Disclaimer:
I do not own the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie series, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Shinigami and secrets
Ok. I say this and this alone...I don't own any of the turtle characters. Satori is my own creation. This is a story about Casey Jones being married. So, if you are against that kinda thing, don't flame me. And this is also a mutated form of a dream I had. Mostly the fight scene with the turtles coming in, I just made up most of the rest. Sorry to you all... though I shouldn't be. I like to write, I like the Turtles, and I create heavy characters.
"I don't care Satori! I have a job to do. This city needs my help." Casey said.
He was fuming. He had helped a couple in Central Park earlier, earning himself cuts on his face, and a gash on his arm. Satori, the woman he was talking to, was cleaning him up. It was a common argument between the two. Since they had married about six months before, and Satori had found out what Casey did at night. Casey knew that it worried Satori, and he tried to make sure that she knew what was going on when he knew. But it was hard on the both of them, little money in a tiny apartment. Right now he just felt angry, and very frustrated that she was not shouting right back at him.
"Casey I only worry about you. I fear you won't return some night, when the gangs decide to fight against you as one or whatever other evil out there will..." Satori started to say but Casey stopped her.
"Satori, I can take care of myself! Don't worry about my not coming back!" Casey shouted and then stormed off.
Satori watched, stunned with tears forming in her eyes. These arguments were getting to be repetitious lately. The two of them lived day to day for the most part. She had just finished schooling for an interior designer and decorator. With her internship ending, it didn't look to promising that she would get a job soon. Especially since most times it entailed moving, and that took a lot of money, not to mention they wished to stay in New York. Casey worked where and when he could. He was at a factory, earning what he could while going out and saving the city with the others.
"I love you Casey." She whispered.
Satori sighed. She didn't care where they lived as long as they were together. She felt frustration as well. She was Japanese and Native American. Many didn't approve of the combination, some had memories of a war long ago and fed them to their offspring, and they all harbored a subtle dislike against her. If that was what it could be called. Some accepted her for what she was, but those were the ones who had known her as she was growing up with her foster family. This was the family who had trained her in the art of ninjitsu, the family that was killed by an unseen foe. She had fought this person as the fire burned the house down around them. She had been about to unmask him when the house had collapsed almost killing her.
Since that time she had been hiring herself out as a maid among other things, to pay her way through school. She was never really able to get ahead, and just barely managed to get by. That was when the Foot started to move in on New York. She had met Casey during that time though. However he was having a little fling with the news woman April. Satori had been behind the scenes, helping to keep things in check, but had gotten injured and was unable to help for a while. Casey had found her, and taken her to a hospital. They were oddly attracted to one another, and he kept checking up on her.
He had proposed to her after they had been seeing each other for about eight months. They had gotten married in a small ceremony, nothing expensive since neither would be able to afford it in the end anyway. What Casey hadn't found out since that day, was something that Satori neglected to tell him. She felt guilty about it every second of the day, but knew that he would order her to stop, and that she would do it just to make him happy. Satori went out at night, just as Casey did. But they didn't know it was her. She was a costumed figure in the shadows. She went to defend the city as Casey did.
Satori sighed as she shut and locked the door. She had been on the verge of telling Casey when the argument started. Sitting in front of the cloudy mirror she looked at herself. She prayed Casey would come home soon. In a flash she grabbed her sei's and spun around ready to fight. Satori growled feeling the metal of her sei's against her forearms.
"What do you want?" She growled.
"That is for master to say. Attack." the leader said.
It felt like a sinister version of a pajama party. Men in dark clothes were everywhere, remnants of the Foot. Satori began to fight them systematically and carefully. Then suddenly the room grew more crowded. She saw flashes of green and male voices.
"Satori? Are you okay?" Someone asked.
"Keno? What on earth are you doing here?" Satori shouted.
"It's a long story. Casey was worried that you were in trouble." Keno said giving one ninja a round house kick.
"Where is he Keno? I have to tell him something important, but we had another argument, and he stormed out." She said.
"It's alright Satori, he knows. He's watched you leave this place and followed you. He understands why you haven't told him." Keno said.
As the two spoke, they fought off ninja's. They mirrored each other most times. It hadn't been a year even since the two found out that they were brother and sister. What had been an even bigger blow was to find that they were twins, and that their mother had requested that they be taught martial arts. That she had died, and the one that their birth records had been stolen.
"No, Keno. It’s something else." Satori said, looking him in the eye.
Keno studied her face for a moment. Understanding dawned on his face. The turtles fought on the other side of the apartment as the siblings fought themselves into a corner. Satori was suddenly knocked into a wall, her sei's flying from her hands. She continued to block kicks and punches. Keno did his best to help her out, but they didn't seem to be getting very far.
"Let’s get these guys out of here. Satori?" He said.
"Almost four months. I really don't know. They wouldn't tell me much." She said.
ooc/ yeah.. I know... but hey it’s almost 1 am and I need sleep. I am going to be busy.... and I like sleeping. Believe me the story will be finished. This one is one I wrote completely before I started it here.
