Chapter 9

The next morning, Lit’l Bit woke up to the bright sun that streamed in through the window. She yawned and stretched her arms over her head, looking to the side to see Jack still fast asleep. She closed her eyes again and rolled onto her side, hoping to catch a few more minutes of sleep.
"Ahem."
Lit’l Bit’s eyes flew open and she saw Briar standing by the bed with a smirk on her face. "Did you have fun with Cowboy last night?" she asked innocently.
Lit’l Bit sat up holding the covers to her chest and threw a pillow at Briar who ran out of the room. "Out! Out! Out!" she yelled but she couldn’t help smiling at her friend’s antics.
Briar popped her head back into the sickroom. "Wake up Prince Charming over there before Kloppman comes up."
When she got back to the Lodging House, Briar found David waiting for her in the lobby. "Hey, you! Came to visit?" she smiled up at him.
"Yeah, actually. How’s it going?" he asked.
"Not bad, You want to go out for a while?" said Briar.
"Sure thing."
"Great, just let me get washed up." She went up to the bunkroom and swung open the door finding Lit’l Bit and Spot on one of the bunks. Both (thankfully) clothed but with Spot feeling up every inch of her body.
"I should get you two a Do Not Disturb sign," said Briar. She went into the bathroom and washed up, then went back down to meet David, running into Jack on the stairs.
"Jack!" she cried out loud. "What... what’re you doing?" she stuttered, blocking his way to the bunkroom.
"I’m trying to get past you, now out of my way," he tried to get by her but she wouldn’t let him.
"Oh JACK!" she shouted, hoping Lit’l Bit and Spot could hear her through their making out. "You’re so funny!" she gushed. Jack shot her a look and tried to push her away.
Just then David came up the stairs and saw them. "Briar, are you coming?" he asked.
Briar was distracted for less than a second was, and that was all Jack needed to get past her. "Jack don’t go in the..." She called after him but it was too late.
"What the fuck!"
Briar clenched her eyes shut and walked in to see how bad the damage was. At least they’re still in their clothes, she thought as Lit’l Bit and Spot jumped up off the bed.
"Jack, we..."
"Lit’l Bit how could you?"
"I can explain..."
"You and him!"
"Jacky-boy, listen...
"Shut up!" snapped Jack. "You’re nothing but a two timing, back stabbing, rotten little son of a bitch!"
"Hey!" cried Lit’l Bit, coming to Spot’s defense.
"You’re standing up for him?" cried Jack.
"Damn right!"
"How could you cheat on me? I thought you were my girl!"
"Your girl, Wait, I’m not your girl! I can do whatever the hell I want!" shouted Lit’l Bit.
"What’s with all the yelling?" Racetrack showed up and frowned at the strange scene: Jack and Lit’l Bit standing eye to eye, both looking ready to kill each other and Spot fidgeting nervously by the bunk.
"And that includes cheating on me?" yelled Jack.
"She cheated on him?" Race asked Briar.
"I don’t belong to you! And we aren’t exactly engaged or anything so yeah, that includes sleeping with Spot." Lit’l Bit crossed her arms over her chest.
"Sleeping with him!" Jack practically screamed.
"It’s not like you’re such an angel! What about that night in the basement with Briar?"
"Uh, excuse me," said Briar from near the door. "Leave me out of this."
"That was only once! How many times did you jump into bed with Spot?"
Lit’l Bit remained silent.
"How many times?" Jack repeated louder.
"Every chance I got," she sneered.
"You know what? You’re nothing but a whore!"
"Don’t call her that!" snapped both Race and Briar.
"What did you call me?" asked Lit’l Bit, her eyes narrowing dangerously.
"You heard me," said Jack.
"Fine, Fuck you, Jack! I wish I’d never met you!" she yelled and bolted out of the bunkroom.
Racetrack went after her while Briar turned to Jack.
"First Blink turns into a jackass now you, oh I forgot... you were always a jackass!" she screamed and punched him in the nose before storming out of the bunkroom and dragging David outside.
Racetrack knocked on the trap door that led to the roof. "Lit’l Bit, please open," he pleaded.
Lit’l Bit opened it reluctantly and looked down at him. "I don’t want to see anybody." She whispered.
"Just come and talk to me."
"Did you hear what he said about me?"
"Come down, please?" he sat down on the stairs beneath the trap door and motioned for her to sit next to him.
Lit’l Bit hesitated then climbed down. "What’s there to talk about? It’s over." She took off her glasses and wiped her eyes.
"Hey you’re not crying are you?" he leaned over and hugged her. "I can’t believe Jack would say those things."
"I hate him! I hate him! God do I hate him!" sobbed Lit’l Bit.
"Just wait till I go back down. I’ll beat the crap out of him," he threatened.
She laughed quietly and hugged him. Racetrack put his hand under her chin and made her look up at him. "He doesn’t deserve you," he whispered softly kissing the tears off her cheek.
"Thanks Race." She leaned in to kiss him on the cheek but he moved his face so the kiss landed on his mouth. He kissed her slowly, bringing his hand up to her neck and caressing it gently as he covered her lips with his own.
He pulled away and looked deep into her eyes, sending tingles down her spine. "I’ve always wanted to do that," he admitted in a low voice.
Lit’l Bit wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer for another kiss. They kissed, slowly at first then the passion grew. Race parted his lips and snaked his tongue over hers, resting his hands on her hips. Suddenly, he stopped and pulled away.
"You just broke up with Jack. I shouldn’t be taking advantage of you," he said quietly.
Lit’l Bit pressed her finger on his lips and kissed him again, taking his hand and leading it around her waist. The other hand he brought up under her shirt, caressing her breast. She sighed and took his hand in hers making him stand up. She opened the trap door and brought him out onto the roof where he pulled her close and captured her lips in his.
His hands made their way to her shirt and he got through the buttons quickly. As she worked on getting him out of his shirt and vest, he moved his mouth down her neck and shoulders, kissing gently and leaving a hot trail with his lips. She got his pants off and stroked his already hard cock. He moaned softly when she ran her fingers down the side then brought her hand up to rest on his hip as he unzipped her pants and helped her step out of them.
Lit’l Bit lay down on the cold surface and Racetrack followed, getting in between her legs. He guided his cock into her and began thrusting, sending slow waves of pleasure through both of them with each thrust he made. She moaned and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer so she could whisper in his ear, "Faster Race." He nodded and forced his whole length into her, getting a loud cry out of her.
"Yes, Race! Yes!" She moaned as he hit her pleasure spot, driving himself in and out of her with skill she never knew he had. He bent down and took her mouth in his, kissing frantically as his body rocked against hers. She wrapped her legs around his back and bucked her hips up against him, entwining her tongue with his through the kiss. She slid her hands down his back and pushed his hips down hard, causing him to moan into her mouth. Both of them were panting as Racetrack moved even faster, his cock thrusting harder into her, hitting her just where she wanted. He tossed his head back and cried out as her muscles tightened around him, spilling all his cum into her. He slowed down and pressed his head into her chest.
She sighed as he pulled out and rested next to her, propping himself up on his elbow to look down at her. "Lit’l Bit, that was... amazing," he admitted, his face flushed.
"Yeah," she agreed, resting on his arm.
"So, now what?" Briar asked David after they’d walked in silence for a few minutes.
"Well, it’s not dark yet so we don’t have to head back to the Lodging House anytime soon," said David. He reached down and took her hand in his, squeezing it tightly.
"Why don’t we..." she broke off as David took her face in his hands and brought her mouth to his.
"I was...thinking...maybe we could go...to…" she gave up trying to talk as David kissed her and brought her arms up around his neck. At first, she wanted nothing more than to drown in the moment and never come up, then a voice started in the back of her head.
He’s a guy. He’s just in this for a good lay. He doesn’t care about you; it’s all an act.
Briar pulled away and frowned at him.
Don’t let him fool you.
"What’s wrong?" asked David.
"I’ve got to go," she said simply and turned around. David called after her but she just kept on walking
She got the Lodging House choking back tears, tears she couldn’t hold back any longer when she saw Jack and Blink in the lobby. She tore up the stairs into the bunkroom, sobbing into her hands.
Damn Jack! Damn Blink! And damn David!
Racetrack led a half-asleep Lit’l Bit downstairs and into the bunkroom where he helped her get in bed, careful not to wake Briar up. He closed the door behind him and went to the lobby where he saw Jack playing a game of cards. He came up behind him and pushed him out of his chair.
"Race! What’s wrong with you?" cried Jack as he got to his feet.
"I can’t believe what you said to her!" yelled Race.
"Who? Lit’l Bit?" asked Jack.
"Who? Lit’l Bit?" repeated Racetrack. "Is that all she is to you? I was right, you don’t deserve her!"
"Look, it’s none of your business!"
"What’s none of his business? What’s going on?" Mush came up behind Race and looked from him to Jack.
"Oh, for Pete’s sake! Why is everybody butting in where they’re not wanted?" growled Jack.
"He called Lit’l Bit a whore," Racetrack informed Mush.
"After I caught her with Spot!" Jack tried to defend himself.
"Where do you get off calling her that?" demanded Mush pushing past Race and standing right in front of Jack.
"If you like your nose the way it is Mush, you’ll keep it out of my business," hissed Jack.
"Is that a threat?" asked Mush shoving Jack in the chest. "Huh Jack?" he shoved him again but Jack grabbed his wrists and glared at him. Mush yanked his hands away and glared right back.
Suddenly, he lunged at Jack and grabbed him by the collar, banging his head against the wall.
"Hurt that girl again and you’ll be in real pain," Mush sneered. He let Jack drop to the floor.
Racetrack stared down at Jack’s body crouched on the floor. "That goes double for me," he said, kicking Jack in the stomach.
"Jeez!" he shouted and slumped against the wall.
