Hector

The syllables form, erupt like lava, tumbling from the brim of your hardened mouth. You scream his name. Over and over. You scream his name until your tongue is numb. Until your mouth is filled with the ashes of burning bodies. Until you taste your blood at the back of your throat.

Hector.

How dare he invade your mind at the temple of Apollo, like the plague that will not rest until its host is dead. How dare he become the focus of your thoughts, your life. How dare he infect your mind like a disease and take your lover’s life.

Hector.

You want to taste his blood. Rip him apart. Stab him, spear him, gouge out his eyes, shred his flesh from bone. You want to fuck him. Fuck him until he bleeds. Breaks. Splits apart. You want him. You want him dead.

Hector.

The gates open. He emerges. You will kill him. You are ready to die.
