Chapter 7
Chapter 7/32
Jack was pulled through the vortex. It felt like she was floating as she headed towards the floor. Finally, she hit it with a thud. Coming to her feet, she looked around and she seemed to be nowhere. An empty room with bright red walls and a black floor.
"Hello!" she called out.
The little green aliens were no where to be seen. Where the hell am I, she thought as she spun around to survey her surroundings.
"Hello!" she screamed out once again. Mr. Shine, you wanted me, now I am here so show yourself."
Making her final turn, she looked in a mirror. She jumped around seeing a reflection in it. It wasn't her own but there was no one there. Turning back to the mirror, she realized it was her she was seeing. How could it be? This was not a face she recognized. Walking slowly towards it, she checked behind her every so often. She just couldn't believe her eyes. Placing one hand on the mirror and one on her face, she realized that this was a true reflection.
"This is really me," she mumbled.
"Yes, it is you," she heard the deep rumble of a voice behind here.
"Who's there?" she asked.
"It's me, Mr. Shine," the voice said.
Suddenly a man appeared from the shadows. He was completely silver from head to toe. His eyes shinned like white washed lights.
"Welcome to The Shinning," he said then reached his hand out to Jack.
She gasped and moved way.
"Are you afraid of me my sweet? You need not be. I am only here to help,” he said.
"To help what, and why do I look like this?" she asked.
"You have been on a great journey," the man replied. On this journey you will change your projected living plan. I am only here to help it run smoother. Look at you," the man pointed to the mirror that suddenly split in two. "There you are. Once a curious child with only the need to explore and learn. "Now…the mirror became full again. "…you are a beautiful young woman ready to go out and fulfill her new destiny," he said.
"New destiny? What do you mean?" Jack asked confused.
"I can’t tell you. You have to wait and see," he said.
In a matter of seconds, Jack woke up in what seemed to be her bed.
"Whew, what a dream," she said.
She ran into the bathroom. After using it, she stepped in front of the sink to wash her hands. She took a glimpse of herself in the mirror then she dropped the soap on the floor. There in the mirror, she looked just as she did in the dream. Her baldhead had become long flowing blonde hair and she was a woman.

Back At The Hotel
Riddick couldn’t believe it was…Jack!
She was barely in her teens when he left her in New Mecca. That was just yesterday, he thought. Now, she was all grown up with gorgeous long hair. She looked to be in her early twenties.
How could this be? he thought.
Everyone slowly moved towards Riddick. He didn’t realize that he had said her name aloud.
"Jack, who is that?" Angel asked.
"She’s my….uh she’s someone I knew," Riddick confessed.
"Was she an old flame?" Gunn asked.
Riddick growled as he looked at Gunn furiously. From that, Gunn knew that he went somewhere that he shouldn’t have. Gunn apologized to Riddick and he hesitantly accepted it.
"Okay, so you knew this Jack. Where and when was the last time that you have seen her? Do you recognize this place at all?" Cordy breathlessly asked him.
He made up some lie about them losing contact in Bora Bora five years ago. As she hurled out more questions, everyone else ran all willy nilly through the library searching for books. They needed to find out what this place was and where they can find it.
"Damn, I wish that Wesley was here. He’s a pro when it comes to finding out about unknown dimensions, Fred said.
"Did someone just say my name?" Wes asked as he entered the hotel.
Kelly, his girlfriend, was by his side.
In unison, everyone greeted the loving couple.
They met during a ghostination. They were both hunting the same demon. At first, they fought over who would ghost it but decided to go at it together. After a few more encounters like that, they hooked up.
Kelly was a nurse by day and a demon hunter by night. Her friends called her "Italian Bella". Her enemies, well let’s just say that they’d be lucky if she didn’t call them at all.
Angel filled them in on the situation at hand. Kelly happily informed them that she gutted the last of the "hooded" demons last night. Now, they didn’t have to worry about that anymore.
Wes immediately knew where to start looking for info. He grabbed a huge book off a spider-webbed shelf. He flipped and flipped pages until he found what he was looking for. It took him hours to search the book.
"Uh huh…this is it! Hey Guys, I Found It!" Wes announced.
Everyone rushed him and asked countless questions…mainly Riddick. Wes stood up and cleared his throat. He told them to calm down so he could explain what he found out. He had everyone’s attention by then.
"This is a mystical dimension called, "The Shinning."
"Like that kick ass movie?" Gunn asked.
Wes smirked and nodded his head. “Our only way to get there is through a vortex.”
"Ooh another vortex…how fun," Angel sarcastically said.
"A vortex, what’s that?" Riddick asked.
Fred gave him the 411 on what a vortex was. He nodded his head as a sign that he understood her explanation.
"Here, it says that we have to draw a circle on the floor. Then write the words "The Shinning" backwards inside it and form a circle around it. Then we have to recite these sacred words that will open the vortex. Finally, we will all jump in," Wes said.

DeepToothDev and her crew had gathered for a meeting. You could hear loud music all around the place. In one old shack, you could hear "Get Busy," by Sean Paul. In another, you could hear "The Jump Off," by Lil Kim. Boy, these Vamps really knew how to party.
"My Faithful followers…it’s time. It took us years to finally put this plan into action so let’s do this. Angel Must Die Tonight," she angrily yelled.
In unison, everyone chanted words and left out of the worn out buildings.
"Get ready Angel cuz DeepToothDev is a coming for your fine ass," she said.
