Going Home
I stood up eventually and dusted off my body, “I hate this dress.” I muttered and waved my hand back over myself to right it back to my own clothes. The guys did the same thing, Dax and Daire decided to stay furry. The witches were all eager to watch me take us back to the present. I looked at Drustan and said my goodbye with a little smile. He lifted his hand and looked like he was almost sad to see me go. “Safe journey.” He said and I nodded. “Goodbye.” I rested my hands on my wolves and my guys all rested their hands on me.
I was looking at Drustan when I said my spell to return us home, wondering why it felt so wrong to leave him. He wasn’t Druex, it was just that he looked so much like him. That must have been it. “A time for everything and to everything it’s place. Return what has been moved through time” I saw Drustan’s jaw firm and his muscles bunch, like he was fighting to stay where he was. “And space.” I murmured.
