Chapter 8.



Jack laid his feelings aside for today. He did not want to think about her, at all. They way she had treated him so far was not acceptable. So if she happened to try that again, he’d made sure she would never speak to him like that ever again.



Jack cleared his mind and walked over to Gibbs who was engaged in a conversation with young William. He cut in and told them to follow him downstairs, they had some important stuff to discuss and when he said important, he did certainly not mean Miss Swann because she was far from important to him anymore. That wench could do whatever she pleases, he does not longer care.



“Please take a seat gentlemen.” Jack told them calmly.



Gibbs and Will took a seat next to the table. And cleared all ears to listen to what dear captain had in mind.



“So..” Jack started.



Gibbs and Will stared at him in wonder. “So what Cap‘n?” Gibbs asked.



“We are approaching Tortuga in a few days but after that we’re headed towards Port Royal because I believe we have some unwanted luggage on board we need to, or more likely feel obligated to escort there.” Will glared at him but Jack ignored that and continued. “So just so we are clear here, that unwanted, meaning you William and your beloved murderess, said luggage will obey and be out of my sight after that. Savvy?”



Will merely nodded.



“So now William if you will excuse Gibbs and me..”



Will again nodded and left the room.



Gibbs sighed. “So I take it you have gone tire of the Miss?” He asked.



Jack let out a sarcastic laugh and rolled his eyes.



“Can we please not talk about said person because I’m not sure I’m in mood for that at the moment or any moments in the future.” Jack uttered, irritated.



“Aye, Cap’n as you wish.” Gibbs agreed. “Anything else you had in mind?”



“Oh, yes. I want you to take the helm until sundown, so I can have the night watch.”



Gibbs nodded towards his captain. “That’ll be all Cap’n?”



“That’ll be all Mr. Gibbs.” Jack repeated eying towards the cabin door.



Gibbs nodded and left.



Jack leaned back in his chair and sighed. Since Gibbs was taking over the wheel for now, he was left with a lot of free time. He decided he might want to start planning where their next voyage should begin. Pulling out his compass, he placed it on the table in front of himself. “Now there’ll be one problem.” He uttered under his breathe. The compass didn’t stop spinning for him, no matter how much he tried to push the thoughts of her away, it still kept spinning.



Jack put the compass aside and pulled up some maps. Last he remember, they were in Singapore. Maybe that’s where they should head. He could need a little attention from the strumpets there. Jack smiled to himself at the thought. Last time he was there, he was being treated like a king, all the women, all the food, all the service. Now that’s what a man wants, not an annoying disrespectful girl who cannot stop loving her eunuch fiancé.

Elizabeth strode around the deck, in search for Jack but sadly could not find him anywhere. She sighed and walked over to Will who was busy fixing the ropes.



“Have you seen Jack today?” She asked innocently.



Will stopped what he was doing and stood up beside her against the ceiling. “Just had a talk with him a few moments ago. He’s planning to set you and me off in Port Royal, which we will reach in a week or so I believe.”



Elizabeth froze. “He is?” She nervously uttered.



Will nodded, taking her hands in his. “And then we can finally get married.”



Elizabeth forced out a smile.



Will gave her a hug and went back work. Elizabeth left the deck and went downstairs, to captain’s quarters.
