do anything you aren’t ready for. All of us would wait forever just to show you what good loving is.”

She smiled at him and hugged him tightly. “I am glad I met you guys. I know that I haven’t showed it but I am. You guys are helping me in more ways then you know.”

“You are helping us too. We haven’t been this close in years.” He whispered into her ear.

They sat like that just talking and hugging for a long time. She fell a sleep in his lap and he carried her into the house and up to her room. As he placed her in her bed Dominic walked in and looked at him. “So did you learn anything new?”

“Go down stairs I will talk to you later.” Vince said to him as he moved her hair out of her face.

They walked down stairs and the others were they looking at Vince strangely. “What?”

“You and Serenity seemed to be getting close.” Leon said to him.

“She needs someone to talk to you know.” He said to them.

“So what did you learn?” Dominic asked him.

“That is something I won’t tell you right now. She didn’t say I could.” Vince said to him.

Dominic nodded and looked at him. “She is getting to you isn’t she?”

“How can she not get to me Dominic? How can she not get to every guy that is in this house?” Vince asked him.

“Hey Brian you think you can get Roman here?” Vince asked him.

“I don’t see why I can’t he likes you guys and he can’t get enough of Mia’s cooking. Why?” Brian asked him.

“He is going to be Baby girl’s body guard and training until we get a few of our old friends here.” Dominic said to him.

“Oh he is going to love you guys for this.” Brian said as he grabbed his cell phone and walked into the living room.

“I’m calling Sean, Riddick Xander and Tank and Tonk. I think they will be go with her. They each have their own style in fighting and handling weapons. She said she has trained with a few people and knows a lot but I want her trained for this shit. I know that this guy isn’t going to stop until she is back with him or dead. He will do anything. Leon place word with the street racers and white boys asking about a new female racer is to be told nothing. I want Hector and Edwin here tonight for dinner too. I want them in on this we will be able to use their people for this. I had Jesse look up this guy and he is well connected here and in Florida. He has a lot of friends and they are just as nasty as he is. They will be heading this way and they will be wanting action. So you know us we can’t be rude. We are going to deliver them some action.” Dominic said to them.

“Jessie you are staying here today. I want you to be with her all day so she isn’t alone. We got things that we have to do and she has some things that she wants to get done. You drive her any where she wants to go. I don’t want you to let her out of your sight for a second you got me?” Vince said to him.

“You got it V.” Jessie said to him.

Dominic nodded and they all left to do the things they had on their list. Leon called Hector and Edwin told them what was going on and told them to drop word. Then he told them they were coming over for dinner. Jessie got on his laptop and set some things up for this little deal. He was able to get notice when they would arrive by plane bus or train. So he had that covered. He also had look outs for how their money was thrown around. He watched for large sums of money and traced it. Then he found something that really interested him. There was a large sum of money wired to L.A. a few weeks ago and he traced it. He found out that it was to Kevin. That made it all fall in place. He didn’t want her for him he was trying to get her outside so the others could grab her. He grabbed his cell and dialed Dominic’s number. He got the voice mail and left a message. Then he saved the data and moved on.

Dominic and Vince visited Xander at home and told him what was going on. He packed some things and threw it in his car. They headed over to Sean’s and told him what was going on Demetrius was there and he wanted in on it too. So they packed some of their things and headed out. Riddick was out of town until tomorrow so they called him and told him what was going on. He cut his trip short and headed back. Tank and Tonk were in jail again so they bailed them out and talked them into doing this. By time Dominic got Jessie’s message they were heading home. Jessie and Serenity weren’t there when they got there and they were glad about that they had a few things that they had to do and they didn’t want her in on it yet.

Serenity looked at herself in the mirror and then turned and looked at Jessie. “I don’t know Jessie. What do you think?”

“Girl you are hot as hell. Come on everything you have tried on has looked good on you.” He said to her.

“Then I will get it all. Now all I need is some personal things and I will be ready. You want to go underwear shopping with me?” she asked him with a sly smile on her face.

“Even if I didn’t I wouldn’t leave your side anyways so get changed and come on. It will let me have fantasies about how it looks on your body.” He said with a huge smile on his face.

“You are such a freak.” She said to him.

“Can’t deny it my dear.” He said as she went into the changing room.

She laughed and pulled the dress off. Then she pulled the shorts on and sighed. She pulled on Dominic’s shirt and smiled as she smelt his scent on it. When she came out they headed to the underwear area and she went wild getting everything she wanted and some things that she didn’t because Jessie said it would look good on her. Then she asked the woman if she could use the changing room after they paid for the stuff so she could wear something decent out of the store. The woman agreed and she pulled out a thong pair of jeans. Then she grabbed a tank that had a bra built into it. When she came back out she felt better and Jessie whistled at her. “Damn sexy drop it like it’s hot.”

“I wouldn’t want to hurt you sweet thing.” She said with a wink.

He laughed and grabbed her bags. They left and headed home. When they got back Serenity’s eyes grew wide because of al the cars there. Jessie smiled at how fast everyone had gotten here and he knew that when he walked in Dominic would like to know what he knew. He had told Serenity and she said she knew that was the main reason she fought so hard against him. Serenity walked in first and stopped in her tracks when she saw the huge group of guys looking at her with their jaws on the floor. She smiled, shook her head and laughed. “Close your mouths you look like you are catching flies. Be back in a few got some things that I have to put away.”

Dominic nodded and she walked up stairs. The moment they heard her door close Dominic looked at Jessie. “What was that about Kevin?”

“He was paid off by Skyler. He was trying to get her out of the club to take her to him that was why she was fighting so hard.” Jessie said to him.

“I’m going to kill him.” Vince hissed.

Everyone turned around and looked at him in surprise. “Look she is family now and no one and I mean no one hurts my family like that and lives.”

“Now that is the sweetest thing I have heard in years but Vince don’t worry I got him already.” Serenity said from the door of the living room.

Everyone turned back to her in horror. Jessie flushed pink because he hasn’t gotten to that part yet. “She is a genius on the computer. She hacked into his criminal file and put him down as someone wanted for a hit and run. He is on his way to prison. She ahs someone she knows that will have him gone in a few days.”

Serenity looked away from them and walked down the hall to the kitchen. She grabbed a glass and grabbed the tea out of the fridge. “Are you ok?”

“Oh I’m great.” She said to him.

“Funny you sound like you are pissed.” Dominic said to her.

“I’m not pissed Dominic I am enraged. I am enraged I let it get this far. I should have put a stop to this before it even started. Then I wouldn’t have to have done what I did. I hate myself because I doubt myself because of him. He beat it into me over and over again and I believed it. Now I am going against it and I am scared. I am scared that I will find out that he was right all alone. That I am nothing but trash and I am worthless. You know what it is to fear the truth?” She asked him.

“It isn’t the truth. You are priceless because if you weren’t we wouldn’t be doing this to help you.” He said to her.

“You don’t know me enough to say that.” She said to him.

He grabbed the tea out of her hand and placed it on the counter. Then he grabbed her hand and placed it over his heart. “You feel how fast it is beating? That tells me that you are worth it. That right there tells me you are worth helping.”

She looked at him and allowed his fingers to trail up her arm and shoulder to her face. He traced her lips with his thumb and looked down at her. “You don’t know how bad I want to kiss you.” He whispered.

“You don’t know how much I want you to kiss me.” She whispered back before she pulled away from him.

She turned and poured her a glass of tea. Then she moved to but the tea back in the fridge. When she was done he grabbed her and turned her around. He backed her up to the wall and looked down at her. “I’m going to kiss you.”

She held her breath until his lips made contact with hers and she melted into the kiss. She opened her mouth and deepened the kiss. The reality came and she pushed him away. She forgot the tea and rushed out the back door. “Now that was something I didn’t think she was going to do.”
