Time To Let Go
Chapter7: Time To Let Go
Will began running after the carriage that carried his beloved Elizabeth farther away from him. He was still determined, no hell bent on keeping her at his side. “Damn it Elizabeth! Come back to me! You’re still my wife!” She looked out the window of the carriage to see Will running desperately after it. Elizabeth shouted out to him.
“Let me go William! I don’t lyou!you! Find someone else to love you the way you need to be loved! I can’t give you the kind of love you desire!” William stopped running after the carriage and watched as it jolted to a stop. He then jogged over to where it had come to rest. “William please go back to your home in Port Royale. Forget about me and find another love.”
“But I love you Elizabeth.”
“If you love me then you’ll let me go. My heart lies with Jack Sparrow. It’s time to let go of me William.” He looked deeply into her hazel eyes and could see that she truly did desire to be with Jack.
“Is Jack Sparrow the man you really wish to be with Elizabeth?”
“Yes more than anything. Please William, let me go.”
“I will if that’s truly what you wish.”
“It is. Now go back home and forget about me William.”
“I will let you go but I will never forget about you Elizabeth. Jack had better be good to you.”
“He will. He always has.”
“Go to him Elizabeth, it’s what you have been wishing for.”
“Thank you William.”
“Don’t thank me because I’m not doing it for Jack. I’m doing it because I love you and can’t bear the thought of denying you your happiness.”
“I won’t forget this William.”
“Go now before I change my mind.” She nodded and signaled for the driver to begin their journey again. Will watched as the love of his life got farther and farther out of his reach. He turned and began trudging back to his empty house. It was truly time that he let Elizabeth go. She was madly in love with another man, that man being his one time friend Jack Sparrow. He couldn’t help but wish Elizabeth had never laid eyes on the rogue of a pirate. Maybe she would still be with him if her heart hadn’t been stolen by the clever Captain Sparrow.
