Chapter 8 : Skillz

MONDAY MORNING

Lisa pulls up infront of DT Garage in her CRX and Eva is right behind her on her motorcycle.
The guys are already there and are working on three cars, nothing major just basic jobs.
They knew that as soon as word got out that Dominic Torreto was back business was gonna start coming in again.
Lisa gets out and walks inside, Eva follows in.
Mia is in the office with Dom and comes out when she sees the girls.

"Mia did you tell him about me?" Evas asks reffering to the store making sure Mia was the only one that heard.

"Yeah I did. He took it pretty well, besides he didn't have a choice" Mia puts her arm around her and they made their way to the office where Lisa was already waiting.

"I need you guys to fill out these papers for tax purposes and then Lisa you can ask Vince what needs to be done and Eva...." he pauses and looks at her and cocks his head "I'm not gonna have to worry about you am I?" he says with a fatherly tone "I'll behave DAD!" she says sarcastically
"Good, you can go with Mia and she'll tell you what to do"

Dom turns and leaves the office, he was trying his best to ignore Evas presence. He was really attracted to her and was determined not to let it show.

"Is your brother always this rude" Eva asks with a disgusted face.

"Only when he likes someone" Mia looks at Eva with a ' your in trouble' face and Eva returns the gesture.

They leave for the store and for the rest of the week it's pretty much the same thing until Friday.

FRIDAY ~*~*~*~*~*~*

Mia and Eva are at the store and around noon the phone rings. Mia already knew who it was.

"Hello , hey, yeah what do you guys want?" Mia writes down a order on a piece of paper then says, " OK, It'll be there in a little bit, bye" Eva looks at her and says "I didn't know we delivered"

"We don't but you do, at least for today, that was Dom he had a lunch order for everyone at the garage and your delivering it for me, it gets to busy around here for me to leave you alone in the store"

'Great now I have to see him' Eva thought dimissing it quickly. Throughout the week she would head straight home and avoid seeing him but she couldn't avoid it today.

"OK, here I'll help you prepare them" as soon as they were done Eva jumped in her Civic and headed for DT. She pulled up infront and got out with bags in her hands walking up the garage
'OK here we go .Relax Eva, he's only human" Eva thinks to her self making eye contact with everyone else but Dom. The truth was Dom intimidated her and she hated the feeling.

"Food!" Jesse yelled as he ran up to Eva grabbing the bags from her hand.

"Hey girl how's it going?" Eva asks Lisa "Good, look Dom gave me my own DT jumper" She says like a little girl

"Moving on up, you go girl" Eva says punching her lightly on her shoulder.

"She deserves it she's a hell of a mechanic" Dom says catching Evas' eyes

"Eva got skillz under a hood too you know" Lisa says and Eva gives her a 'what you do that for look' Lisa turns before Eva can get on her.

"Really! Now that's interesting" Dom says

"How so?" Eva asks

"You don't look like the type that's all" looking at her up & down

"What type do I look like" she says raising and eyebrow.

"The truth?" he asks and she nods

"If you broke a nail you'd have a heart attack, let alone get grease on your fingers" Eva stood there looking at him with her mouth hanging open.

"You have no idea what my type is Mr. Torreto and who are you to judge me?" she snaps

Dom turns around and with a angry tone says "You wanted the truth I gave it to you" and walks back to the office

"No you gave me your opinion which is nothing like the real me" saying to herself.

She pauses looks inside the garage and walks up to Leon who is looking at a car with a puzzled face. She has an idea!

"Hey Leon what's wrong with this ride?" Eva asks looking at the car.

"Beats me I've been trying to figure it out for an hour now" Leon says scratching his head.

"Mind if I take a look?"

"Sure go head knock your self out"
tur turns the ignition but nothing . She goes around the car and starts fiddling inside the hood grabs a few tools and begins to work.

From the office Dom looks in the garage and smiles as he sees her attempt to show him up. 'Stubborn little *@*@" he thinks but continues to look, she definetly has his attention.

About 10-15 minutes later she tells Leon to turn the ignition and the car turns on much to everyones surprise.

"Not bad girl, not bad" Leon says patting her on the back

"Thats my girl! See I told you she had skillz" Lisa says with a proud voice and face.

Eva cleans her hands on a rag that Vince gives her and sees Dom looking at her with a crooked smile while eating one of the sandwiches she had just brought..


She turns to everyone and says "Gotta go" throwing the rag at Vince as she turns to look at Dom again and says towards his direction , "See ya!"

Everyone looks at Dom and Vince walks up to him and says "Underestimated that one didn't you?"

"I guess theres more to her than meets the eye" Dom was intrigued. " And she can definetly make a hell of a tuna sandwich" they both start laughing.

Eva gets in her car and peels off she was pleased with her self and adrenaline was rushing all over her body.

That night Mia invited the girls to dinner and they agreed. Mia was a hell of a cook and they always helped her out.
Mia was cookihickhicken parmesean with pasta and salad.

The girls arrived around 8pm

"Hey girls come on in Mia is in the kitchen, make ya selves at home" Leon said opening toor oor for them.

Mini immediately started looking for Vince and when she found him she started a conversation. Vince of course didn't mind, he actually liked talking to her she was interesting and he loved to hear her laugh.
Lisa and Jesse sat down to play some Playstation and were arguing about what game they both were good at.
Eva went in the kitchen to help Mia out.

"Hey girl need help with anything"

"Yeah, can you do the salad for me?" Mia says pointing to the stuff on top of the table.

"I heard about your little show at the shop today" Mia says teasing Eva

"Oh yeah, well your brother has a way with pushing buttons" Eva says a little embarassed.

"I didn't know you were a mechanic" Mia asks wondering what else she didn't know about Eva.

"I'm not. It's just that my brother tought me a thing or two before he got locked up" Eva says never taking her eyes off the salad.

Dom walks in the kitchen thru the back door.

"Oh Dom good can you and Eva start taking this stuff to the dinning room and setting up"

"Sure Mia" Dom says looking at Eva as he takes the plates and bowl of salad she just made into the living room. Eva grabs the ingredients and walks behind Dom.

"I brung some red wine and Coronas I didn't know if you guys had anything to drink" she says to Dom

"Thanks, I'll put those in the fridge" Dom said grabbing the bag and making his way to the kitchen.

"Wait!" Eva says as she grabs his arm. 'God he has strong arms' she thinks. Shaking the thought.

"What happened?" Dom asks turning around causing her to bump into him.

She hadn't noticed before but he was dressed really nice, with khakis a black shirt and black durnagos and being that close to him she can smell his cologne.

They both stare into each others eyes and Eva slowly reaches around him and grabs the bottle of wine out of the bag making skin contact which Dom welcomes. After she has the bottle in her hand she says in a soft voice,
"The wine, it's not supposed to be chilled"
Dom looks at her and licks his lips, she turns from him to put the bottle on the table as he looks at her from behind
She had on a pink Baby Phat skirt jump suit and sneakers on. The material clung to her ass so nicely and the color made her skin glow. He felt himself getting hot at the thought, so he turned and left for the kitchen.
'It's gonna be a long night" he thinks to himself.
