Chapter Nine: The Familiar Stare

Tori stared longer," I'm curious." She whispered to her husband as he took a seat on the log near the fire. Holding Krolus.

He glanced up at her," About what?" He asked.

Tori did now answer, only handed Nesmie to Angelique"I'll be right back." She whispered and made her way towards the glowing eyes.

" Wheres she going?" Marionette asked Totec.

" Can't say." Was all he responded with.

" Aren't you going to go with her?"Marionette asked.

"Tori can handle herself well enough."

" Well, so can I. But it it still nice to have back up."Totec looked back down at her. She smiled lightly at him.

Tori meanwhile cautiously approached. Her hand slowly bringing out her sia,( rather then her mini katana from the last one)The eyes seemed to vanish as she entered the darkness. Away from the rising moon. She looked back. Then ahead of her, just as something tackled her to her snow. Tori leapt to her feet immediately.She looked infront of her and her eyes widened. A massive creature. Almost gaint rat like. With large fangs. And huge sharp claws, long jagged teeth.

Tori then smiled, and ducked it's advances. Then she leapt up and kicked the creature back. It whipped up it's tale and wrapped it around her waist and flung her back into a tree. She hit it hard and fell to the ground again, holding her back with one hand and readied her sia. Ready for the rat to attack again.

It stared at her insteed and so Tori stared right back. She glared then ran at
it. The rat stood up on it's hind legs.as another creature ran towards them. A larger creature then the rat." Shit." Tori muttered. But the rat attacked the other, which appeared to be a huge reptilian animal.

Tori watched as both animals scratched and bite into another. Wrestling in the snow. The reptile swept it's claws across the rat. Sending it back.
Tori threw out her other sia and leapt up at the reptile. And stabbed it in the side, as she had Natla.Then this let the rat attack too. Tori flipped off the reptile's back at let the rat fight with the reptile again.

Tori smiled, but the smile fadded as she heard something that sounded like cracking. She looked down, glanced at the fighting creatures. The rat was pounced upon, Tori had one of two options. And she choose it. Her fate sealed. She shouted the spell. " Dio Cega!" Jedah heard the call. All of them did.Followed by an animal cry.

Jedah exchanged glances with Totec. And then both got to their feet and ran towards where the sounds came from. Uponing reaching the site. They saw the big rat, bleeding, badly injured by the trees. And Tori struggling to climb out of the icey
lake.She risked falling into from the thin ice she realised she had been on.

"Help!" She cried just as she had been drug under by the reptile.

Totec and Jedah waisted no time, Totec tossed off his coat and dove in after Jedah. Under the water, Tori tried her best to fight. But the reptile clawed her and yanked her further with his tale. Jedah's long crimson nails extended into Talons as Totec swam to Tori, unhooked his knife and sliced the tale from Tori's ankle. Then took to the surface while Jedah defeated the creature and followed.

Totec pulled her Tori up and wrapped his coat around her, he shovered as Jedah
did. Violently.Tori too trembled as well. But this seemed more violent then them.

" She's going into shock." Jedah announced.

Totec shook his head."No! He stood with Tori quaking in his arms. " The animal.Kill it. Get it's fur for warmth,"

" No." Tori struggled to say." He....he...lp...ed me.." She stated.Clinging to Totec.Her face burried against his pale neck. The rat stood and limped over to them.

" We have to get her to shetler." Jedah said.

" Where the fuck do we find shelter in the fucking middle of god damn no where?" Totec asked. Anger and impatience in his voice.

Jedah at first said nothing and whistled, Damnation ran to them." give her to me, there is a cabin not far. But only few know where it is. I am one of them. Totec please stay and protect my wife." He stated.

Totec glanced down at Tori. She still trembled so voilently.He gave in, Jedah mounted his horse as Totec handed Tori up to him. Then glanced at the rat, it was gone. However, noticed something small crawling up the horse and upon Tori's shoulder. Jedah had her sitting up against him in front. One arm wrapped around her, the other held the reins." Don't worry, she won't die. I promise" And with that Jedah rode off quickly into the woods.

Jedah iggnored the fact he wore only wet cold clothing. He focused solely upon his distination.Within a mile or two, he reached a small cabin. Dismounted and carried Tori to the door. He noticed the rat, which Tori helped, had shrunk and made it his own oath, to serve her, until the debt had been repayed.

" Demitri!" Jedah called. The door opened and a ragged looking young vampire stood there. With brown facal hair and everything.

" Jedah, why do you come here?" He asked curtly.

" Demitri,listen I know we've been enemies for thousands of years, but I come on behalf of the queen of the Labyrinth." Jedah started.

Demitri glanced down at the shivering woman. " Why?"

" Demitri please she is dying. She has a husband and twin children. Who need her." Jedah explained." Please." He begged." I would do the same if Morrigan was in the exact situation."

Demitri sighed thinking of his beloved."Very well. " He stepped aside from Jedah to carry her in.By a lit fire place, lay a long fur rug, where Jedah placed her down. Unwrapped her from Totec's coat.Then undressed her so she would not get hypothermia.
He started with her top, because it could be un zipped from the front. When he did, Tori's nipples were completely erect. He bit his lower lip and tried his best not to get aroused by this, it was harder for him, when he unzipped the back of her skirt from the back and gazed upon her.

" Jedah you look like you too are cold." Demitri pointed out as he dropped two grey blankets beside Jedah.

He shook his head," I must get her out of her cloths first."Jedah said.Tori let him fully undress her as the blue demon wrapped her up in the blanket." You'll be alright." Jedah whispered.

The stood. Unbottoning his long coat. Dropping it. He did the same with his pants and shoes. He wrapped himself up too. And sat down by Tori. " Let me took at your belly." He requested.

" Why?"

He was about to answer, when" Are you hungry?" Demitri asked. Jedah and Tori both shook their heads." Alright. I'm going out to hunt." he said, Transforming into a bat.

Tori looked around then down, as the rat she helped crawled onto her lap then her shoulders." Looks as if you have made a friend." He said.

Tori smiled lightly. As Jedah lifted his hand and gingerly swept back the opening of the blanket right at her belly. There was a small scratch mark." Nothing to serious." he said.

Tori nodded, then looked at the rat," I guess I should give you a name.Jenner." She said.Then looked at Jedah, his long blonde hair hung at his shoulders. She noticed he stared at her again as he had earlier. The same look, Totec gave her when he desired her. Before he gave in and reveiled to her his feelings
