Chapter 9


Myx and Rito helped Shadow into the castle while False kept Alia from following them upstairs.

“You have been told of Monks experiments have you not?”

Alia nodded still watching them with Shadow.

“Monk allowed my father Alpha to mate with the Yautja females but they could never produce an heir. Monk introduced a chemical into Alpha’s water, which over a matter of months his body began to produce. This chemical would cause the female of his choice to ovulate and produce an heir. There were side affects to the chemical. Alpha became ten times stronger, faster, more intelligent, and one hundred times more fertile.
This chemical flows through my veins. Shadow has been here for three years and I thought he was unaffected by it. It seems I was wrong, his contact with me has caused his body to react in the same way that Alpha had. He is ten times stronger, faster, and more intelligent.”


Alia looked at False. “You are his object of desire. He has been very attentive to you. He has touched you sexually. I can smell you on him.”

Alia looked up at Shadow then back at False. “What does this mean?”

“He means to mate with you.”

Alia backed into Lance. He held her up. “Careful don’t want to damage Shadow’s girl.”

False pulled her back to her feet. “Finish viewing the disk with the Oomans and then go directly to your room.”

“But he is sick he can’t hurt me.”

False smiled. “He will not be ill for long Alia. Now hurry.”

She followed the Oomans to Monk’s lab to view the disk.

“He has infected all of the settlers and has increased the dosage by one hundred percent.” Brian said shaking his head.

Joshua looked at Marla. “You did bury our food didn’t you?”

Marla nodded. “Yes I buried it outside of the camp like you said.”

Lance watched her for a while. “You sure because you never do what you are told.”

Marla glared at him. “Fuck you Lance.”

The Corporal smiled. “Not in a million years.”

“That’s enough you two we need to stay together.”

Brian turned to Alia. “Can you smell the difference?” Alia nodded.

“What’s wrong Squirt?”

“I am not so sure we were not affected.”

“What?” Cal said approaching the medic.

“I know we brought our own food and water but something is not right. He would attack us first; we are combat we know how to fight, how to organize.”

A loud screech made Alia looked toward the ceiling. “Some Oomans are here outside waiting.”

She ran down the hall with the marines following her.


The two guards that were walking around the outside smelled what they came for and entered the castle.

“What are you doing here?” Cal asked as they walked in and everyone got a look at the mucus dripping out of their pores and the three-inch canine protruding from their mouths.

“What the fuck are those?” Joshua said drawing his gun along with the other marines.

The two guards looked at Alia as she moved back. One launched itself at her the other was riddled with bullets. The creature’s canine inched toward her neck as she held its neck up and away with her forearms. Alia was surprised by the strength of the creature.
Lance and Joshua ran over and yanked it off her and Cal put a bullet in its head.


Lance helped Alia to her feet and the mucus from the creature that covered her body dripped to the floor.

“What happened to your alien friends?” Marla asked her.

Alia sensed them near by but they were guarding someone more lethal.

False came to Alia. “I am sending my clan away to the other side tonight and you will go to your room now.”
Alia turned and walked up the stairs.

“You know Jack sent them we can’t go back.” Joshua said.

False motioned his hand to the castle.
“I think he wants us to stay here.” Brian said looking at Cal.

Lance watched False quickly go upstairs. “Something’s really wrong with that big one.”

Marla frowned. “If I were you I’d worry about the other one who keeps showing us his knife.”

“I’m not worried about him.” Lance said checking his gun. “He better worry about me.”


Alia turned out her light after her bath and washing her hair.
She pulled the blankets over her and closed her eyes. The sound of the forest creatures was very relaxing and made her fall into slumber quickly.

“Alia”

Her eyes opened at the whispering of her name. She sat up and looked around the darkened room. The two moons provided pale light. Her heart rate began to increase and she felt light headed.

“Alia”

She got out of the bed and went to the door. The smell of him was very strong and powerful. It was making her dizzy.

“Alia open the door.”

“Shadow” She stood before the door panting.

Shadow ran his hands over the five-inch thick metal door in the outline of her body.
He heard her whimper. He began purring and ran his face over where her neck would be.
Alia pressed her body against the door and sighed at the ache forming deep in her womb.

“Open the door Aliaaaaa.” Shadow ran his hands down her imagined body.

His purr made her move her hand to the door panel.


She heard a scratching sound against the wall and turned to see what it was. Kayco and Eli came through her window. Eli hissed and moved her out of the way. Kayco spat acid on the panel and Shadow roared with anger and began pounding on the door. The first blow caused dust to appear inside of her room. Alia, Kayco, and Eli backed when the second blow separated the top part of the door from the frame. Kayco and Eli screeched in alarm.


Someone ran at Shadow trying to push him away. Shadow picked him up, threw him over the ten-foot balcony, and then returned to pounding on the door.

Lance looked outside his door to see the black Aliens running towards the noise then screeching as they were thrown like rag dolls.

“It’s that really big one he’s trying to get into Alia’s room.” Joshua said.

Myx and Rito came running by.

“Brian you got something to knock out an elephant.” Cal asked him.

Brian pulled out one dart. “This will take out a bull elephant.”

Lance got in front of Myx. “We can help you.”

Rito pulled something out of a pouch and jab Lance on the arm. “Oww” Lance pulled away. “You Son of b…..”

“Do not kill him or we will kill all of you”

Lance stared at them for a while. “Okay”

He faced Brian. “Give me the dart gun.”

They heard vicious roaring and saw Shadow wrestling with False who was taller and stronger. Shadow slammed him through the wall of the room beside Alia’s he went back to beating down her door. They all looked at Brian.

Brian looked into his bag. “Okay I got six.”

Alia backed as the door began to fall no matter how much acid Kayco applied. Shadow saw her and his strength increased and the door fell on Kayco and Eli pinning them underneath. Shadow roared at Alia as she backed panting with fear. She tried to run by him he grabbed her, threw her onto the bed, and roared at her again. Alia began screaming when he ripped her clothing and forced her legs open.


Lance crept around the corner waiting for Myx to climb the wall to the window.
He could see Shadow was completely naked and what he wanted to impale Alia with made him lose his breath for a second. “He’s going to kill her.” He said to Brian.

“No shit.” Joshua said from the other side of the door.

Alia fought him screaming his name to get him to stop. Shadow moved between her legs and bent her knees to her chest. Alia looked down and began screaming for her life.
Shadow rubbed his engorged greenish purple flesh across the moist flesh between her legs and began to push inside. Her screaming intensified.


“How long does it take to climb a fucking wall?” Lance angrily whispered to Brian.

Lance was preparing to go without Myx’s diversion when Alia began howling with pain as Shadow began to force himself into her wet channel.

Finally, Myx came through the window roaring at Shadow who turned his head towards him. Lance took the shot and struck Yautja in the neck. Shadow roared and pulled out of Alia and stalked towards Lance snarling with anger. Lance loaded another dart calmly and struck his neck again. Shadow kept coming. Lance began backing down the hallway loading the gun faster and shooting the third and fourth dart into the other side of Shadow’s neck. The angry Yautja started to run at him. Lance loaded the fifth dart and struck him in the heart. Shadow grabbed him around the neck and then fell to the floor at the top of the stairs. Lance fell to the floor as his legs gave out.


Brian swatted him on the back and went to see about Alia who was moaning in pain. Myx was stroking her head. Marla came inside.

Eli and Kayco finally got out from under the door and hissed at Marla.

“What’s wrong with them Brian?”

“Just get out I can do this.”

Marla slowly backed out of the room. Sal’van was at the door looking injured. Brian carefully picked Alia up and carried her to the door that Sal’van blocked.

“Get the fuck out of my way!” Brian yelled at him.

Myx growled at him, Sal’van reluctantly moved, and Brian walked by and down the steps towards Monks lab.

Alia woke to see Brian smiling down at her.

‘Are you still in pain?”

Alia nodded a yes. Brian picked up a syringe as Sal’van walked in pulling out his blade.
Brian had his back to him and he was blocking Alia’s view. Sal’van raised the knife but suddenly fell to the floor behind Brian who turned to see the creature with a dart sticking out of his neck.

Lance smiled. “Oops”

Myx came into the lab clicking his mandibles about Lia’kon wanting to talk to her. Alia began crying saying she could never lie to her father.

Lia’kon crinkled his brow as False and Rito sit down before the viewing screen.

“Where is Alia?”

“She and Shadow are at the Ooman camp resting for the long session tomorrow into the mountains to inspect a lair of the creature.”

“So it was not an Ooman?”

“It was a creature of this planet that killed the Oomans and they will find it.”

Alia was being carried up to her new room by Lance.

“She’ll sleep good tonight.” Brian said moving the hair from her face.

“That’s if Shadow doesn’t pump that sedative out of his system.”

“He’ll sleep for a while and if he does wake up Josh is in their helping to tie him down.”

Lance began smiling.

“This is some fine shit here.” Myx took the weak looking wire and inspected it.
The Ooman had wrapped it around Shadow running through four spools of it.
“It’s really sticky so he wont be going anywhere unless he can carry the bed with him.”
Myx kept the spool. Joshua frowned but didn’t argue.


Sal’van woke feeling restrained by some sort of wire that he could not break. He growled at Josh who chuckled at him from the doorway before leaving.

“So everyone is cooperating?”

“Yes as well as can be expected.”

Lia’kon nodded. “Good I will tell the others. Good night.”

False and Rito walked out of the room to see the Ooman Lance sitting outside Alia’s door.

“We are going to rotate in four hour shifts.” Cal said to Myx who nodded.


False looked up to his left at Shadow’s room. The door smoked from the acid Kayco applied. Eli and Kayco stood outside his door. Their acid would not stop him now his skin was immune. Maybe these Oomans could help them for Alia’s sake.
