Authors note. Ok, so please review.

Chapter six.

The Return of Darkness.

It was still night, you could see the stars shining brightly against it.

If you looked closely you could almost think that two of the stars were moving together. If you looked a little harder you would see that it wasn’t just two stars it was many and they definitely were coming together, very quickly.

If you were still watching you would see that when these stars finally collided they began to move as one towards the Great Tree at an astonishing speed.

Darkness fell upon the floor of the chamber in which that brat boy had defeated him.

He had reformed in the expanse of space, if the boy had known anything he should have known that to push him into the darkness of space was no way to defeat him. The boy never would have won had he not been so distracted by the death of his lady, and the words she had said before she fell to the floor.

He raised himself onto his knees and looked around for his severed hand, he did not have to look for long as it was in fact right next to where he had landed.

He picked it up with his good hand and placed it on the bloody stump of his arm, instantly the black blood stopped oozing from the stump and instead began to join to the lifeless hand after what seemed like mere seconds, he flexed his newly joined hand in experimentation.

Satisfied he looked around the room and spotted his lady’s body, it was exactly as he had remembered it He secretly thanked Satan that the boy and his stupid followers had not moved or destroyed her.

He stood slowly and walked over to her, for the first time he took a truly close look at her.

She was truly the most beautiful creature he had ever seen, her hair had at some point fallen out of the net it had been concealed in and now it lay beautifully around her face and neck spilling onto the floor. The effect spoiled slightly by the blood that had dripped into it causing it to look even darker than it already was.

Her eyes stared blankly up to the ceiling, they looked so empty and cold but they were still mesmerising and held such beauty. Her body was at the edge of puberty at only eighteen she was still a child in most respects, but her breast he could see were still swelling at the speed a thirteen year olds would. It was as though her body had only recently decided to begin to grow and now sadly it would never have the chance to finish its journey.

Darkness felt an overwhelming sense of loss, he had known the girl for mere hours and already he could feel the loss seeping through his bones, permeating every pore of his body.

He reached down and broke the end of the arrow off so that only about an inch was visible out of her chest; he threw the arrow tail away behind him and looked down at her one more time before allowing a loud sigh to leave his lips.

He placed his arm under her head and the other under her legs and lifted her easily from the floor, registering how cold her body was.

He held her dead weight in his arms and began to walk towards the heavy doors leading further into the Tree.

He walked quietly not rushing, his steady footsteps the only sound that could be heard echoing through the hallway he was walking in.

A few goblins watched him from behind the huge pillars, trying to be as quiet as possible, this would not be a good time to anger the master.

He came to a door leading off the main hallway, a door you would not have noticed had you not known exactly where it was. They opened as he walked towards them and what lay on the other side of the doors was a truly amazing sight to behold.

The walls were no longer made of rough stone but in fact of huge black drapes, with silver trimmings and patterns adorning them, they looked like they were moving as the candle light moved against them. There were no pillars anymore and there were no doors leading off except one right at the end of the hallway. The door was truly magnificent; it was tall and had an arch at the top, which was covered in pictures of goblins and writhing bodies trying to escape their swords and spears.

As Darkness walked to the door it opened in front of him to another room of blackness, but this room was truly amazing to look at.

A huge four poster bed took up most of it. Its drapes were black, the sheets were black, the wood was a dark red, and it looked like a black hole. The rest of the room was much the same. The walls were rough again but they were covered in sconces, which lit the room to a near dusk brightness. The fireplace at the far end of the room burst into life, the flame shadows tickling the black rug that covered the floor near it.

Darkness moved over to the bed and placed Lili’s body upon the sheets, with her dress on she looked like was just half a body coming out of the bed.

He stood up suddenly began to speak to the room around him.

"Father, FATHER! Please come here father, I need your help!"

A hiss of wind swept through the room, and then as though he had always been standing there a man stood beside Darkness, also looking down on Lili’s body.

"What is the matter?" He rose his stare Darkness "What do you expect me to do?"

Darkness continued to stare at Lili’s body.

"Bring her back, I know you have the power."

The man looked down once again to Lili and sighed. "Do you know what will happen if I do?"

"No, and I don’t care, I am the master here no one will question what I do" Darkness rose his face up to look at his father, a look of defiance in his eyes.

"You are no master over me, I have more power than you could dream of!" His face flashed anger and a cool wind began to rise around him. His face softened after a moment. "That has no bearing on what I meant, what I meant was do you know what will happen to her?" He pointed towards Lili.

"No"

"No. I didn’t think so." He sighed, and the sound moved around the room loudly. "I can bring her back, but she wont be the same girl that died today. She will be like you, just as powerful but also just as dark"

"I don’t care, she sounds even more perfect than before." Darkness smiled at the thought of her finally completely giving in to him.

"No, you felt drawn to her because she was pure, innocent. She will no longer be those things. She has seen death, her soul will be as dark as yours, she will lose her mortal soul. She will live forever, as will you." He shook his head slowly.

"Will she want to leave?"

"I don’t know. I can not change the person she was."

A dark look came across Darkness’ face "Will she have to… feed the way I do?"

"Yes."

Darkness for a split second looked like he was going to explode with rage then he just put his hand on his shoulder and began to move his head stretching the muscles under his hand.

"I don’t care. I don’t care." It was barely a whisper, but his father heard him and understood. Darkness lived off blood and had to drink it to survive. Not too much and not to often, but it had... side effects.

"You will be more powerful than her but not for long soon she would learn of her own power and then you will powerless to her, you will be equals." The man said this as though it was very important, but it did not seem as though Darkness was listening to him.

"I don’t care I want her back!" Darkness looked him straight in the eyes and looked determined.

The man sighed, "Alright but do not say that I didn’t warn you"

Authors note. Ok I know I promised that Lili would be back in this chapter, but Iv kinda decided to move things about a bit. As at 1:30 this morning I realised my time line could not be any more out of sinc, so Please review!!
