Chapter 5 - Assassin
Oria watched as the crewman circled her and her fingers trailed over her cutlass lightly. He leapt and she drew it swiftly slicing through his chest neatly, the creature fell in two pieces behind her, “Again.” She glanced at Davy Jones but shrugged and sheathed her blade once more. He wanted to test her reactions, her ruthlessness, she would comply after all what was the point of fighting him… this was her life once more whether she liked it or not.
She had reasoned that it was safer than anything else, here she would feel nothing, want nothing… It was dangerous out there, in the real world. Emotion and feelings ran rampant and she wasn’t ready to deal with them again. She’d had been bred to destroy, it was the only thing she had ever done, the only thing she had ever understood. Feeling, even when it was supposedly good terrified her. It was unknown, killing, deception and perfecting sword play, those she knew and prided herself at being exceptional at.
A second crewman charged her and she side stepped him swiftly before grasping his arm and pinning it at breaking point behind his back. The creature screamed in agony and twisted against her, she pushed further and drew a dagger swiftly before slicing across his throat without hesitation. He fell lifeless to the floor and she glanced up at Davy Jones. He was nodding in approval as he stalked down towards her from the helm.
“You are ready to re-take your position on this ship. Prepare for your first task, you’re going after a pirate captain that owes me his soul.” Oria nodded curtly and headed for Davy Jones cabin. This was her life now, no questions asked, no doubting.

Will glanced up as the smithy door opened with a creak and a sinister man stalked in looking more than a bit evil with the scars adorning his face. Slowly Will lowered the hammer and sword he had been crafting and stood up to meet the man with a wary smile, “You Mr. Turner?” Will nodded slowly.
“Yes, do you need something making or repairing?” The man smiled faintly and held out a sheaf of parchments.
“These are for you. I suggest you read them and do as they say.” Will scowled at the sheets as they were pushed into his hands forcefully.
“Who are they from?” The man paused in the doorway and glanced backwards.
“A concerned friend Mr Turner.” Will glanced down at the official seal of the East India Trading Company.

Jack nodded and folded up the key cloth slowly, “So what you’re saying is that you aren’t entirely sure… but it might possibly work.”
Tia nodded slowly watching him curiously, “It is… a gamble.” Jack wrinkled his nose slightly at her comment and leaned back in the chair.
After several moments of consideration Jack stood up, “I’m willing to give it a go.” Tia smiled and cast the claws for the location of Davy Jones. They both stood looking down at them curiously.

Oria glanced down at Maccus as the longboat brushed against the pier, “Good luck.” He whispered with a cruel chuckle as Oria stepped onto it.
“I don’t need luck.” She jogged up the steps and brushed the door open without a pause, Tia Dalma glanced up from the claws with a surprised look before adopting her usual all knowing smile.
“My little dragon.” Oria raised an eyebrow as she closed the door slowly behind her.
“You have broken the rules.” Tia chuckled and leaned back in her chair, “I know who you are keeping here and you know that I was always going to come to destroy him.” Tia smiled deeper and slowly stood up to let her pass.
“He is sleeping now.” Oria glanced through to the back room and paused almost nervously before glancing around finally. A soft hand rested on her shoulder, “You are unsure.” Oria smiled faintly.
“That’s debatable.” Oria glanced back at her, “Why?” Tia smiled and strode back into the main room.
“Because I know you too well. I know dat it was never enough for you, you are my little dragon and I know you far better dan you know yourself.” Oria watched her curiously.
”Then you brought him here for me?” Tia smiled and pointed towards the doorway in an almost luxurious manner.
“I will not stop you from completing your task if dat is what you mean.” Oria nodded and drew her cutlass before heading into the room.
