Chapter 7
Chapter 7.
The next morning Jack woke up sensing someone wrapped against him. That’s funny, he could not remember bringing company. Jack shifted his body so he could face this so called womanly person. His eyes melted when he saw.. her. Now that’s interesting! He did not remember much from yesterday but he knew that this certainly did not happen.
Elizabeth opened her eyes when she saw Jack looking at her alarmed. She sat up next to him and they stared at each other.
After a moment, Jack fell back down again and closed his eyes. “T’is a dream right? Can‘t be real!” He uttered to himself.
Elizabeth smiled at him. “Why would you say that?”
“Because in the real world, Elizabeth Swann would never let me bed her. She was just playing with me the whole time and me being as stupid I am, let meself fall for it again.” He mumbled so she would barely hear what he said. But Elisabeth heard everything perfectly well.
“I’m sorry Jack.”
Jack eyes snapped open and he sat up beside her with a serious expression plastered over his face. “You keep saying that but I don’t really think you are sorry Lizzie.” He stated. “I’m right aren’t I?” He added when she didn’t answer immediately.
Elizabeth took a deep breathe. “I suppose. But that being said, it doesn’t mean I want you dead nor that I hate you because I don’t.”
Jack nodded. “It’s understandable if you do, really. You‘re not alone in this. Virtually the whole world wants me gone.” He forcedly grinned at her.
Elizabeth managed a half-smile before she once again spoke. ”Jack.. What I am truly sorry for is letting you believe that I might have felt something towards you. That was really cruel of me but the truth is.. Even though you might.. I-I don’t love you.” She merely whispered the last words when she saw his eyes darken.
“What makes you think I do!” Jack demanded angrily.
“You have been crying and I doubt it was all because of the rum was gone.” She simply stated.
There she was, yet again damaging what was left of his heart.
“I’ve not! Have dare you come in here-” Elizabeth cut Jack off with a kiss.
Jack didn’t respond back because he was afraid that she was yet again playing with him. He felt her smile against his lips. Jack shivered when he felt her tongue enter his mouth but forced himself apart from her.
“Make up your mind for once!” He whispered angrily.
“I can’t” Elizabeth started to cry hysterically. “I cannot break Will’s heart! He deserves better.”
Jack raised an eyebrow. “What about me?”
“You’re a good man Jack-” She trailed off.
Jack sighed. “But not as good as Will.”
Elizabeth stared blankly at him. “God, Jack can’t you understand that I don’t love y-” Jack immediately put a finger on her lips, stopping her from uttering those painful words again.
“I heard you once, loudly and clear. No need to repeat it again.” He stated angrily and disappeared out the cabin.
Elizabeth sighed. Who was she lying to? Perhaps she did not love him… yet but she did certainly feel something towards him. But then again, she loved Will and was to marry him. Not Jack.
Elizabeth raised up from Jack’s bed. Clearing her throat she made her way upstairs to where the whole crew was gathered.
