Chapter 6: Love will conquer, or maybe not
As Hector chained Jack to the wall, he laughed, “Ye two have 15 minutes, say yer loves and goodbyes”
As Barbossa left, Jack moved to Will, who sat besides the bed, his leash connected to a hook on the wall, as Jack’s was.
They could only just reach each other, and Jack softly touched the youth’s face, “How many times must I tell you not to do something stupid William!”
Leaning in, the youth softly kissed him, “I couldn’t be without you, I’d rather face a thousand torments, than be without you”
Jack smiled, touch by the gesture, yet still unhappy with it just the same, “You shouldn’t have come here mate, it’s not lessened things for either of us, but, thank you for making such a brave sacrifice for me William, it doesn’t go unappreciated.”
Touching Jack’s chest, Will traced the healing wound he’d left, “It’s not bravery Jack, it’s love…You sacrificed for me, I did the same for you”
Running his fingers through Will’s hair, he smiled, “William, I’ve bargained with Barbossa, he will not hurt you, in return, I do as he bids, please him at all times and…take him to the chest of Davy Jones…”
As Will’s brow furrowed, he laughed, “The man with that chest, luv, controls the seas, Barbossa doesn’t know that’s where I’m taking him, I hope to find a means to escape before this moment arrives…he mustn’t get it…but I’ll give it to him, if it saves you”
Will shook his head, “I do not want you too, we will share this, I will help you, you help me, we can do this”
Jack smiled, softly kissing his blacksmith, “I love you mate, it’s unfortunate that Hector knows this as well”
Will smiled, “I love you too, my captain, whether Barbossa knows doesn’t matter. We are together”
Jack softly caressed the youth’s face, “I promised you I’d keep you safe from this”
Will smiled, “Aye, and you did…You sacrificed yourself twice, just to keep me save”
“Awww, now ain’t that cute! Ye must love the boy quite a lot Jack, I never knew ye ta be selfless”
Looking up from where he sat crouched on the floor, Jack smiled, “Aye, seems I lost me heart”
At the admission, Will gasped softly, though the captain had said these words to him before, he’d never uttered them in the company of others, sometimes making Will doubt the actual amount of love the pirate felt for him.
Barbossa laughed, “So that is why ye’d be sacrificing yerself, well then, let us go, the crew is eager”
Will grabbed Jack’s arm as the other moved to go, speaking softly, “There has been a change in plans. Jack goes back on his words, in return for both our services”
Jack’s head snapped to the youth, regretting the action, knowing he’ll never forgive himself for it.
Barbossa raised an eyebrow, “Truly now? Well boy, consider yer proposition accepted, but me crew still be eager and I will not be telling them no”
Jack gasped, “Not him”
Hector gave a nod, “It’d be a shame to have him lose his tightness, yer right Jack…”
Smirking he called for Bo’sun, handing Jack over, “Have fun, but don’t spoil his flesh more than ye need”
With a nod and a cheer, the large pirate left, dragging Jack along with him.
Barbossa looked at Will, “Ye be lucky boy, come we’re going ta watch the action”
As Will shook his head, he heard Jack cry out in pain, resorting to his last idea, he dropped to his knees, begging of the retched pirate to stop that torture, to spare both him and Jack, not to give them to the crew….
Barbossa chuckled, “Ye be an eager little slut boy, I will grant yer wish and keep the crew for yer punishment, should it be needed.”
