Chapter 6

Chapter 6/32

The next morning, mostly everyone was eating breakfast in the dining area. Angel was the missing link. He was trying to conjure up a clever way of telling Cari his secret. He didn’t want to get him upset. After all, he was some kind of Rogue; you can’t play games with him. He stood in his office looking around the room. He suddenly had an idea and headed towards the dining area.

He walked into the dining room holding a mirror in his right hand. Gunn was the first person to notice him. He could tell that Angel had a plan and was gonna execute it now. Gunn positioned himself in his chair so that he could prevent a potential beat down. Maybe even a ghostination….hopefully it wouldn’t come to that.

Fred glanced at Gunn and knew something was up. Cordy looked in Angel’s’ eyes and knew he was gonna tell Cari his secret. Finally, Riddick growled as he looked up. He smelled the tension brewing in the room.

Angel greeted everyone as he moved towards Riddick. It got really quiet in the room. Mouths stopped chewing while knives where safely put away. All eyes focused on Angel. Everyone played the waiting game.

Riddick just had a blank stare on his face.

Angel finally reached his destination beside Riddick.

"Mr. Jackson, there’s something very important that I have to tell you," Angel informed.

"Really, what might that be...Mr. Angel? And why are you holding a mirror? I thought you were a Manly Man," Riddick accused.

Angel smirked as he looked at Riddick. Everyone else gasped and realized that they didn’t even see the mirror. Now, all eyes were flowing back and forth between the two men. The tension was so thick now that even Riddick couldn’t cut it with his shiv.

Angel lifted the mirror to his face. He asked Riddick to stand up and look in it. Riddick looked at him like he had lost his mind.

"Man, Are you Crazy?" Riddick asked.

"C’mon Cari, this will explain everything," Angel said.

Against his better judgement, Riddick stood up and looked in the mirror. He was completely taken aback when he only saw his own reflection.

"What the…what kind of trickeration is this?" Riddick asked. My Recommendation, someone better answer me now before I get shiv happy on all your a$$e$," Riddick warned.

"Think about it Cari, I have no reflection in the mirror…I’m a vampire," Angel confessed.

As Riddick took out his shiv, Gunn was immediately on him. Unfortunately for him, he landed on his a$$. Riddick instantly had his shiv on Angel’s throat.

"Try again …Angel Copperfield there’s no such thing as Vampires," Riddick replied.

Everyone was screaming at Riddick to let Angel go.

"It’s true, he’s a vampire with a soul," Cordy said.

Riddick turned to her and asked, "What the hell does that mean?"

"That means that he doesn’t feed on humans anymore. That means that he’s a good person now," Cordy continued.

"Okay, Magician Man if you’re a Vamp, let me see your other face then," Riddick demanded.

Without any hesitation, Angel complied with his demand and began his vampformation. Riddick then put the shiv by his unbeaten heart.

"Give me one reason to not ghost your a$$ right now. And to think I thought I could tru…" Riddick admitted.

"Cari, you can trust me. Like Cordy said, I’m not what I used to be. I have a soul now," Angel pleaded.

Just then Cordy started mumbling unrecognizable words. Her head shot up facing the ceiling. Her eyes rolled back into her head and then rolled back. This time her eyes were a glowing silvery color. They also emitted this beautiful but eerie glowing silvery light all around the room.

Riddick and Angel both turned to look at the scene before them.

“What the hell is wrong with her?” Riddick asked.

Angel told him that she was having a vision and explained what that meant. Fred went and got a notepad and pencil for Cordy to draw on. Riddick let Angel go and stood to watch the show go on. Angel immediately was by Cordy’s side.

When Fred came back, she accidentally dropped the drawings of the hooded demons. Riddick saw it on the floor and picked it up. He knew what the drawing was instantly. He began to let all of this sink in. A vampire and visions? What have I gotten my a$$ into, he thought.

After Cordy drew the vision, she handed it to Angel. From there, it made its way to Fred. She asked Riddick if he wanted to see it and he nodded. He grabbed it from her small hands and held it in his big hands.

The first thing that he saw was a very beautiful woman with long blonde hair. A glowing silvery light surrounded her. The same light that beamed out of Cordy’s eyes… almost. Riddick was fixated on the woman’s eyes. They looked so familiar. He shrugged his shoulders and handed it back to Fred. But before she took it, he grabbed it back. His mind was wheeling and spinning. He took another look at the woman’s eyes and knew who they belonged to…Jack!
