to anyone that still follows this story. I WILL FINISH IT! I promise.
Hephaistion started to laugh, “You would sell me to the Persian courts without even knowing why I was kidnapped?”
The man grumbled in frustration, “Shut up! Would you rather have me kill you?”
“Oh please do! Kill me! End my misery stranger,” Hephaistion said through laughter.
The man pulled out his sword and held it to Hephaistion’s neck, “Will you laugh now?”
Hephaistion smiled and leaned in to the sharp edge of the sword.
“Are you mad,” the stranger yelled.
“Do yourself a favor stranger and just untie my binds.”
“Are you threatening me woman?”
Hephaistion smiled, “I could best you, even with the fullest belly.”
The stranger cut Hephaistion’s bindings and tossed aside his sword, “Let me shut you up once and for all little lady.”
The man took out daggers from his belt and tossed one to Hephaistion.
“Impressive,” the man said, “You didn’t drop it.”
“Now watch this,” Hephaistion said as he threw the dagger.
The dagger swiftly flew through the air and was lodged in the strangers throat.
The stranger’s eyes grew wide, he took the dagger out and blood spewed everywhere. Hephaistion laughed. He took the sword that the stranger tossed aside and walked up to him.
“Are you suffering? Do you want me to end it quickly,” Hephaistion questioned as he sliced off the man’s head not even giving him a chance to respond.
Hephaistion removed all of the stranger’s weapons and belongings and equipped them on himself. He stood facing the rising sun, with blood all over his clothing.

Olympias screamed in rage, “What do you mean you do not know where Hephaistion is?”
The servants coward in fear, “He was kidnapped my lady! It was out of our control!”
“It was Bagoas! He is the only one that would do this! Have every available guard search for Hephaistion and I want Bagoas back here alive!”

Hephaistion walked west. He imagined himself dying on his way back to Greece, but that would be all right. At least he was walking. At least he was not near Olympias. At least he was not in a prison anymore.
