Chapter Eight: Denying the Sense of the Cold

Totec stared out upon the demon world,Makai with a look of disdain.He however was interested in the fact that Makai had it's seasons. Like Earth. True he had seen snow before. And felt none of it's coolness.( or so he says) That is why he reamined in only his leather robes. He sat atop his black horse as Tori and the other two, Jedah and Marionette rode up beside him, Easter in the pack on Jedah's back." A massive change from Hell." Jedah mused.

Totec glanced at him, then looked at Tori with disgust.

" He is not fond of change as much as some." Tori said. Jedah smiled and lowered his black hood,Marionette lowered her white velvet hood on her hooded cloak.

" You will come to learn that Makai, though quite different then your world. Still has it's own Hell." Marionette said. Totec glanced at her.And his eyes remained on her for quite sometime, before Jedah began to decend the hill. Towards one of many Makain forests. Tori glanced back over her shoulder. Where Nesmie giggled, wearing a fur coat with a little fur hood on it. Same with Krolus, on his father's back.

Lilith And Q-bee of course rode towards the back. Sabbath, Angelique, Verano, and Sahtalus not too far beside them.

" Mother and Sabbath seem to get along well." Tori stated with satisfaction to Totec.

" Puppy love, Tori. The most disgusting....."

Tori abruptly cut him off by glaring at him." Love is love, Xipe."

Totec did not feel like fighting with Tori, so he kept his mouth shut and nodded.Tori glanced at him and rode closer to her husband." You and Doma seem to get along." She started.

" He is a much different demon then I am." He said in defence. Then shuddered slightly. Tori noticed this and smiled.

" Cold?"

" No. This world in general, makes me shiver. Makai never intrigued me. I perfer the darkness of the Labyrinth."

" Yeah, I heard this place has sunlight, flowers. Green feilds as far as the eye can see." Tori said, again Totec shuddered, this time out of chills in his body.

" You know darling, I brought you a coat." She said, gesturing to a pack on the side of the saddle." I found it in the closet. in the very back of course."

" No,I can not feel heat nor cool."He denied.

Tori sighed " If you say so. Don't let your nuts fall off." She said and tapped her ankles lightly on the horse and rode a further up. Totec had a confused look, then glanced around to make sure no one was looking. He gently felt around."One. Two." He whispered. The sighed with relief.

After what seemed like couple of hours. Jedah pulled Damnation to a halt."We should stop for a while,let the horses rest." He suggested.

Marionette nodded, as everyone pulled their horses to a stop. And dismounted.Tori and Totec slid the back packs off and held the babies.then Tori opened up the saddle bag and handed Totec a long black coat." Put it on. You can lie to yourself, but you fail to lie to me."

Totec glared at her and yanked the coat from Tori, then handed Krolus to Angelique." Things you do for love" Marionette could not help but state." See you may not beable to feel mortal winter, but Makain snow, is magic snow."

" Yeah so is coke," Verano said outloud as he started to try and make a fire. He had brought laughs from several others, including Jedah, Sathalus, and even a chuckle from Sabbath. But had a different effect on Lilith.

" COCAINE!!!!!!!" She dove right into the snow.She attempted to sniff it. All eyes locked on her.

" Like I said, nut job." Totec stated to Tori after putting on his long black trench coat. Tori looked at her husband then made her way for the Nesmie's bag.

" Come here, dig through Krolus's bagm find his bottle." Tori called over to Totec. He nodded and did as asked.

Marionette smiled as she stood beside Jedah, breast feeding her baby. Totec stole a quick glance at her with interest before giving Krolus his bottle. Tori noticed this and did not think much of it. But then she saw that Jedah stared at her, she felt as if he had been watching her every move. Tori looked away and stared at her mother's movements towards Sabbath.

Verano at the same time turned around, bent over, and took out his lighter." Oh charming." Marionette said walking around to the other side of Jedah's horse.

" hey, Sabbath," Verano started." Ever see a fart explode?"

" Oh god." Sabbath said with disgust. As Totec had that look of disgust about him.

" Verano, I would strongly advise you not to." Jedah said with care. But of course being the moron that he is. Verano laughed as he farted and lit the match. There was a small explosion, that not only sent his flying forward, but also started a fire.This had brought laughter from the others. Totec rolled his eyes and looked down at Krolus. He made his baby noises and looked back up at his daddy. He approached Tori," How can such a mighty being, recruit such insolent creatures?" He asked her. Putting one arm around her.

Tori shrugged and held Nesmie over her shoulder. She sighed, then glanced over into the clearing. Movement. Her eyes widened. Then looked up, the son had begun to set. " Lord Doma." She called to Jedah. The blue demon glanced up from rocking Easter." What comes out at night here?" She asked.

Jedah lifted an eyebrow." Nocturnal creatures, nothing more." He answered.

Tori nodded, looking back, she saw a pair of glowing white eyes.
