A bunker turned room to himself, energon when he needed it or wanted it, no worries about being attacked or killed suddenly and time to himself when he wanted it. All that he wanted to be able to live a pretty good life.

So why was he being used as a giant teddy bear for one, tiny silver mech who glitched out on him so often?

Venting a sigh through his air vents, Barricade looked down at the silver ball that was relaxing on his chassis, sucking in his spark heat and pulses, chirping on occasion. It was kinda cute; if Barricade wasn’t a Decepticon he would have admitted that fact out loud. Red eyes glowed very lightly as Frenzy chattered, a rather odd sound at the best of times.

Shaking his head, the large black mech settled back onto the make shift berth, optics dimmed as he thought of how they had joined the Autobots and the humans who were their allies. He supposed he should have known something was wrong all those centuries ago when Megatron went absolutely bat shit crazy and started the war, but he hadn’t. He had been young, eager to please and willing to take on one of Soundwaves creations as a partner.

He had quickly learned that since they were created from one spark, they would be able to feel each other no matter where they were or what they were doing. He hadn’t really cared then, but after traveling together for so long, they had created a spark bond much like what Frenzy had with Soundwave and Barricade had learned something that he hadn’t known.

Frenzy needed to cuddle with the one he had a creator bond with and would often find a spot somewhere in Barricades compartments and would curl up near his spark, cementing the bond. By the time they had arrived on Earth, the bond had been complete and solid; the little fragger more loyal to him then even Soundwave had been to Megatron.

Still even then, it hadn’t set off any warning bells in his head. Nor had seeing Sam in a rather interesting outfit, standing amongst a car lot and in front of the yellow bug, looking rather excited about something that was going on in his head.

Of course, there were a few things that he should have tinged off to, but he never had. And now, he was allies with the Autobots, respected a select few humans, still followed Megatron and was being used as a giant teddy bear.

Groaning quietly, he shifted ever so slightly, one hand coming up to rest over the little silver mech that just chirped his displeasure before settling down again. It wasn’t that bad, not really. Frenzy wasn’t always bouncy, occasionally taking softer moods, turning contemplative and quiet. Sometimes he took on a sad air and Barricade had a feeling that he was thinking about the other creations that Soundwave had made. They still happened, but not as often as they used to. Especially since Scorponock was on base and happy, which made Frenzy happy. The others thought still worried Frenzy, especially since he couldn’t feel them at the moment.

It worried Barricade to but he hid that worry with long used practice and ease. He didn’t want the one he was connected to too freak out any more than needed. That wouldn’t be good for the fractured CPU that was Frenzy’s mind. Of course, that didn’t mean that Barricade wasn’t working on figuring out what was going on with the four others.

He had found out that Ravage and Rampage were in new bodies, but the other two were still up in the air. This, of course, meant that the large mech wasn’t going to say anything just yet even though he was starting to get from Frenzy and a few others due to his mutterings to himself. It was driving up a wall, keeping this from someone who amounted to his sparkling, his master and his new allies. He jus hoped that his informant could come through for him so he could stop hiding it. The shit that he went through for a glittchy pain in his aft.

Looking down and running a claw gently over the small helm, the Decepticon wondered if what he felt was like what Will felt for his own sparkling. He was so protectiove of the tiny mech that had been shoved into his life so suddenly that at first, the bond had been a rather strong surprise. But after a bit of time, Barricade had gotten used to it, even welcoming the warmth of the band and the love that came from the little mech. It wa s rather addicting and he welcomed it.

Though all of his thoughts, he had yet to figure out why Frenzy enjoyed using him as his personal teddy bear every night or tended to slip into a compartment that had been specially built near his spark chamber. It was rather interesting to feel another spark close to his own, to feel it pulsing in the time and the bond flaring between them every so often.

Shaking his head again, Barricade sat up enough until he was able to lean against the wall behind him, barely disturbing the silver ball under his hand, only feeling a small hand curl around one of his fingers and gently hold onto it. His audios perked up at the sound of small feet on the hard ground and the tip tap of metal on concrete, making him smile lightly. It sounded as if Miles was once more coming to wake them up on time and was being escorted by one well known scorpion shaped mech.

A quiet knock filled his hanger turned room, making Barricades optics flicker down to make sure that Frenzy hadn’t woken up with it. Relaxing with a sigh, Barricade reached over and pressed a button, unlocking the door and allowing Miles and Scoponock to enter freely without moving from his berth.

“Here to make sure that we’re up and around?” he greeted the two, raising an eyebrow ridge at the human and mech.

“Yes. Optimus sent us this time since Sam is back with Ironhide and your informant is here and quite twitchy about being here,” Miles returned, the scorpionzed mech chirping a few times.

“Tell him I’ll be there in a few moments, yes?” Barricade requested, getting a nod before the two left.

Such an odd turn his life had taken.
