Chapter Six

Three years later…

Anakin held tightly to Aiden’s hand, the little boy liked to explore and he was worried about his safety around the old structure. Joss was trying hard to contain Micail and Goran as well, all three boys wanting to run into the entrance of the overgrown structure and explore. They consulted the map that Alexandra Aramatiea had given Acaciah and moved forward to inspect the opening, more than half covered with thick vines and foliage.

“Do you think this is just another old building they forgot about? “Joss asked, finally picking up the twins and holding them tightly, their legs kicking against him to be free. nakinakin grabbed Aiden right before he scooted away and set him atop his shoulders, grinning back at Joss.
“It is a lot more than that,” he answered, his voice filled with excitement. “This is THE temple.” They walked inside, pushing aside the vatioation with the Force. All three boys were wide eyed with excitement; this was a grand adventure!

Joss inspected the entrance to the next chamber. It was the entrance into what was left of the inner Temple- a large gray stone door, partially ajar, with a strange medallion carved on it. A musky smell emanated from the darkness within. The rest of the temple was completely covered in wild vegetation; the door was the only recognizable feature of the structure.

“Many years ago, when Yoda himself was a Padawan, in fact, the Fiona were still part of the Jedi Order,” Anakin began, walking toward Joss. “They were never typical Jedi; they stayed on their home world, married and had families, unlike most Jedi at large. But the Order back then had more respect for individual needs and differences, and allowed various beings to keep some of their cultural heritage.”

Anakin continued. “The Priestess of Parthenia, Deirdru, had lost her bondmate on a mission. Not six months had passed when a Jedi began to call on her to court her. Vedes, the Knight from Coruscant, married her quickly. Many of the other Fiona Lords and Ladies were quite distressed, for six months is hardly any time at all to recover from losing your life mate. Vedes and Deirdru bonded, and unbeknownst to her, Vedes studied the Dark Side in secret. Once a bonding is performed, it is nearly impossible to break as you and I both know, but Deirdru tried and drove herself mad in the process.” Anakin ran his hands over the medallion on the door as Joss leaned against the wall in rapt attention as Anakin continued.

“The incantation backfired and she too was drawn into the Dark Side. Deirdru and Vedas ravaged Alameen, slaughtering Lords and Ladies of all the Houses, and even Deirdru's own children when they tried to stop her insanity. When they had destroyed most of the Fiona's precious studies and holocrons, they headed for Coruscant and the Temple at large.”

“Are you kidding me Anakin?” Joss asked in disbelief. “They sure as the seven hells left that out of History at the Jedi Temple.”

“Now you know why.” Anakin said. “They would not want the Padawans tow iow information like this. It would upset too many people for innumerable reasons.”

Anakin nodded as he continued. “The Council and what was left of the Five Houses sent their best knights to dispatch the couple. When it was all over, many Jedi and Fiona were dead, and they blamed each other for the catastrophe. The Jedi Council accused the Fiona of being too lenient in their training; the Fiona claimed the Council should have kept better watch over its Knights. At length the Fiona resigned from the Jedi Order, each House announcing its resignation in turn. The only House to protest their rupture was the House of Sakarté…Someday Sakarté's Daughter will lead the Fiona back into the balance of the Force.”

Joss and Anakin walked over to the wall to read the Prophesy etched in its entirety on the wall.

The Chosen Ones shall bring balance to the Force and a new beginning shall unfold. Where the Jedi think that there is but one, six stars shine in the new creation. The Children of the Force shall rise, and the Jedi will be born again. He who is born the least among them shall be the greatest; Sakarté’s Daughter shall be the mother of the new Jedi. One shall rise from the ashes of destruction, marked with the sign of rebirth to join with the last warrior of the lost tribe. The last warrior shall rise and become the hand of justice in the new order.

The children of the Chosen shall bring about the great change, cementing the balance of the Force for all eternity. A leader shall rise and forge new bonds through union with a Ravenas Daughter. The seeker of knowledge shall find enlightenment with the help of the finder of ancient lore. The Son of Skywalker, tempered with the Living Force of Aquila, shall see the path of the future. A son of Justice abducted by Darkness shall be saved with the love of the Heir of Fenris. The Mark of the Dombrak shall lead the one taken in anger to the King of the Lost Tribe. Sakarté's Son brings strength to the Lost Tribe through union with the Daughter of Justice. One shall be seduced by the power of Darkness before overcoming the Lord of the Sith with the love of the Heir of Sakarté.
