ON WITH THE STORY....R/R

Hephaistion stormed down the hall, he didn’t want to be near Alexander, he just wanted to be the farthest away possible from anyone. However, at the end of the hall he bumped into Bagoas, who had a cheeky grin on his face.

“My lord,” he said with a slight nod to his head.

Hephaistion had enough of this whore’s mind games and struck him across the face. The sound seemed to echo through the whole palace as Bagoas fell to the floor, hands covering his swollen eye. Then Hephaistion grabbed Bagoas by his hair and forced him to stand, and then he smashed the whore’s beautiful face into the wall several times, causing his nose to break and bleed. After this ordeal was all over he threw Bagoas onto the floor and spat on him.

“Go see Alexander now whore,” he said before repeatingly kicking Bagoas in the stomach before stepping over him.

However, Hephaistion stopped dead in his tracks when he heard Bagoas laughing.

Bagoas began talking slowly, trying to catch his breathe, “You are not in his favor anymore Hephaistion,” he said before coughing out some blood, “He has lied to you through this whole ordeal.”

Hephaistion’s eyes narrowed, “What do you mean?”

Bagoas didn’t answer he only laughed some more, which made Hephaistion enraged enough to leave the palace altogether.

Alexander ran his hand through his hair and sighed in frustration, “No luck,” he questioned Antigonus and Crateros whom both replied with a sway of there heads.

“And you didn’t find Cleitus either, correct?”

“No Alexander,” they both said in union.

“They still have to be somewhere in this city, I have had the ports closely watched the night he disappeared. Are you sure you checked everywhere.”

“Yes, we have.”

“Check AGAIN, and have more troops patrol the area.”

“Sir, it has been two weeks, we’ve searched over and over again. I think they left the city.”

“No, Hephaistion promised me that he would stay with me no matter what. I know he’s still here. I know he will stay true to his word. Have everyone check again,” he said before leaving the room.

Alexander entered his room where Bagoas was laying on Hephaistion’s side of the bed naked.

“What are you doing,” he questioned Bagoas with an icy tone.

Bagoas rose from the bed and started to walk seductively towards his king placing his arms around him.

Alexander shrugged Bagoas off, “I am not in the mood.”

Bagoas sighed in frustration, “Hephaistion doesn’t deserve your love. If he loved you he wouldn’t of left. He doesn’t deserve to carry your child.”

A loud thump echoed in the room, Bagoas was thrown to the other side of the room from Alexander’s blow. Bagoas eyes widened in shock.

“Get out,” Alexander said in a fiery voice.

Bagoas began crawling towards Alexander begging him for forgiveness.

Alexander pointed to his door, “Get out and do not come back unless I say so.”

Alexander threw Bagoas’ clothes at him, “Don’t you ever speak of Hephaistion in the matter again, get out.”

Once Bagoas left the room, Alexander threw himself on the bed and began crying.
“Oh gods, what have I done,” he yelled in frustration.
************************************************
Alexander spent days in his room crestfallen. He didn’t come out to eat or speak to anyone in particular. Hephaistion wasn’t found yet, and it drove him mad. Olympias had enough of Alexander’s sulking and decided to go speak to him personally.

“Alexander.”

No reply.

“Alexander, its your mother.”

“I wish to speak with no one.”

Olympias ignored his son’s request and went into the room.

“Alexander, get up.”

“No.”

“Alexander, you haven’t eaten in days. Get up. You are a King, Alexander, remember that.”

“I have no will to be one.”

Olympias sat down next to his son, “You brought this on yourself,” she replied calmly.

“I know.”

“So you are just going to mope around until he finally deciedes to show up,” she questioned.

No reply.

“Alexander, get up. What will Hephaistion come back to if you don’t eat? Your corpse?”

“It has almost been a month mother,” he said weakly.

Olympias placed her soothing hand over his back, “He will come back Alexander, he doesn’t know how to birth the child.”
