Chapter 7

Nadia laid in bed counting the seconds until Riddick returned. She wondered if she had been too harsh. She loved Riddick and she knew deep down inside that he would never betray her. They'd been through too much and if there was anyone she could trust to tell her the truth it would be him.

After a few minutes, she got out of bed and went out on to the balcony. She could see clear across the grass and into the guesthouse. Nadia was standing by the door looking out over the pool and Riddick was nowhere in sight. She figured he'd probably gone somewhere to cool down. She knew she'd upset him by being stubborn. But something inside her told her that this woman was up to no good.

It softly began to rain and Jada retreated into the guesthouse.

Nadia stepped back under the awing and sat down in one of the chairs. She laid her head back and closed her eyes. A cool breeze rustled her hair a little as the rain began to pick up, she breathed easy as the sound of the rain began to lull her to sleep.

That's when she smelled him.

Riddick moved around so quietly that you could never hear him coming.
He stood in the door watching Nadia. He didn't know what to say. He knew at that moment she was very unhappy with him and what he'd asked her to do.

"I know you’re there," Nadia said. "I know you’re there because I can smell you."

Riddick moved from the doorway and walked out in front of her. She noticed he'd changed for bed.

"I don't know what to say to you," he said. "I asked you to do something that I wouldn't have done myself."

His eyes were shinning as she opened her eyes and replied, "It's okay."

She stood up and wrapped her arms around him.

"I am sorry for being so harsh."

Nadia kissed Riddick’s lips then his neck. Riddick closed his eyes as his temperature was rising despite the cold drops of rain that were falling on his back. He felt his heart rate increase as Nadia slowly made her way further south, until she finally took him into her mouth. He moaned softly as she took him deeper and deeper. After a few minutes he couldn't take it any longer for he had to be inside her. He moved back and pulled her up. Picking her up, he carried her over to the outside railing of the balcony and sat her upon it. He freed himself from his shorts and entered her slowly. Nadia gasped as he started to move in and out of her. She struggled to keep her balance; her legs wrapped snuggly around his waist.

Riddick pushed back the sides of her robe, exposing her breasts and began to suckle her nipples. The rain steadily poured down around them as they became lost in each other’s essence.

Jada stood frozen from what she was viewing. She was shocked and maybe even a little jealous at what she saw happening on the balcony across the yard. What she hoped was an argument that she was viewing turned into a love scene. One so perfect it could have been in a movie. The Riddick she knew only liked to fuck in the dark, wanted to tie you up and spank you. He was a very rough lover but this man she was watching on the balcony, wasn't him.

***
Riddick was gentle as he caressed his wife's body like it was his greatest treasure. The pace of his strokes were slow and lingering.

Jada started to feel a little heartache as she looked on. She began to wonder why she was never worthy of his tender touch.

Jada found herself suddenly a little sad. She had wasted so much time pursing Riddick. She lowered herself to nearly nothing trying to gain his love because she thought he was running away from what he truly felt. She thought he was just afraid to love again because all that he'd loved had been taken away from him. When the truth was he was fully capable and never afraid...he just didn't love her.

A few tears fell from her eyes as she began to think about Jenna. Thoughts about what she could have possibly missed out on and the love she could have received from her father...if she had just allowed him to go and didn't compromise herself with so many other men. Jada made a promise to herself that once this was all over she would do the proper thing...have Jenna tested to find out who her real father was.

She watched Riddick remove Nadia from the railing and laid her back on one of the lounge chairs. She figured now would be the best time to make her call to the mercs and give them an update. Riddick and Nadia were so engulfed in each other that there would be no way she could get caught. She ducked off to the side of the house…finding a place where she could still see them but knew they couldn't see her and made the call.
