He didn´t look like Harvey anymore. Not the Harvey she knew. She had never imagined she would ever see such a terrifying expression on his face. He had snapped, completely. He flung her to the ground and she fell back to the floor, a pained cry emitting from her throat as her tailbone painfully hit the floor.
Harvey stood above her, hands balled into fists as a thundering growl rumbled through his body. He stared down at her, and she shrank away from him, bracing herself for another blow. She was shook to the core with fear from the horrible sound he had made.
“How could you?” he yelled at her, holding back a sob. “You played right into his hands, Rachel. Do you even understand how difficult that was for me? Just think about it for one minute….think about what it did to me!”
“Harvey, I know there isn´t any excuse for it, but I could´t help the way my body reacted! Please believe that I didn´t mean to hurt you. He came into the room with a knife, telling me I had to do what he said. I didn´t want him to hurt you! Harvey, please…forgive me.” she cried out, tears pouring from her eyes.
No, Rachel, no! You acted like a damn whore! You enjoyed it! You got off from him fucking you, sticking his dirty fingers inside of you…you were disgusting! Don´t you dare try to make any excuses, Rachel.” he bellowed. “You liked it! Don´t you dare lie to me, damnit!”
She sobbed shamefully , holding her face in her hands as he looked down at her, his face twisted in disgust.
“I am disgusted with myself Harvey, really I am. Please know that I didn´t mean to hurt you. I meant everything I just said.” As she wept loudly beneath him.
He stepped over her, heading toward the hallway.
“I can´t talk to you anymore, Rachel. I can´t look at you, I can´t think about you, I can´t be around you anymore…ever! I have to leave before I do something I regret. Goodbye, Rachel.”
She got up from the ground, running after him.
“No! Don´t leave Harvey!”
He spun around quickly to face her, eyes full of fury.
“Don’t you dare follow me, Rachel!” he shouted. “Do you know how badly I wanted to choke you when I had you in my grasp? Do you know how miserable I felt while he was fucking you, and you were screaming beneath him, enjoying every minute he was inside of you? You have absolutely no comprehension of what´s going on inside of me right now, so do not pretend to care!” and he pushed her away. She stumbled back from the push and he headed towards the bedroom doorway.
He turned around once more before he went through the doorway and said “ I hope your little fuck with that freak was worth it, Rachel. All the screaming…all the moaning…I hope you realize the only reason he didn´t kill you was because he wanted to see how things would play out between us after.” He turned back around, heading for the hallway.
Rachel looked at Harvey, tears flowing from her eyes as she said “Harvey, please…where are you going?”
“To look for the Joker.” He snarled.
“He´s going to kill you if you go after him. Don´t Harvey, please don´t go!” she pled.
“Shut up!” he yelled. We have unfinished business. He knows i´m coming after him. It´s the way he wants it, so i´m going to give him what he wants.” And Harvey stepped through the bedroom doorway into the darkened hallway, Rachel´s sobs retreating behind him as he went out into the night to find the Joker.
