Gabriel calmly watched Anna fight the demon. Her moves were quick and deadly, and in no time the demon laid dead on the ground. Anna flashed him a sly smile, and he returned the favor. He had always been proud of her stealth, but her temper could get out of control sometimes. And he had found the perfect way to simmer her down.

"I told you I could do it on my own," Anna smirked.

"Yes, but I could have done it in half the time," he jokingly replied.

Anna's eyes narrowed, she was a little annoyed by that remark.

"I can fight just as well as you can, you bastard."

Anna scoffed, than said,

"Anna I don't think that is such a good idea. You just brought down a pretty powerful demon, maybe you should rest," he said.

"I don't need to rest," she growled, and took a swing at his head.

Always a step ahead of her, Gabriel blocked her shot. Realizing what she had almost done, Anna gasped and relaxed her arm.

"I'm sorry, Gabriel. I have such a temper," she said.

"I know, my love, I know."

He released her arm and gently stroked her wild brown curls. He sat down on a decaying church bench; demons were quite fond of attacking in churches. Anna knew what was to happen next. Her behavior had earned her quite a chastisement. Actually it had earned her quite a spanking.
