Alright, so here's chapter 7. I apologise now for it being slightly shorter, but it didn't seem to want to get bigger lol. Work has just been crazy this week and on my days off I was looking for a place to live. So yeah. Chapter 8 will be much bigger....maybe some steam even ^_~
Thanks to my beta Kit and the readers of course! You guys rock my stripy socks!

Dittle watched in amusement as the fleshy thing screamed and kicked at the flowers. Every now and again she would also throw her hands in the air and say funny things. He generally didn’t understand her on a normal basis. Fleshies talked too funny for them to make any real sense. They always used those strange noises that sounded a little like Bo-Ru talk, but always too long. And why didn’t the fleshies red get brighter like his? He kept trying to show her how to change from white to red properly, but she just couldn’t get it brighter. It stayed stuck to her skin.
All of this was starting to get boring though. Since the fey left his fleshy hadn’t stayed still. He didn’t understand why they were staying in the flowers when they could go to so many other places that were nice. Dittle hopped around, lightly touching from one flower top to another. He liked bouncing, and spinning. There was a puff of pollen as his tail swirled in the air above him.

Sarah fumed her normally pale cheeks a bright red in her anger.
“SO DAMN FRUSTRATING!” She yelled throwing her hands in the air again.
Moments after his royal pain in her ass had decided to leave she had commenced trying to walk out of the field of flowers, only to discover it wasn’t a field at all. There were walls that were painted in order to look as if the field just went on and on, but it went no where. Sarah had tried running her hands over ever inch of the wall hoping that this was just like the last time and she just wasn’t able to see the twist or turn with a first glance, but she couldn’t find anything of the sort.
“You enjoy making me act like a child don’t you?” She asked spinning around. “I’m starting to think you get off on it!” She huffed again sitting down quickly in the flowers causing petals to fly in every which direction, because of course they couldn’t just be like normal flowers and squish properly. She attempted to rip one apart viciously, but it also just turned into dust.
She sighed and glanced over at Dittle who had finally stopped making that annoying pulsing glow in her direction. She hadn’t quite figured out the little ball of fluff. One moment he was like her guard dog and in another moment he was…well, dancing on flowers really. Sarah folded her legs under her, resting her elbow against her knee and her chin in her hand.
She kept trying to figure out why her past had to catch back up with her. She had left all these childish fantasies behind. Grant it she had found new ways to entertain herself, but she had realized that she had to be practical and move on with her life. She wasn’t ever going to make it in a world of fantasy. There was no life in make believe. The old thought made her heart twinge and her stomach tighten. Adults had to give up certain dreams in order to be responsible, that is after all why she had chosen to stop the drama classes and pursue a life in the business world. Though now she thought perhaps if she hadn’t held on to that small childish part of her that allowed her to play pirates with Toby, and tell him that stupid story over and over again she would not be here right now. She’d be in bed, waiting for her dad and Karen to get home, and then continue on to her boring six am English class after a fitful night fighting off her dreams. She’d be normal.
What did she get instead? Trapped in this stupid labyrinth….again but with two stupid, smug, know it all feys that apparently found their amusement in messing with her mind!
“Arrrrgh!” Throwing herself back into the flowers with another wave of petals, Sarah realized she really didn’t have the time to be thinking about this right now. She needed a way out.

Jareth paced back and forth. He couldn’t get that damn girl out of his mind. She had managed once again to bewitch his senses and only in the expanse of a few hours. He snarled in frustration kicking one of the chairs in the room over. The black wood flew across the room splintering against one of the stone walls. The two small goblins that had been cleaning up the mess that had been made earlier that day scrambled out of the way, knocking into each other and the other various objects in the room. They squealed and shrieked trying to find the door and scrambled away from their Kings wrath.
“How you turn my world upside down Sarah.” A heavy weight settled over his chest just for the briefest moment before his eyes hardened. “But I’ll be turning yours upside down very soon.”
He smirked remembering how her lips had felt under his. He had wanted to do that for so many years, though he had to admit that he loved it all the more with how confused she had look at her own reaction to him. If he had kissed her when she had first entered his Labyrinth at the tender age of 15 she would have been nothing but teenage hormones.
It would be a relief to finally have her under him, begging him.
Let her feel helpless under his power.

Dittle had come to the conclusion that this fleshy was crazy. Why would you step on a tree when you could just fly up to the top in a single bounce? Really, fleshies had no sense at all, but he still liked this one all the same. Her magic was soft, warm, and sweet. She was so much better than that fey. He tasted just disgusting. Dittle’s fur shook slightly before turning a sickly green. If he had a stomach he surely would have lost the energy he had stored that morning, and by his fur the other one was almost as bad…made his fur stand on end and his tail stick straight out. He was a scary one alright.
Dittle shook himself, his tail wringing in one direction and then the other before he decided it was probably best to make sure the fleshy did not hurt herself, and bounced up into the tree with her.
****************************************************************************************
“Ah ha!” Sarah exclaimed. She was only slightly ruffled with a few leaves sticking out of her hair from the climb up the tree.
It had been worth it however in order to discover that she was still in the labyrinth, but she still had no idea how to get out of this part of it. The walls were way too high for her to climb over, and the tree was too far from the walls in order to make an awkward ladder. She had the urge to swear at the serpentine mass in front of her, and had to bite her lip as she glared at the castle beyond to goblin city.
Sarah attempted to shift her weight in order to get the branch out of her backside and to look in the other direction. However, fate had other plans. As it would so happen there wasn’t enough space on the branch in order for her to turn her foot completely, so instead she slipped. She gave a shrill shriek trying to grasp the closest branch in order to not hurt herself too much. She was barely able to grab at the largest that had been near her shoulder and that now looked over her head as she strained to keep a hold of it. Her feet were slipping and sliding to keep a purchase on the limbs below her when one suddenly dropped a few inches.
There was a loud click and then the sound of stone grinding against stone. Sarah attempted to crane her head around her arms in around to look at the walls surrounding her, and there it was. Off in the corner to the left of her, the wall was sliding open to show a pathway back into the labyrinth.
“Maybe I’m lucky after all.” She muttered to Dittle who was perching on her knuckles, and in a position that she assumed was to look at her. Dittle naturally made a small vibration in response, which of course tickled, resulting in Sarah letting go of the branch and proceeded to fall hard on her bottom at the base of the tree.
After several moments of untangling herself from the yards of silk, and few more spent rubbing her backside Sarah found the strength to pick herself up, dust herself off, and once more head off into that blasted stone maze.

All that glitters is not gold
Marek sat on top of one of the many rocks in this field. If one were higher up it would look was if a black spot smudged the golden scroll work of this part of the Labyrinth. They looked like one continuously swirling pattern of gold as if someone had painted the ground.
He had always liked it here. It was so beautiful, so deceiving. Just a quick walk past the golden rocks, no twist, no turns, but one wrong step and you fell to the caverns below the Labyrinth where you would be lost for days, or eventually swept away by the cleaners.
A smile crept across his lips at this thought.
He had to admit Jareth did have a certain style, and good taste in females even if she was human.
Marek rested his head in his hand thinking on those few precious moments. She was so naïve still, but she tasted so sweet. He had to wonder why Jareth had given her so much power and freedom.
How much fun would it be to break her? Marek wondered , a dreamy expression fixing itself to his features. He loved the thrill of breaking them. Their useless attempts at being stronger, having the bigger will, only to slowly lose their grasp in all reality because they are too wrapped up in the sensations he puts them through. His favorite part was watching the internal battles of hating him and loving him cross over their faces as tears streaked down their cheeks.
