It Is You I have Loved Along

Chapter 1:

Could it be, this is where I belong?
-------------------------------

"Jack!" Gibbs yelled, calling down from the look out mast to where his captain was standing tall and proud, looking out to see. Sparrow raised his head and met his eyes with that of his first mate.
"Land ahoy!" Gibbs shouted at the top of his lungs, a sigh of relief in his voice.
Jack looked forward, a small smirk creeping on his face, squinting and indead seeing that there was infact land infront of them. "Tortuga..." he said quietly to himself, turning the wheel.

The ship docked safely into Tortuga, the crew rushing about, gathering their things whilst being yelled at by Gibbs to finish securing the ship.
Jack lept off the ship and smiled. "I LOVE this place" he laughed, waving his arms around in the air.
"Hmph," a voice said, pushing past Jack making him wobble slightly.
"Anamaria!" Jack yelled, looking like he was trying to offer her a hug, "Home is where the heart is?"
Anamaria threw down her bags and walked straight up to her Captain. She pointed....saying nothing. A Cross look on her face like she had done before when Jack promised her a ship.
"What?" Sparrow said, backing up slightly.
"I left here so I could come with you and get my ship back. I return....with no ship...and back under the command of you!" she swung for him. By now, Jack had caught onto Anamaria and her blows and when to expect them. He just managed to duck out the way.
Anamaria returned to her bags, slung them over her shoulders before heading into the town. She turned to cut Jack one last evil look.
"Told you bringing women aboard were bad luck.." a voice said over Jack's shoulder.
"Only bad luck fir me" Jack muttered, taking his things off Gibbs.

The town was quiet. It was morning and everyone was lying unconcious, drunk, or sparked out from the night before.
Jack and Gibbs stepped over lifeless and snoring bodies, making their way to the Tavern.
The rest of the crew took the opportunity to visit their famalies...although there was not much point...considering they to were sparked out from the night befores fighting and drunkeness.
The only noise that could be heard was the crashing of the waves on the rocks, a few birds, and Jack's own feet. He wasn't used to this kind of quiet. It got him thinking. Thinking about his past...what happened...what could have been had he done things differently. Who would be in his life now...where he would be now.
"Interesting..." Jack said, realising his thinking had got him all confused and had made him take a wrong turn. He was now starring at the cliff face having gone down a dead ended street. Turning around...his face dropped, realising why he had taken that turn.
There was a run down looking house, empty for years by the looks of it.
Although tatty looking, Jack's eyes were fixed upon it. He walked toward it slowly, his hand outstretched...gently placing his hand on the outer wall.
He rubbed his hands along it...saying nothing and looking mournful.
He closed his eyes tightly....remembering the memories that came with this place. Jack soon opened his eyes when his fingers dropped slightly into a grove.
Jack turned his head and smiled slightly at what he saw.
the letters J and R were scratched into a heart shape on the stone wall.
The Captain closed his eyes tightly, as if trying hard to remember a lost memory.

"Cap'n!" a voice yelled, breaking Jack from his day dream. "What are ye doing here?" Gibbs said, walking towards his captain.
He stopped a few yards from Jack, looking at the house that stood before him.
Gibbs could say nothing...for he knew the memories Jack had...and what he must be thinking now.
Shaking his head, he slapped his Captains back before nodding and turning to leave.
Jack didn't look at his first mate once. His eyes were fixed upon the heart and letters in the wall.
He remembered her face, and he remembered her touch. He could remember everything...apart from how she went away. Jack had blocked it out since it happened all those years ago...even now...he couldn't remember.
He took a deep sigh before turning to leave. The longer he stayed there...the worst off it would be.

The night had come. The town folk has recovered from their thumping headaches and black eyes, and were now doing it all again.
The noise of laughter, voilence and sex filled the town of Tortuga as it did every night.
The crew had made camp in the local tavern, drinking til their hearts content.
All except one.
Their Captain was had been holding a full mug of rum for a few hours now...starring off into space...saying nothing.
It was Annamaria what decided enough was enough...
"Jack!" she yelled, slapping him on the back and taking a stool next to him.
Without moving, Jack calmly replied to his second mate: "Its CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow...CAPTAIN luv.."
"Aye..." the girl said, frowning at why her Captain hadn't looked in her direction. Annamaria was about to ask the Captain what was wrong...but she was interupted.
"Luv...before you ask...I'm fine. I'm just...a little...drunk," he grinned, taking a swig of his rum finally.
Annamaria blinked a few times...nodded, and returned to the rest of the crew.

"Gibbs...Sir..." she said, taking her seat and glancing over to where Jack sat...alone...still starring off into space. "Is he drunk?"
Gibbs sniggered slightly. "No Missy....our Jack is mourning..."
"Mourning?" the crew muttered.
"Aye...Mourning...I car't him earlier near a place that brings him bad memories..."
The crew leaned in closer, eager to hear more.
Gibbs noticed their eagerness and took a sip of Ale, his eyes darting to one crew member, to the next.
"To be fair te Jack...I can't. But, mark my words, ye'll all find out soon enough!" with that, Gibbs finished his rum and stood up. He winked at his fellow mates before turning and heading for the door.
The crew had a huge look of dissapointment on their faces.
"Jack ass!" Anamaria said, hurling her empty mug at Gibbs.
Gibbs ducked, grinning to himself he had caught their attention...and will continue to do so untill they find out.

"So....Captain," the girl said, swaying her hips and she walked, drawing her finger along the bedline. There was a sense of nervousness in her voice
"Why...er...why have you brought me here?"
Jack stood there in awe. He was pretty drunk, but pretty lucky he had picked up an incredibaly good looking whore.
He took a swig of his rum before placing it down.
He starred straight at the beauty as he began to walk forward.
She seemed to blush uncontrollably.
"Do to do you what needs to be done," he grinned.
The girl turned her head to the side as Jack got so close, she could smell his rum stained breath.
"Don't be shy," he said, bringing her head back to meet his.
She swallowed hard.
Jack took a deep breath and stood up straight, eyeing the girl.
"Your not a regular whore are you..." he said.
The girl shook her head. "You're...my...first client.."
Jack laughed. "Wonderful! I've always wanted a virgin."
The girl said nothing.
"Oh...I'm only joking love. Don't do anything you don't want to do. And seeing as I'm such a kind bloke, you can keep those shiny coins I gave to ya, savvy?"
The girl cocked a brow. Was he winding her up? "But..."
"Aaaa! No buts," Jack said, placing a finger over her lips. "But...you have to do one thing. I've got an hour with you, and I'll have my hour with you!"
The girl's face dropped. Was he contradicting himself already?
"Talk love, thats all I ask." jack ran over to the bed, picking his rum up on the way, and dived straight onto it. "Come, perch beside old Captain Sparrow!" he grinned, patting the bed with one hand and taking a swig of rum with the other.
The girl took a deep breath..."Just talk...?"

"So Raine, why on earth did you decide to become a whore?"
Jack could see Raine was a little hurt by being called a whore, so he quickly remedied it. "Er, no offense.."
"Its ok...a whore is what I am..." she said quietly, turning away again.
Jack turned her head gently back to face his again. "Hey...don't feel ashamed around me..."
Raine sighed. "I've been forced to."
Jack pricked up, cocking a brow.
"My father died last week....the money has run out and I have no way of paying anything...so...I was forced to become...a....a...whore!"
"And I bet I know just the bloke that suggested it.." Jack said.
Raine nodded.
"The Mckenzie brothers," they both said.
There was silence. Jack had his eyes fixed upon the beauty. He had learnt a lot about her within the few hours that had spoke.
The more he knew, the more he wanted her to stay. She was indeed a beauty. Very young...but a beauty none the less.
19 she was, 10 years younger than the Captain. Although she had a british accent, her appearance was spanish looking. She had breast length dark hair, dark eyes and olive skin. She had a beautiful Aura about her.
Jack reached out and stroked the side of her face.
Raine's eyes darted around, feeling obviously nervous by this.
"Oh...my...that was longer than an hours session," she yelled, darting up.
"Well, Mr Sparrow....Captain...sir, I bid thee a good night..."
"Wowowowow!" Jack said, shooting up after her. "Whats the rush darling?"
Raine swallowed hard and turned her head away.
"Whats the rush?" Jack said softly, walked over to her. When he reached her, she did not face him...she just stayed with her head tilted towards the ground.
Jack turned his head so he met her gaze. He smiled before gently kissing her.
Raine backed away.
"Hey, hey love....its ok. I'm not gonna do anything..." he put his hands up and backed away slowly.

"Jack!" Gibbs said the next day.
Sparrow power walked straight past his first mate, away from the docked ship and towards the town.
"Where ye goin'? We're sailing today!" Gibbs said, waddling after his Captain.
"I've got some unfinished business to attend to." Jack ddin't slow down or look at Gibbs. His eyes were fixed on the town.
Gibbs huffed to keep up. He was glad when Jack was heading towards the Inn.
"McKenzie!" Jack yelled, throwing open the door and heading towards a group of men. They wore gold and had gold teeth, but they looked nothing like pirates. Three big lads stood up, while two skinny men backed away.
"'ere, what d'ya want Sparrow!" one of the skinny ones said.
Jack said nothing. He walked slowly towards them, eyes fixed. "My wife..."
The two skinny men looked at each other before backing away even more.
"Naw! It was nufin to do with us Jack....we learnt our lesson when you battered us!" the other skinny guy yelled, breathing hard.
"Shut it J," the other one said, smacking his brother across his head. "Go on, you wont get anything out of us this time Jack..." he smirked.
"Pete..." J said, panacking.
"Its alright J," pete said, chewing his tooth pick and eyeing Jack.
"Last time, we didn't have the tri boys protecting us did we!"
Jack grinned. "Aw yes, I couldn't help but notice you've had to hire help after I wiped that smirk off of your face last time."
Pete laughed. "Well...its my turn to wipe away your smirk!"
The three large lads adived for Jack. No sooner had they done that when the door burst open again, and in ran the whole of the Black pearl crew.
"SHIT!" J yelled, hiding under a table.
"Now," Jack said, advancing on pete.
"Fuck you Jack..." he said, backing away into a wall.
Jack shot out his hand and placed it tightly around the man's throat. He took his dagger in the other hand and held it up to his throat.
"Last time I stopped you pimping out my misses..." Jack said, digging the knife into Pete's throat.
Blood trickled down, Pete gasping for breath and moaning at the pain.
The crew stood there looking at their captain. They'd never seen him this barbaric before.
"What deal did you and Barbossa strike?" Jack said, shaking Pete once.
Pete said nothing.
"TELL ME!" Jack yelled, digging the knife in even deeper.
"ALRIGHT!" Pete managed to squeel, amoungt the strnagulation and piecring pain of the blade. "Barbossa" he spluttered. "Barbossa promised us gold..."
Jack shook the man again. "What do'ya mean?!"
Pete struggled to breath. Jack just tightened his grip. "How did they find my wife..."
"She left the house while you were gone" J said, crawling out from under the table. "We followed her and took her. The deal was, we would sail out and meet the pearl in the middle of the night...and then we'd get the gold..."
Jack turned and kicked J straight in the face. He fell back while Pete slumped to the floor, not breathing. Jack's attention was now on J, his nose pouring with blood.
"So...the reason I was marroned...while my wife was kept on the ship, rapped, and tortured, while they sailed off back to tortuga, leading to her downhill spiral into depression and madness, resulting in her throwing herself off the cliffs, a day before I returned, was your doing?"
J shook his head. "I...we..."
jack had heard enough. With one slash of his knife, J's throat was pouring with blood.
The crew stood there, open mouthed not believing what they had just heard, and just seen.
J spluttered before collpasing on the floor, to join his brother in hell.
"If I were you three, I'd find yourself some decent people to protect," Jack smirked at the tri boys. He turned his gaze towards his crew. "Back to the ship! We sail!" he smirked, happy with his work.
