My Career as a Pirate
Chapter 1 – My Career as a Pirate
I have always wanted to be a pirate ever since I can remember. As a young girl I would always beg my dad to take me along on one of his grand adventures on his merchant ship and travel the open seas with him. His crew was more like family to me, only with a plethora or more uncles. Since the unexpected death of my mother I ended up living on the ship with my father and his crew when I was only 5 years old. My father would teach me everything there needed to be learned about how to manage a ship, except how to sword fight. He felt a lady should not have to learn such a brutal way of fighting. I had spent a good 18 years on my father’s ship, until one day at sea a Spanish vessel crossed our paths and we battled till the death. Both sides were dramatically wounded, including the loss of my father. His ship was set ablaze and sank to the deep depths of the watery grave. I was the only one who managed to escape the explosion and swam to a distant island. I waited there 3 days until some rumrunners, who used this very island as a cache, came by and I was able to barter a passage off. After I had recuperated and regained my strength at the local bar, I overheard a couple of drunks talking about a captain who was looking for some new crewmembers. I ran out to the docks as fast as I could, hoping I did not miss them. I saw a very tall man wearing a tri cornered hat standing in front of a line of men, whom I assumed to be the captain. I hurriedly ran at the end of line and fell into place. When he came to me at last he took a moment to scan my body up and down, until I finally thrust my head forwards looking him straight in the eye. He scanned my body over once more before finally sauntering off yelling at the top of his lungs that everyone should follow him on board his ship and get ready to set sail. I was able to eavesdrop on one of his conversations with his first mate tit wit was bad luck to bring a woman aboard but the captain just shrugged it off.
Today was my first day with a new crew, a new captain, and aboard a new ship, the most sea fearing pirate ship in the Caribbean, The Black Pearl, with the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow leading the way. While I was busy swabbing the deck and mending the sails I noticed some of the crew members having sword fights on deck. I dropped what I was working on and made my way over to the scene to get a betteok. ok.
"I'd like to try that." I spoke up, after a match for fun had ended. The Captain looked at me, bewildered.
"You? Want to learn to fight?"
I nodded, "I might need to, someday"
The crew laughed, but Captain shrugged and tossed me a sword. "Feet shoulder width apart- keep your weight on the balls of your feet"
I obliged and we began our lesson. "Now, whe att attacker comes at you, you need to keep moving the line, making him retreat."
He'd been saying that for the last half hour. I was getting bored. "Then what?"
"Then...just...keep moving the line. That should buy you enough time." He glanced around. Several men nodded; it dawned on me suddenly what he'd been doing- making me the damsel in distress.
"Until what? My attacker dies of old age? Or until one of these strapping men swoop in to save me?" A number of the crew laughed. "I already know how to be helpless and weak-willed. And I know how to stave. Now I to to know how to fight."
The Captain raised an eyebrow, a slight smirk on his face. "All right, all right- how about this?" He demonstrated a few moves that seemed easy enough. I caught on and quickly became cocky.
"Care to duel?" Captain asked, with an edge to his voice.
We faced off, he advanced, and I fought back. Clang clang. Our swords sounded like church bells as they collided with fierce frequency. As our swords sliced into each other sparks of fire licked the sides of the blades and splashed onto the deck. Everyone stared in awe. There was a commotion behind me; I moved my eyes away from my opponent for only a moment to try to ascertain what it was I had heard. A moment too long, the Captain quickly took this as his opportune moment and knocked me down to the floor. The Captain stood over me looking down in triumph. Cheers were heard on deck but as Jack was absorbing all the compliments I took my chance, swung my leg underneath his feet which caused him to topple over onto his backside, I then punched his hand jettisoning his sword into the air which I had caught with ease and pointed it straight at his heart. The crew cheered boisterously and swarm around me congratulating me on my victory. The Captain was shocked and pleased; he had never seen a woman defeat him in a duel in his entire being.
After my glorious achievement, I was sent to the gallery to help the cook prepare the meals. After everyone had finished eating I cleaned off all of the dishes and went down to the stock room to count all of the supplies that were left. A terrible, tropical storm had suddenly encompassed us and I was ordered to tighten and secure the crew’s lifelines, making sure no one would fall overboard. The ocean waves violently rocked the ship, as if it was tempting the members of the vessel to fall off into its watery depths. The thunder sounded like a herd of buffalos stampeding down a gorge, while lightning flashed vehemently in the dreary sky. After the storm finafinally seceded, leaving everyone completely drenched, the crew and Jack thanked me for doing such a wonderful job on keeping everyone tied down. If it wasn’t for me half of the crew wouldn’t be there to celebrate. By nightfall I was sent up to the crow’s nest to be the look out. The view was breath taking. Stars filled the clear, black sky and I could easily point out Orion’s Belt, along with the big and little dipper. The wind whizzed past my hair pushing it swiftly against my face and the salt breeze floated into my nose as I breathed in, closing my eyes and absorbing all of the scenery. From the corner of my eye I could see a shadow climbing swiftly up the mast near the crow’s nest, I quickly turned around to see Captain Jack Sparrow grinning while he hoisted himself into the crow’s nest and sat next to me. Silence overpowered. All that could be heard were the waves crashing against the hull of the ship and the breathing of the captain and me. I turned my gaze to meet his and quirked a questionable eyebrow.
“Ye know lass; you’ve got to be one of the best pirates I’ve ever seen.” Jack said with his eyes never leaving mine.
“So it would seem.” I replied to Jack almost in a whisper. I looked up at him expecting him to say something cocky but instead his eyes bore into mine filled with admiration. A small smile slowly danced upon his lips as did mine as we stared at each other for a few more minutes until I abruptly turned my head and gazed out into the starry sky listening to the crash of the waves, smiling broadly. This is definitely one job I can live with.
Chapter 2-Feelings and a Flashback
Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, and as time slowly progressed I became more acquainted with the crew and the captain. Anamaria, Captain Sparrow’s first mate, and I have become the best of friends. We sha share a cabin together since we are the only women aboard the Black Pearl, and there is no way in God’s name I will ever room with the crew. Don’t get me wrong, thew cew can be a real nice bunch, but personally I wouldn’t want to sleep in the same room filled with sex driven men who haven’t had the pleasure of a woman in months. These men are covered with dirt and sweat from head to toe, their bodies reek of rotting fish and eggs due to the absence of bathing and proper hygiene, their teeth are decaying turning green, brown, and black, also their breath smells as if they had eaten a thousand onions and other vile substances. Just the mere thought of having to sleep in the same bunks as these men makes my stomach heave left and right, ready to explode at any given moment. However, Anamaria has been teaching me how to cope with the men and she told me that any one of them as to touch or speak to me in the wrong way, I’d be sure to set them straight. Some of the men can be real gentlemen, like Mr. Gibbs, but the others you’d best keep a sharp eye out.
Jack and I have come to appreciate and respect one another; however his ever changing personality never ceases to amaze me. When we are alone he is constantly flirting, working that magnificent charm of his, but if other people are around he changes completely. He just acknowledges my presence and continues on his merry way. I am having mixed emotions for the captain. Jack is clearly a very cleaver and mysterious man, but that’s what attracts me to him. The way he sways from side to side when he walks, the way he speaks to me in that deep soothing voice of his, how his beautiful chocolate eyes glisten under the sun, just everything about him I have come to love.
Hold the phone! What am I doing thinking about the captain this way? Pirates can’t fall in love! Their hearts are as black as coal filled with hatred. The only things pirates care about are treasure and rum. And the occasional wench here and there. No, not good. I can’t be having these kinds of feelings for Jack. He has a whore in every port to tend to all of his wants and desires. I could never find a space in Jack’s heart. To him I’m only a crew member, but in my eyes he will always be my secret love.
(“He’s a Tramp” From Lady and the Tramp)
He’s a tramp But I love him Breaks a new heart Ev’ry day He’s a tramp They adore him And I only hope He’ll stay that way He’s a tramp He’s a scoundrel He’s a rounder He’s a cad He’s a tramp But I love him Yes, and even I Have got it pretty bad You can never tell When he’ll show up He gives you Plenty of trouble I guess he’s just a No ‘count pup But I wish that he Were double He’s a tramp He’s a rover And there’s nothing More to say If he’s a tramp He’s a good one And I wish that I Could travel his way
While I sat on the stairs of the deck pondering, Anamaria waltzes over and sits down next to me. Stretching and rubbing her feet she says, “Sure was a beautiful day today. I reckon we’ll have a calm night ahead of us.” She turns her head and stares at me. “What’s on yer mind, mate?”
Shaking out of my daze I quickly gazed at her and then back to Jack steering the helm sighing, “Huh? Oh, nothing.”
“Ye lie. I can see it in yer eyes. I know what yer really thinking.”
I stare at her in utter shock but shake my head and quickly get up and walk over to the side oe she ship starring out to sea, “I don’t know what yer talking about.”
“Oh come on! Throw me a fricken bone here! I know ye are head over heels fer Jack. I hear ye say his name in yer sleep. Why don’t ye jest tell him how ye feel?”
Frustrated, I slam my fists against the ra“Bec“Because pirates aren’t supposed to fall in love! There’s this unwritten rule somewhere saying pirates can’t fall in love. Besides, I don’t know if Jack even feels the same way.”
“So ye do love him!?” exclaims Anamaria. “I knew it! I had a feeling that ye...”
I abruptly cut her off in mid-sentence, “Alright, ye figured me out. I love Jack, alright? Are ye happy now? Is that what ye wanted te hear?”
“I think ye should tell Jack yerself how ye feel. You’d be quite surprised.”
Sighing and bowing my head in between my arms, “No, Jack would never feel the same. The only things he loves are treasure, rum, his ship, and bloody whores! It would never work between us, we’re complete opposites.”
Feeling rather depressed I walked away from Ana to sit alone at the stern of the ship to think.
As I watched the sun begin to set I recollected my memories of my father. I remember how he’d use twaysways call me his little pirate. Every time I saw him there was always a smile plastered on that man’s face. People would walk up to me on the ship saying how my father was a good man, a good pirate, and they swore I look just like him. I also inherited his wonderful personality traits; stubbornness, curiosity, intelligence, courage, and bravery.
(Flashback)
As my father and I watched the sun’s rays lick the sky as it sets I rest my head on his shoulder, close my eyes, and listen to the sound of his voice. It didn’t matter what he was talking about, just the sound of his voice was so calming and comforting I would fall asleep in his arms. However, that night would be the last time I could hear his voice. Into the horizon my father picked out a ship moving closer to us and coming at full speed. I looked up to see the smile on my father’s face quickly diminished to a serious look of worry.
“What’s wrong Papa?” He not not answer. He pulled out his telescope to get a better look of the oncoming ship.
“Papa? What is it? Who are they?” I wettietting worried when he wasn’t answering me. Suddenly his face turned ghostly pale and dropped the telescope onto the deck. He ran at full speed to the helm, shouting to the crew to load the cannons and prepare to fight. Everyone was frantically running about the ship, collecting their swords and fire arms. I pushed my way through the crowd until I found my father standing next to the helm with his sword unsheathed.
“Papa tell me what’s going on?”
He turned to stare down at me with a grave expression on his face. His eyes filled with sadness and terror. Quickly he grabbed me by the shoulder, walked me into his cabin and locked the door. I was terrified. I had never seen him act this way.
“It’s the Spanish,” my father began explaining. “Captain Jupiter of the Perro de Negro (Black Dog). A long time ago I had an encounter with him and stole something very valuable and he’s been searching for it ever since. He must never have it?”
“Papa, what is it?”
He then pulled out a small leather pouch from his boot and placed it in my hands. I looked down at it in utter confusion.
“Keep it next te yer heart and as far away from Captain Jupiter as possible. He must never have it, savvy? If he does thousands of lives will be at stake and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop him.”
“But what am I supposed to do with it?”
My father smiled, “You’ll soon find out at the opportune moment.”
Right then we could hear people fighting, swords clanging, gun shots being fired, screams of agony, and men yelling for help. Loud banging was heard on the cabin door, I quickly shoved the pouch into my boot and stood next to my father with his sword still unsheathed. A shot was fired followed by a man kicking down the door and slowly entering into the room.
My father gasped, “Captain Jupiter!”
“In the flesh. Now, Captain Hawk, I believe ye have something of mine and I want it back. Be a good lad and hand it over, or else suffer the consequences.”
“Never!”
“Fine, have It yer way then.” Captain Jupiter drew out his sword which was still covered with dark red blood dripping from its blade. I dodged past the Spaniard and out onto the deck where men were busily battling away. I turned around just in time to see Captain Jupiter shove a cutlass straight through my father’s chest. He swiped his sword out of him and he fell to his knees clutching his chest, gasping for air. I started to run towards him but he shouted, “NO! I love ye my little pirate.” And with that he collapsed onto the floor and died. Tears were welding up in my eyes but anger took its place. I started to walk up to Captain Jupiter but 25 Spaniards chased after me. I ran to the stern of the ship and saw an island off in the distance. “I can’t swim that!” I turned around and saw the Spaniards running towards me. “I guess I have no choice.” I dove off the ship and swam to the island.
When I reached shore I gazed back at my father’s ship slowly sinking into the depths of the sea. Moments later an enormous explosion erupted from the ship sending pieces of wood everywhere. I feel on my knees and bursted into tears screaming at the top of my lungs but I knew I was all alone.
(End of flashback)
Teaere ere streaming down my face and I couldn’t control my sobs anymore. Anger took over and in a fiery rage I stood up shouting curses at the sea.
“Damn ye te hell Captain Jupiter! I’ll avenge my father’s death ye bloody bastard. Jest wait! I’ll get ye like ye got him. Bloody bastard! I hate ye! Cursed ye fer breathing!”
I picked up some empty crates and busted them against the railing throwing whatever I could find overboard.
Jack heard loud noises coming from the stern of the ship and ran quickly to see what the trouble was. As soon as he saw me smashing crates with a hammer he ran up to me and as I raised my arm to strike the wooden box he grabbed my wrist holding tight.
“Now that’s not very nice.” He saw my eyes blood red from crying, he took the hammer out of my hand, still holding my arms he looked at me with a deep concern on his face. “Luv, what’s wrong? Are ye okay?”
“No Jack! Everything is wrong! I don’t deserve te be here! He killed my father! He killed him and left me all alone te die! I shouldn’t be here. I...I...” I couldn’t find the words to describe the pain I was experiencing. I fell to the deck crying my eyes out. Jack cradled me in his arms, with his hands running through my hair, rocking me back and forth saying soothing words.
“Shhh luv. Jack’s got ye. I won’t let anything happen te ye. Shhh. It’s all right. Let it out, shhhh.”
As Jack cooed soothing words to me, sleep finally overcame and I fell asleep in his arms.
(“Once Upon a Dream” Sleeping Beauty)
I kyou you I walked with you once upon a dream I know you The gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam Yes, I know it’s true That visions are seldom all they seem But if I know you, I know what you’ll do You’ll love me at once The way you did once upon a dream
Chapter 3-Story Time
I tossed and turned in a deep slumber. Images of Captain Jupiter murderingfathfather flashed before my eyes like a bolt of lightning. There was nothing I could do. I was a mere apparition in a trance. As I saw my father fall to the wooden floor after Captain Jupiter ripped out his cutlass, he mouthed, “Turn to Sparrow for guidance.” He closed his eyes and collapsed to the floor. Blood poured from his mouth and wound flooding the cabin floor.
I jolted from my sleep with my breath rasping and my forehead dripping with sweat. Tears began to weld up in my eyes but I blinked them away. Scolding myself not to start that up again. As I regained my bearings I laid back down and familiarized myself with the room. Maroon shades on the windows were drawn only allowing a few strands of light to seep through. In the corner was a wooden chair with a small table covered with papers, maps, and a few other “essentials.” All along the floor were scattered pieces of clothes and empty rum bottles. An open door lead into a well kept bathroom with a white rug on the floor and towels strewn on the sides of the sink and tub. The bed, which I was currently occupying, had a warm scarlet comforter with matching sheets. The room was rather small but the bed seemed to be the main focus. It was probably a king sized bed that was extremely comfortable making you never want to get up and leave. The whole room had a sweet aroma of rum and salt. This must be Captain Sparrow’s quarters. I thought. But how did I end up in here?
As if on cue the cabin door opened and in walked the famous Captain Jack Sparrow. Beads dangled on the sides of his head with a red bandana wrapped around his forehead. His dirty cream shirt was unbuttoned exposing his tan muscular chest. He swayed from side to side as if he were drunk. While he turned to shut the door I took this opportune moment to check out his “ass”ets. His body is perfectly sculpted; I could not find one flaw in this man. As I was exploring this breath taking view, he noticed that I was awake and carefully sat down next to me on the bed. He grabbed a rag from the night stand, squeezed out the excess water into a small bowl and dabbed my forehead. He gently pushed aside the hair from my face.
“How are ye feeling luv?” Jack asked, his eyes filled with concern and something else but I couldn’t quite grasp it so I shrugged it off.
“Better I imagine. I’m sorry about last night. I don’t know what came over me.”
“Quite all right luv, but I think ye should apologize te the crates ye managed te turn into saw dust with the help of yer hammer,” a small grin spread across his handsome features.
Damn those eyes! One look in those deep chocolate eyes of his and I swear I would tell him anything and everything he wanted to know. Why does he have te be so bloody perfect?!
I averted my eyes from his but I could still feel his gaze upon my body, scanning me up and down. “I promise not te have ‘nother nervous breakdown, Captain,” I told him while I scooted up on my elbows.
He tossed the rag back into the bowl, placed his calloused hands under my chin, lifting my head up looking deep in his eyes. His touch sent shivers up and down my spine. “Is there something ye’d like te tell me about last night, about why ye cried, or about anything at all?”
“Not at the moment, Captain.”
“Luv, how many times mu tel tell ye? Call me Jack. And are ye sure ye don’t want te tell me? I have some time te spare.”
“What about sailing yer beloved ship?” I questioned raising an eyebrow.
“Already taken cared of. It’s Anamaria’s turn te steer the ship now.”
“All right. How did I end up in yer quarters?”
“Ye don’t remember? Well ye cried yerself te sleep in me arms so I couldn’t jest leave ye out in the cold te freeze, and I didn’t want te wake anyone up so I carried ye in here and let ye sleep in me bed while I stayed up and watched ye from me chair.”
(All together now everyone AWWWWW!)
What a gentleman! He stayed up and watched over me while I slept. There’s definitely more than meets the eye te Captain Jack Sparrow, let me tell ye.
I blushed a little and smiled at him. “Thank ye Jack. Ye didn’t have te do that.”
“No trouble at all luv. Now,” he said while getting up and grabbed a bottle of rum from underneath his b“Ye “Ye mind telling me what caused ye te go all hysteria last night?”
“I guess. Ye better make yerself comfortable.”
I told Jack everything about my past, my relationship with my father, the death of my mother, and the attack of Captain Jupiter. Jack didn’t say much of anything the whole time I told him my story. He made the right gestures and facial expressions at the proper moments and when I finished, he pulled me into a warm embrace.
Stroking my hair he asked, “What do ye plan on doing?”
I shrugged my shoulders and rubbed my face into his chest, “I don’t know. But I imagine that Captain Jupiter is after me and he won’t stop until I’m dead and he gets what he wants.”
Jack hugged me tighter, “I’ll never let him hurt ye. I promise ye that. I’ll stay with ye no matter what, savvy?”
Is Jack acting all brotherly on me, or is that love? No, it can’t be love. That’s not probable. Captain Jack Sparrow can’t fall in love, or can he?
“Thanks Jack. But what are we going te do? Captain Jupiter must be out there somewhere searching fer me.”
“Where’s the leather pouch yer father gave ye?”
I glanced around the floor looking for my boot. I climbed off the bed and sauntered over to my clothes. I reached down into my boot and pulled out the small leather pouch. I took it over to Jack and sat back on the bed. I pulled apart the pouch and dropped the object onto the bed. Jack and I red red at it in shock with our eyes wide and jaws dropped.
“It can’t be!” gasped Jack.
“What? What is it?”
“It’s...It’s...”
Chapter 4-The All Seeing Eye
Jack couldn’t seem to find the words to describe what he was feeling right then. For once he was speechless. The site of this amazing pendant took his breath away. He had no idea it even existed! I got fed up looking at his shocked expression and became very annoyed.
“Jack! What the bloody hell is it?” That certainly aroused his attention because after I screamed at him he abruptly shook his head and looked dead in my eyes. His features were filled with excitement and joy (kindof like the look someone has right after they get off an amazing roller coaster for the first time. I know they didn’t have roller coasters in the 18th century, so sue me. I was just helping you readers picture his look).
“It’s the All Seeing Eye!” A huge ass grin spread across his face like he’d just discovered all the treasure in the world. “I never knew it even existed. Course I’ve only heard about it in real life.”
I picked up the pendant and held it in my hand, looking at it in suspicion.
“It’s definitely a mystery that my father left fer me te discover, but it completely alludes me. What do ye think it’s fer?”
I’m not sure, but I think I know someone who might. C’mon luv.”
Jack quickly stood up and jogged out of the cabin to the helm. He shooed Ana away while he took held of the wheel and changed directions. Before I left the cabin I placed the pendant around my neck, fixed my hair and outfit of course, then I quickly followed Jack. I can’t look like a disaster on a special occasion such as this. Jack’s eyes were permanently fixed on the horizon with a stern look upon his face. The elements all around didn’t seem to bother him. As the wind blew and the ship rocked from side to side violently Jack stood tall as a mountain with pride. Nothing could affect him, except me. (Bwa ha ha ha!)
I walked up beside him starring off into the rising sun. “Jack?”
“Mmmm, yes luv?”
“Who are we going to see and where?”
“We are going te visit me dear old friends Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann in Port Royal. We should be there by noon if the winds keep up.”
“Aren’t they the ones who were on yer last grand adventure?”
“Aye, luv. I wonder how the bloody whelp is doing. Wanna make a wager?”
n whn what Jack?”
“Te see if the whelp married Liz or not. I’d be surprised if she turned the eunuch down. They make such a great pair.”
“Jack! How can ye think of gambling at a time like this? He’s yer friend.”
“Easy luv, it comes naturally te me. It’s a gift.”
“My arse!” I shoved Jack in the shoulder and was about to walk away when he snaked his arm around my waist and pulled me close to him. My heart began to race. Beating a mile a minute. I could feel his chest rise and fall against mine as he breathed. The heat from his body rose and warmed me up when we touched. I raised my arm massaging his tan muscular chest with my hand. He looked down at me and starred into my eyes.
There’s that look again! What could be going on inside that man’s head? I will find out sooner or later.
“Now that’s not very nice luv.”
“I was jest having a bit ‘ol fun Jack,” I ran my fingers slowly up his chest messing with the buttons on his shirt.
Jack grazed his hand down my back sending chills through my body. He nuzzled his head in my hair and whispered in my ear. “How’s about we have a lil fun in me quarters?” he asked with a suggestive wink and sexily grin.
At first I was shocked but I regained my composure before Jack saw my expression and peeled his arm off of me and took a step back. “What do ye take me fer Captain? I’m not some whore ye can pick up and drop whenever ye felt like it. If ye really want something yer gonna have te work fer it. Are ye up fer the challenge, Jack?” As I asked him that I gave his arse a light squeeze and walked down the stairs back to my and Ana’s cabin but as I turned the corner I heard Jack mumble, “I’m always up fer a challenge.”
I walked into the room and closed the door behind me. Making sure no one was around I pulled the pendant from my neck to get a better look at it. It was small, about the size of a shilling, made out of pure silver with little carvings of leaves and vines around an eyeball. The eyeball was carved in such a great detail it seemed as if it could see right through my soul. I shuddered at this thought but brushed it aside.
I rubbed my fingers over its surface and memorized its beautiful details. I thought about my dad. Oh how much I missed him and longed just to hear the sound of his voice one more time. I closed my eyes trying to picture him and all of a sudden I felt a surge of power run through me like a bolt of lightning. It didn’t hurt but it felt like the wind was knocked out of me. It all went by so fast. I was back on my father’s ship, standing at the helm. I could feel the spray of the sea and the wind against my skin.
This can’t be real, can it?
I turned around and saw the back of my father. I quickly towards him tears chocking my throat. “Papa?”
He turned around and starred at me. It was him! It was my father, in the flesh, standing just a few feet from me. I reached out to touch him but I was abruptly pulled back in a sudden jolt and fell back into conscience. I opened my eyes and I was back in my cabin sitting on the bed holing onto the pendant. I looked down and saw drops of water against my skin. I whipped my arm with my hand and licked my fingers. Sea water!
I jumped off of the bed and fell to the floor when I heard a loud knock at the door. “Aye?”
“It’s Ana. We’re at Port Royal. Jack wants ye te go ashore with him now.”
“All right. I’ll be there in a minute.”
I rose to my feet and went straight to the mirror to fix myself up. Did I just travel back in time? No, of course not. That’s impossible.
I placed the pendant underneath my shirt and walked out of the cabin to meet Jack. I couldn’t help but wonder if that was just a dream or reality.
Chapter 5-Reunion
“It’s about time luv! Where have ye bloody been?” Jack asked in an agitated manner with his arms crossed at his chest while he repeatedly tapped his foot on the dock.
I couldn’t help but to stifle a laugh at this site. “Why Jack, did ye miss me?” I casually sauntered onto the gangp and and down the dock to join him.
“We’re running late and I don’t intend on having a reunion with the good ‘ol Commodore.”
“Okay, okay. Keep yer breeches on.”
I joined by Jack’s side walking down the dock. I caught a glimpse of an elderly man carrying a rather large book and a quill pen accompanied by a little boy, looking no older than 10. I assumed the older man was the harbormaster.
I smiled and waved to the little boy who returned the gesture. Jack just glared at me and I shrugged my shoulders with the ‘what did I do now?’ look.
We continued on walking when the harbormaster came to a sudden realization on what we were doing, turned around and shouted after us, “Oy! It’s a shilling to tie up your boat at dock. And I shall need to know your names.”
Jack and I both rolled our eyes. I reached into my pocket and pulled out a few shillings. I placed them on the harbormaster’s book. “What do ye say te three shillings and we ferget the name?” I winked at the man hoping he would accept my offer.
The elderly man looked shocked and smiled in response. “Welcome to Port Royal Mr. and Mrs. Smith.” He slammed shut his book and continued on his merry way with the little boy following close behind.
I was going to correct the harbormaster by mentioning Jack and I are not married, but Jack was in a hurry so I let the matter slide.
“C’mon luv, we’ve got te find Will. I’m guessing he’s working so we’ll head te the blacksmith shop first, savvy? Luv? Luv?”
Jack became worried when I didn’t answer him. I was daydreaming about being married to the handsome pirate. Mrs. Captain Jack Sparrow. *Sighs dreamily.* That does have a nice ring to it. I felt like I was floating in the clouds not a care in the world. Just me and Jack so madly in love with each other with no worries and we sail off into the horizon.
I wasn’t paying attention to where I was going and I smacked right into Jack. Our heads smashed together and we stumbled backwards.
“Owww! Bloody hell woman!”
“Sorry Jack.”
Jack and I had our hands on our heads and winced in pain. However, Jack was taking his injury rather dramatically and way out of proportion.
“Geeze woman! What’s yer head made out of? Lead?!”
“Ha ha very funny Jack. Ye know ye’re not onlyonly one with a head injury. But I’m assuming ye lost a lot more than a few brain cells with that one.”
Jack growled and gave me an evil glare while rubbing his head. He turned around and swaggered down the streets angrily. I merely giggled and followed him close behind. We turned the corner and I noticed a plethora of red coats standing around idly.
“Uh oh. Not good.” I nervously scanned the area seeing more and more red coats walking about. I looked for Jack but he was no where in site. I started to panic.
Whispering, “Jack? Jack where are ye?”
Suddenly a rouged looking arm snaked around my waist pulling me towards him fast. I was about to scream when a calloused hand covered my mouth and held on to me tightly, pressing me against his body. I was scared out of my mind. Does he want to rape me or kill me? I started to struggle in his grasp, pulling and kicking my way out. But his grip held firm. Then I felt a cold blade pressed against my throat.
“Now ye don’t want te be doing that lass. It’d be a shame te lose something so fine.”
I recognize that voice. I opened my eyes and starred into the eyes of my ex boyfriend, John. He slammed me hard against the brick wall with his hand still covering my mouth and his cutlass pressing even harder against my throat.
“Long time no see pet.”
“Apparently not long enough I’m afraid.” His eyes filled with hd and and in a fiery rage he slammed me against the wall again, leaning his body against mine, and pushing the sharp blade deep into my neck making blood trickle down. I winced in pain.
“Ye broke my heart and left me all alone fer 5 years.”
“Ah, I’m sorry. I wish I could have done more fer ye.”
John raised his arm and slapped me hard across my face. The slap echoed throughout the alley. “Bitch! Ye’re nothing but a good fer nothing wench that needs te be taught a lesson.”
“Well if ye find someone who fits the job description let me know.” I struggled to push John away from me but he was much stronger, and considering the fact the amount of blood I lost in my neck, I’m really weak and about ready to pass out.
“Let me finish what I started a long time ago.”
All of a sudden a surge of adrenaline ran through me and I ran towards John at full speed, pushing with all the strength I had left. John flew backwards and crashed into some crates behind him. I ran towards the end of the alley but there was no way out. Shit! A dead end. I frantically looked around to see if there was anywhere I could go or anything I could use to protect myself but there was none. I heard the sound of a pistol being cocked and as I turned around there was John standing right in front of me pressing the barrel of his pistol right against my forehead.
“Ye really shouldn’t have come back, pet. Now I’m going te kill ye.”
“And ye really don’t want te be doing that mate.” A deep voice said from behind.
“And who the hell are ye?” John looked around the alley still pointing his gun at my head but saw nothing.
A shadowy figure emerged from a dark corner, raised his arm and a loud gun shot screeched in the still air.
I closed my eyes expecting an enormous excruciating pain but there was nothing. I opened my eyes and saw John stare up at me, still holding his pistol up, then he rolled his eyes to the back of his head and fell to the ground dead.
I looked up to see who my rescuer was and saw him step out from the shadows pointing his pistol at John’s corpse with smoke coming from its barrel.
“I’m Captain Jack Sparrow!”
“Jack!” I barely whispered. Jack rushed up to me and caught my body as I passed out and fell into unconsciousness.
(Third Person)
Jack shoved his pistol into his belt, picked the girl up in his arms and carried her body out of the alley to the blacksmith’s shop. Jack kicked open the door and Will sprung up from his word and looked to see what the disturbance was. As soon as Will saw Jack his eyes grew wide with happiness.
“Jack! It’s good to see you. It certainly has been a long time since...” but as Will walked towards Jack his eyes fell onto the girl’s limp body drenched in blood in his arms. The smile quickly faded and was replaced with a worried shocked expression.
“Will, she’s badly injured. Please help me!” Jack pleaded Will with tears in his eyes. Will had never seen Jack look like that before.
“Of course. Here follow me. There’s a cot in my office. Put her there. I’ll be back with some cloth and water. You stay with her.”
“Hurry!” Jack shouted.
Will ran out of the room in search of some reasonable decent cloth and water to clean the girl’s wounds. Jack placed the girl onto the bed and squeezed her hand. Her upper body was covered with blood. Her neck had a deep gash from the cutlass slicing her but luckily the guy only got the side and not her full neck. Still, Jack felt she should be examined by a doctor to make sure she’ll be okay. Jack placed both of his hands onto hers and kissed them gently.
“Luv please don’t leave me. I don’t know what I’d do without ye. Ye’re different from any other woman I’ve ever met and ye make me feel emotions I never knew I could feel. Ye make me feel different and I like that. Ye’re very unique and no one can compare te ye. What I’m trying te say is that...that...” tears fell down Jack’s cheeks and sobs escaped his throat.
“I love ye luv. Please stay with me.”
(“Crazy For This Girl” by Evan & Jaron)
Would looklook at her she looks at me she’s got me thinking about her constantly but she don’t know how I feel. And as she carries on without a doubt I wonder if s fis figured out I’m crazy for this girl.
Chapter 6- Painful Memories
“John I don’t love ye! Why can’t ye understand that?” I sat on the bed crying from John slapping and hitting me constantly. My face is beat red, swollen, with streams of tears flowing down my face.
“If I can’t have ye, no one can.” John walked towards me wa loa look of pure evil in his eyes. He violently grabbed my arms and threw me against the wall. I cowered in fear as John inched his way closer. He raised his right leg high in the air and kicked me hard with such force in my stomach I got the wind knocked out of me. I screamed in pain and agony, begging him to stop but he wouldn’t.
I woke up feeling a massive pain in my stomach. My forehead was perspiring while I gasped for breath. Feeling as if I were suffocating, I cautiously lifted up my shirt to find a large bruise forming on my lower abdomen. Extreme amounts of heat and pain exerted from that spot as if I just received it. I picked up the pendant from my neck and noticed that it was radiating a deep crimson and slowly faded away to silver.
Jack came in through the door and rushed by my side.
“Luv ye’re awake!”
Wincing from the excruciating pain, “Am I?”
“Howye fye feel?”
“Like I’ve been slashed with a cutlass and a cannon ball fired right into me stomach. But other than that I’m jest peachy.” Showing Jack a fake smile.
Jack sighed relaxingly and stifled a laugh, “I’m not sure I saw any cannon balls flying around but I’ll keep a sharp eye. Let’s have a look at that neck of yers.” As Jack leaned in he put slight pressure on my stomach causing another wave of pain to shohrouhrough my body and a moan of agony escaped my mouth. “Oy what’s this?”
“A late Christmas gift from an ex. Happy holidays.”
Jacftedfted up my shirt and saw the enormous bruise on my stomach. To me, it looked oddly familiar.
“That certainly wasn’t there last time I checked.”
“Ye’ve been checking me out while I slept Jack?” I asked in a sexy suggestive tone winking at him.
“Aye, jest doing my civic duties.”
I snorted and laid back down on the cot, “Men.”
“Pirate,” Jack corrected winking.
He bent down to pip a p a large bottle of rum from the floor along with a couple of rags. He uncorked the bottle with his teeth and poured some of the amber liquid onto a rag. He spit the cork out of his mouth and placed the bottle in between his feet. I then realized what Jack was up to and bolted from the cot, ignoring the surge of pain running through my body.
“Uh oh. This is not good.” I nervously scanned the small room. There was really no where to go, but I had to try.
“Luv yer cuts need to be cleaned.”
“No they don’t! I don’t mind being dirty. Wait, that didn’t come out right.”
Jack smirked and walked towards me, “I’m going te clean them whether ye want me te or not.”
“Ye’re going te have te catch me first.” I dodged away from Jack and ran to the door but Jack beet me to it blockin exi exit. I glared and tried to run around him but he was to quick. He caught me before I could have a chance. He carried me to the bed and dropped me on my arse.
“Ooff.”
“Ye’re not making this easy luv.” Jack said panting.
“Why Jack, afraid of a little work?” I struggled to get back up but Jack pinned me down on the bed rather quickly and straddled on top of me. He pushed my head aside and wiped the rag agt myt my neck. I screamed as the hot burning liquid scorched and seeping into my gash.
“Gah! Bloody hell! That doesn’t feel like a good year.”
“Sorry luv. I left all of me best rum aboard on the Pearl.”
“Oh joy.” Tears were threatening to escape my eyes but I blinked them back. Unfortunately Jack saw and a look of concern swept over his visage. Careful not to put pressure on my stomach he bent down next to my face and gently blew a cool breeze of breath onto my neck. I closed mys ans and relaxed under his touch. Chills ran up and down my spine as Jack caressed my skin with his hands. Miraculously the pain subsided and all I could think about was Jack. He stopped blowing and starred into my eyes. How dare he stop!
“All done. That wasn’t so bad was it?”
I smiled, “No, not at all.”
At the same time I raised my head up and Jack leaned down and our lips emerged together. I wrapped my arms around his neck and deepened the kiss. Our tongues intertwined massaging each others. God Jack is a wonderful kisser. His kisses are literally breath taking. His moustache lightly bed aed against my skin causing me to giggle.
“Ticklish luv?”
“Aye, jest a little.”
A grin spread across his face while raising yebryebrow, “I should remember that later on and use it te my advantage.”
“That’s only if I give ye a second chance Jack. I’ll be keeping a sharp eye on ye.”
“I wouldn’t want it any other way luv. Now tell me of that guy who attacked ye in the alley.”
“Oh him,” sighing, “It’s another long story. Ye sure ye wanna know?”
“Aye luv. I’m all ears.” Jack climbed off of me and laid down on the bed with his head propped up by his aring ing on his side facing me.
Sighing again I sat up and placed my hands in my lap with my head bowed. “Five years ago, back when me father was alive, we came here te visit some old friends of his. I figured we would only be staying fer a day or so but apparently me papa had other plans and we stayed longer. I met this guy, John, who was around me age who said he wanted te get te know me more. Papa suggested that I stay with John while he roamed the streets asking people fer any news on treasure and such. At first John was real nice te me, but every night he would come home drunk and hit me fer the most stupidestsonssons or none at all. Each time he became more abusive and more violent. During the day I would try te cover up me bruises and cuts. People on the streets would ask me what happened so I told them I was jest being clumsy and accidentally cut meself or tripped.” Tears were flooding my eyes now. “I didn’t do anything te him te deservat kat kind of torture! One night when John came home he went totally insane and wouldn’t stop abusing me. He brought out one of his knives and started slicing me. Blood was spilling everywhere and there was nothing I could do about it. So the next morning when I had the strength I went out searching fer me father and left Port Royal with him. I haven’t seen him since and I’ve never told anyone about him, until now.”
Jack didn’t speak a word. He watched as I bowed my head on my knees and began to cry. I couldn’t hold it in any longer. Jack scooted closer to me and wrapped his arms ad med me in a loving embrace. I rested my head on his chest and continually sob as tears rolled down. Jack tightened the embrace and placed a kiss on my forehead rocking me gently back and forth. I cried until there was nothing left inside. Then I closed my eyes and listened to the beating of Jack’s heart. Its rhythmic beat was very calm and soothing that my crying had ceased and I was able to regain my composure.
After a few moments or cradling each other Will ruined the moment and barged in. I wiped away the tears from my eyes as Jack released me and stood up to greet Will. Bloody eunuch!
“Bloody whelp, don’t ye ever knock anymore?”
“Sorry Jack but I found something that might interest you two.”
“What is it?” I rose from the bed swinging my legs over the side sitting on the edge.
“I found this really old book in my closet and it mentions something about your pendant.”
“Let me see.”
Will plopped down on the bed next to me placing the old tattered tome onto his and and began to flip through the pages. The pages were torn and tinged with a crusty yellow color. They looked as if they would rip off if you touched them. The book has a musky odor to it, just like an old library smells.
“Ah, here it is.” Will placed his finger on the worn page containing a drawing of the pendant. “The All Seeing Eye is a mood time traveling pendant that was created during the first sighting of an eclipse in an ancient Aztec Empire. It has been around for nearly 100 centuries. It says here that the pendant acclimates itself to the wearer and activates when the individual is spiritually, ecumenically, and grammatically balanced. In other words, whenever you are going through a traumatic emotion it will transport you in time to whatever you were thinking.”
“Ye mean this little pendant can take ye anywhere in time ye want?!”
“In a matter of speaking Jack, yes.”
Jack whistled and paced around the corridor. “Has anything like that ever happened?”
“I don’t know. It doesn’t mention people and their experiences with it.”
I twirled the necklace in my hands while I listened to Will read the pamphlet.
“I have.”
Both Jack and Will turned around to stare at me wa loa look upon their faces as if they didn’t hear me correctly.
“I had an experience with the pendant. Well two actually.”
Jack and Will sat down on the bed while I stood up to keep a breathing distance as they listened intensively.
“Do you mind telling us what happened?” Will gave a pleading look for me to continue on with my story.
“Might as well since everyone is being so persistent.” I took in a deep breath before I continued.
“The first time it happened was while I was in me cabin back on the Black Pearl. I wasn’t sure if it was jest a mere illusion or real. I was really depressed about me father, how much I missed him, and how I longed to be with him jest for a moment. Then the next thing I knew I was back standing on the deck of me father’s ship with the crew running about. I could feel the wind in my hair and the ocean splash against the ship spraying me. I saw me papa standing jest a few feet in front of me shouting orders te the men. I knew it was him and that he was alive. I could see him clearly as I can see ye two right now. But as I ran towards him I was immediately thrown backwards and back into me cabin. I thought I fell asleep but I noticed I was slightly cold and wet with sea water.”
Will was deep in thought trying to sort out everything I just said while Jack stroked his beard and gazed out the door. Jack then looked up and turned his gaze towards me.
“That’s interesting luv. That’s very interesting.”
Will shook his head in disbelief and stood up. “It sounds to me like you were just having a dream about your father and woke up in a sweat. Maybe you’re coming down with something.”
Will is doing a real good job of ticking me off. “I am not sick! I didn’t dream it; it was real as you and me. And me sweat does not taste like sea water.”
“Whoa, calm down luv. No need te start biting the whelp’s head off, though he doesn’t seem te put it te good use.”
Will glared at Jack but Jack ignored him and placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder. “I believe ye luv. But what I don’t understand is how ye got that killer bruise on yer stomach.”
“Remember John, me ex boyfriend who ye managed te kill?”
“Aye.”
“Well whenever I fell into unconscious I was thinking about him and the pendant took me back ime ime 5 years ago. John used te... used te...”
“Go on luv.”
“He abused me! John would abuse me every chance he got, no questions asked. But at this particular incident I told John I was leaving him, that I never loved him, and that I couldn’t take the pain anymore. It was obvious John had been drunk and easily got enraged. He totally went psychotic and began beating me up with his fists, his cutlass, and he kicked me right in the stomach. That’s how I got the bruise and transported back here. I felt a surge of power run though my body while I was being transported.”
Will was shocked at what he heard and had no idea what I had gone through. Jack held me in a loving embrace and kissed my forehead. He whispered into my ear. “It’s alright luv. No more pain. It’s over.”
“I believe you.”
Jack and I turned to see Will step towards us with concern.
“But it sounds like these trips back in time are getting worse. More physical. We have to figure out a way to destroy the All Seeing Eye before one of your trips turns permanent and you can never return. It seems the pendant has been adjusting to your mood and emotions, so there’s no time to spare.”
“But Will how do we destroy it?”
Will scanned through the aged book once more.
“It says here that the pendant must be taken to an island in the Bermuda Triangle called Tushmetago where the bearer must give their blood and throw it into the volcano.”
“That’s it? Jest give the All Seeing Eye a few drops of blood, toss it into a fiery volcano and out the door we go. Sounds like a fun lil trip te me.” I boasted sarcastically.
“There’s gotta be a catch in there somewhere. It sounds too easy.”
“Nope, that’s all it says. Are you up for a little boat ride?”
“Will, ye bloody whelp, it’s not a boat it’s a ship. Me Pearl has feelings ye know?”
“Aye Jack. I’ll be nicer to your precious Pearl.”
“That’s more like it
“Let’s go already. I’m not waiting around fer tea and crumpets.” I put on my boots, grabbed my effects, and stormed out of the room.
“She’s a feisty one eh Jack?”
“Aye, ye gotta love the tiger in her.”
As Jack and Will were about to walk out of the blacksmith shop I came running in and frantically locked the door.
“Quick, run!”
“Luv what is it?”
“No time, just run!” I scurried off into the back of sho shop, picking up a cutlass or 2 on my way.
“What’s gotten into her?” Will unlocked the front door and began to open it.
“I think I know.” Jack stood motionless as the doorway revealed....
Chapter 7- The Chase is On
“I think I know.” Jack stood motionless as the doorway revealed Captain Jupiter! (Dun dun dun)
Captain Jupiter’s body was silhouetted in the doorframe with his bloodied sword drawn at his side. “Where is she?”
“Who?” Jack asked dumbfoundedly (That’s my very own word! I made a word! Boo ya to me! It’s my word and I’m keeping it! I don’t care if it’s not a word, it is now.)
“The girl! The girl with the pendant! Who do ye bloody well think who?!” Jupiter asked impatiently.
“Oh that girl. Does this pendant happen te be the All Seeing Eye?”
“Aye.”
“Is she the daughter of Captain Hawk?”
“Aye!” Jupiter growled. “Where is she!”
Jack placed his hand underneath his chin and shook his head. “Nope sorry. Never heard of her. But thanks fer stopping by.” Jack and Will began pushing Captain Jupiter out of the door when he swung his cutlass into the wood nearly missing Jack’s head by a few inches. Jack and Will both stopped dead in their tracks while Jack slowly turned to stare at the sword wide eyed, (the look he gave when Will threw the sword at the door to stop Jack from leaving. Hehe, I love Jack’s facial expressions!) then gazed back at Jupiter.
“The next time ye won’t be so lucky, mate.”
“Jupiter!”
All three men quickly spun around to see me standing in the middle of the shop, with my cutlass unsheathed and a determined look upon my visage.
“Yer quarrel ish meh me.”
Captain Jupiter pushed aside Will and Jack waltzing over to me.
“Ms. Hawk. Be a good lass and hand over the All Seeing Eye, or there’ll be hell te pay.”
“Never! Ye’re gonna hav kil kill me first.”
“That can be arranged!” Jupiter lunged forward thrusting his sword to my chest. I managed to jump out of his path in the nick of time blocking his blow with my cutlass.
Jack unsheathed his sword and started to join the fight when Will stopped him by grabbing his shoulder and pulled him back. “Let her go Jack. It’s her fight, not yours.”
“Fer once ye’re right Will, but we can’t jest stand here and watch her get hurt.”
“From the looks of things I think she has everything under control.” The two men watched as I battled with Jupiter. The metal of our cutlasses slashed together with clanging sounds echoing throughout the shop. Jupiter had backed me up onto a wooden ramp blocking my way. As I was searching for a clearing he knocked my cutlass out of my hand and took it in his other pointing both swords at me.
“Once again ye’ve managed te piss me off! And now ye have no weapon.” Jupiter was so naive.
I smiled mischievously, “Oh I’m jest getting ted.ted.” I leaped out into the air and grabbed onto a chain hanging from a pillar in the ceiling. I swung over Jupiter’s head, flipped in the air landing on my feet next to the fireplace and pulled out a red hot burning sword pointed at his face. “This is when I start te have fun!”
Jupiter and I continued our brawling while Will and Jack stepped outside to see if any one of Jupiter’s comrades decided to show. While Jupiter was distracted I took this opportune moment and sliced his stomach with the scorching blade. Jupiter screeched in pain. 10 points for me! Unfortunately, that only raged Captain Jupiter even more and he attacked with so much force and power I tripped over a few metal bars laying around and fell onto my back. Jupiter stepped over me looking down while I raised my sword to strike him. He fiercely grabbed my wrist to stop my action.
“Now ye don’t want te be doing that missy.”
“And why not?”
“We could be partners ye and I. I’ll split everything in half with ye. What do ye say?”
“Ye might try te kill me.”
“I’m not going te kill ye.”
“I said ye’d try.” With that said I spit in his face and hacked at his arm with my cutlass to release me. He jumped back cursing loudly as he clung to his bloody arm. I stood up in a defensive position ready to fight back if he were to attack again. I stared at Jupiter stagger while gripping to his His His hands were smeared with his blood. “Ah, he bleeds.”
“We both know all I need is jest te hit ye once. Jest one good hit and it’s over.”
“I’d like te see ye try.”
Before anything else was said or spoken Will charged in like a battering ram, grabbed me and we ran out of the blacksmith shop.
“Will what the hell are ye doing? I was going te finish off Captain Jupiter.”
Will panted heavily while running and trying to catch his breath at the same time. “No time. Port Royal’s under attack. We have to leave now!”
“Wait, where’s Jack?”
“He’s already at the ship, let’s go!”
Cannon balls were heard whizzing overhead. People were screaming and running in about in all directions. Fires blazed inside buildings while Spanish pirates tormented the port. I spotted Jack at the helm of the Pearl shouting orders to his crew. Will and I sprinted down the docks and onto the gangplank. Gibbs and Anamaria hoisted up the plank and hurried off to their duties.
“Glad ye could join us luv.” Jack smiled as I walked up to him huffing.
“Good te be here Captain. Anything I can do te assist?”
“Ye can start by cleaning yerself up a bit. Ye look like ye could use a touch up here and there with yer arms and clothes all covered with blood.”
“Actually I think I could start a new fashion trend, what do ye think?” I struck a pose with my arm up over my head and my other hand placed on my hip. Jack just stared at me as if I grew an extra head. “Then again maybe not. I guess I shall change into something more comfortable.” A grin spread across Jack’s face after I had said that and his eyes sparkled. I shook my head and came up to Jack so close that our bodies were touching. I leaned up and whispered in his ear. “I know what yer thinking and it’s never gonna happen. Never in yer wildest dreams.”
“Well then I’ll jest keep on dreaming. What say ye to that?” Jack winked at me suggestively.
I stepped away from him and started to walk away. “Ye’re a real charmer Captain Sparrow.”
“It’s a gift.”
Will appeared from the stairs and watched as I walked away. “Jack, you don’t have a chance.”
“Don’t worry whelp. She’ll be back. No woman can resist me charms.”
“Elizabeth did.”
“Ay ye had te go there.” Jack rolled his eyes and sighed deeply. “How is the ‘ol lass doing these days?”
“Oh I don’t know. After you left, Elizabeth fell in love with some baker, they ran off together and I haven’t heard from her since.”
“I’m sorry te hear that Will.”
“It’s all right. I suppose it wouldn’t have worked out anyways. Since I found out that my father was a pirate and it runs through my veins I can’t get enough of the sea. I feel that this is where I truly belonot aot at some fancy party with ignorant egotistical people.”
“Aye, live the life of a pirate. That’s what I always say. Worked fer me all me life and I don’t plan on trading it fer anything in the world.” Jack stood proud and stared off into the horizon.
“Nothing? Not even love?”
Jack was taken aback by Will’s question. He must admit he wasn’t entirely prepared for it. “Pirates can’t fall in love. There’s this unwritten code somewhere that all pirates must follow.”
“Since when does the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow follow orders other than his own? They’re more like guidelines anyways.”
Jack sadly shook his head. Will continued. “I can see it in your eyes. I know what love is. I have had my share of experiences with it and I can tell that you’re in love with Captain Hawk’s daughter. Don’t deny it.”
Jack was shocked at how much Will knew of him. Will knows more of Jack than he knows himself. He was about to say something when I stepped out of the cabin and joined the men at telm.elm. There was an odd silence when I came by. “Did I interrupt anything?”
Jack shook out of his trance and stared straight ahead of him. “Uh, no. Not at all luv. We should be arriving at the Bermuda Triangle in a few days.”
“Sounds great.”
Jack mumbled to himself, “Aye great, grand, wonderful.”
“I think I’ll go check on the sails.” Will scurried off and left me alone with Jack. I strolled over to stand next to him while I lifted the pendant from around my neck to examine it.
“It’szingzing how something so small and beautiful can cause so much trouble. Know what I mean Jack?” I looked up from the pendant to see Jack starring intensively at me.
“Aye luv.”
What I didn’t know was that Jack was referring to something else while I was talking about the pendant.
“Is something wrong Jack?”
“No, why would anything be wrong?”
“I don’t know Jack, why don’t ye tell me? Think about it.”
Jack quirked an eyebrow at me and looked away. “I don’t know.”
“Oh come on Jack, don’t play games with me. Ye’ve been acting all weird towards me ever since ye found out I’ve had the All Seeing Eye. Is that what this is about? Ye want te get rid of me and keep the pendant all te yerself is that it?”
Jack was shocked at my outburst. “No, of course not.”
“Then what the bloody hell is it?!”
For once Jack was speechless and I walked off in a furious manner.
*Third Person POV*
He wanted to tell her how he felt but he couldn’t find the right words to say. He wanted her to know how much he loved her, how he feels perfect being around her, and how she is unlike any other woman he has ever met. He has definitely thought about her being “the one,” and how he desires to be with her for the rest of his life. “I can see that.” Jack thought out loud. “She’s someone who I can see myself growing old with, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Meanwhile, as the three individuals were lost in their own little worlds, a mysterious ship seemed to be following them asafesafe distance behind so they won’t be detected.
Chapter 8 – Guess Who?
I came up from the stock room with the updated list of inventories while Anamaria walked up the stair case with me. “It’s yer turn te be lookout.”
I nodded and patted her on the shoulder, “Alright, ye get some rest now. I’ll see ye in the mornin’.” Ana smiled and stalked off to her cabin. I placed the note into my boot and climbed up the tall mast to the crows nest. I whipped out my telescope from my pocket to look out at sea. I looked in every direction but saw nothing. From this view it appeared as if the sea were swallowing up the sun bit by bit. The sky beheld various colors of dark orange, red, and pink. I watched as the last rays of the sun melted into the ocean and the firmament turned to a royal purple. A soft breeze swiftly blew through my hair with a scent of rum and salt water. The entire ship smelled like Jack. I closed my eyes breathing in deeply the sweet aroma. I remembered how my father and I use to stay up every night to watch the sun set. When the stars came out, Papa would teach me how to use them as a guide and showed me all of the different star constellations. I sighed and placed the telescope back into my pocket. I reached down for my pendant but realized I wasn’t wearing it. “Shit.” I frantically looked around the crows nest sifting through my clothes. “Shit! This is not good. What if it fell overboard? Oh bloody hell.”
As I continued my frantic search I heard someone climbing up the rope ladder. I turned around to see Jack swing his body over the rail and reach into his pocket. He pulled out my necklace and handed it to me. “Ye dropped this when ye stormed off earlier. I were only returning it.”
“Thanks Jack.” I began to reach for it but he pulled back.
“No, let me.” He came from behind me and clasped the pendant around my neck. I reached for the necklace feeling his calloused hands run over mine. I spun around facing him with out hands still entwined.
I bowed my head and whispered, “Jack, I’m sorry.”
Jack raised his eyebrow in a questioning look lifting my chin with his hand to stare me in my eyes. “Fer what luv?”
“Fer accusing ye of stealing my pendant and deing ing me. I shouldn’t have jumped to conclusions. I’m sorry fer what I said. I...”
Jack leaned forward and kissed me passionately on the lips. When he pulled away I was too stunned to say anything and I completely forgot everything. After a few silent minutes I managed to find my voice and choke out a few words. “What was that fer?”
“Luv? There’s something I want te tell ye.” Jack brushed his fingers across my hands and squeezed tightly.
“Go ahead Jack.”
Jack was about to let the words escape his mouth when all of a sudden the ship jerked alammlammed violently to the side causing me to fall on top of him.
A grin spread across his face and he snaked his arms around my waist. “Getting frisky aren’t we luv?”
“Jack it wasn’t me. It was the ship.”
The ship violently jerked again causing Jack and me to bump heads.
“Ow, bloody hell woman. Ye should warm a man before ye do that.”
“Hey, it was no picnic fer me either.” I stood up and scoped the area. I pulled out my telescope but saw nothing. “What do ye think it is?”
Jack climbed up standing next to me. “I don’t know.” Jack called down to the deck to anyone that was still awake. “Gibbs! What’s going on down there?”
“Whales Captain.”
My eyes grew wide sparkling like diamonds. “Whales Jack. Isn’t it amazing? Come on, let’s go!” I jumped down out of the crows nest and slide down the mast. I rushed over to the starboard side where Gibbs was standing. “Where are they Gibbs?”
Gibbs pointed straight ahead and I anxiously awaited for the beautiful creatures to show. I could hear them singing underwater. I leaned onto the rail and listened carefully. “That sounds a lot like...” A huge whale breached out of the sea spewing water from its spout. It crashed onto the water creating an enormous splash. Luckily Gibbs and I moved in time or else we would have been soaked. “Killer Whales! Aww they’re beautiful! Jack come here, ye’ve got te see this.”
Behind me I could hear a deep annoyed voice. “No, that’s quite alright. I think I’vd myd my share of whales.”
I moved my gaze and saw that Jack was completely drenched wither fer from head to toe. Jack looked like a drowned rat. I clasped my hand over my mouth to keep myself from laughing but I couldn’t resist. I bursted out laughing, along with Gibbs, and I fell to the deck holding in my stomach from laughing so hard.
Jack fumed and started walking to his cabin when Will appeared with a surprise look on his face. “Jack, what happened to...”
“Don’t say a bloody thing whelp. Not one bloody word.”
Will watched as Jack angrily stomped into his cabin, mumbling incoherent remarks about women, whales, and opportune moments, and slammed the door violently behind him. Will overheard laughing off in the distance and went to see what all had happened.
~~@ (I tried to make it look like a flower but apparently I’m incapable of creating computer art. Bloody hell)
I woke up the next morning feeling rather refreshed. I stretched out on my bed stifling a yawn or two. I looked around the cabin and saw that Anamaria’s bed was made and she was not present. I got up, dressed, and walked down to the galley for a little breakfast. Down in the galley I picked up a slice of bread, an apple, and a small mug of rum.
“Nothing like a gool pol pint of rum te start off the morning right, eh Will?” I joined Will at one of the empty tables in the corner of the room. Sat down and took a long swig from my mug sighing happily.
“Jack seemed pretty upset last night.”
“Aye, but he’ll get over it. Ye should have seen the look on his face. I couldn’t stop laughing fer hours.” A few chuckles floated out of my mouth and I wiped a tear from my eye. “Ah, good times.”
Will and I kept quiet for a few minutes just eating and drinking till most of the crew cleared out of the room. Then Will spoke up.
“I’m not sure I entirely understand the whole pet tht thing. Could you run it by me again?”
“I’ll give ye the shortened version of it. Me dad found this obviously at the island of Tushmatego in the Bermuda Triangle. It has powers te take ye in tte wte whatever yer thinking. Clearly Captain Jupiter wants its power and will stop at nothing te get it. He killed me father and now we must tat tet te the island, slit me palm, pour some blood onto the pendant, toss it into the volcano and be on our merry little way.”
“It all seems a bit too easy to have it work out that way for us.”
“What do ye mean?”
“I mean you just toss the necklace into a volcano and that’s it? It’s done? There has to be a catch in this somewhere.”
I was about to point out a correction to Will when he stopped me.
“Besides you having to shed your blood. I mean why does it have to be you?”
“Well, my father was the one who took it, Captain Jupiter killed him, and his blood runs through my veins...hmmm.” I pondered over this matter for a few seconds. “Just lucky I guess.” I smiled at Will and he just rolled his eyes.
“Right. Well, off to duties now.”
I took one last gulp of my rum and tossed the mug into the wash bin. I washed and rinsed off all of the dishes and cleaned up the tables. Once everything was put away I climbed up on deck to see what was next on my list of chores.

Captain Jupiter stood at the bow of his ship with his compass sitting in the palm of his hand watching as the dial turned. Footsteps approached him from behind as he continued to gaze at the turbulent sea.
“Captain Jupiter. We’ve reached the Bermuda Triangle. We shall arrive at Tushmatego in a few hours.”
Captain Jupiter nodded in response and waved off the messenger. He stared at his compass and an evil smirk slowly crept across his visage. “Right on schedule.” He slammed shut the compass and walked off to the helm.

I was diligently scrubbing the decks with a brush on my hands and knees when someone placed their hand on my shoulder squeezing lightly. I could feel them put pressure on me as the person knelt down beside me and whispered in my ear. “Ye missed a spot.” Then I felt a slight grab at my ass. I picked up a wet towel and threw it at who else but the ever so charming Captain Jack Sparrow. He chuckled and dodged just in time to miss the flying towel. “Ah, ye wanna play rough do ye?”
I stood up grabbing another wet towel, winding it up, preparing to strike. “Don’t tempt me Jack.”
He stood up as well and picked up the other towel I threw at him twirling it in his hands, “Now where be the fun in that?” Jack lashed the towel at my ass and I squeaked at the sudden shock.
“Oh now ye’ve done it.” I lunched forward thrashing the towel at Jack’s hip, sending a loud crack in the air. Jack’s face tightened and held on to his hip. I nodded my head in triumphant and started to walk away when loud footfalls were heard running towards me. I quickened my pace and glanced behind me to see Jack running at full speed towards me. I sprinted to his cabin, laughing, and quickly locked the door. While catching my breath I could hear Jack pound against the door and rattle the knob. I sat on his bed and enjoyed the show. A few minutes has passed and not a sound came from outside.
“Ha, the grand ‘ol captain must have forfeited.”
Suddenly the door to the bathroom slammed open and in walked the captain himself. He closed and locked the door behind him. “Not quite luv. I never turn down a challenge.”
My mouth gaped wide open as I sat in utter shock on the bed. Jack sexily sauntered over and winked at me suggestively. I maneuvered my leg in between his and ran my foot caressingly up and down his leg. He grabbed my feet and pulled off my boots. He dropped them onto the floor and moved next to the bed. Next Jack slide off his jacket and boots and placed them on the floor. He climbed on top of me and pushed me into the mattress. I ran my hands over his chest and drew my leg up, rubbing it against his. I smiled as Jack stroked my cheek.
“Now who’s the feisty one Jack?”
“It’s still ye luv.” Jack bent down running his fingers over my collarbone. He was about to kiss me when...
“Land ho!”
“Blo“Bloody hell! Inconceivable.”
“Sorry Captain. That’s how the cookie crumbles.”
Jack laughed climbing off of me helping me up. “Tushmatego here we come.”
Chapter 9 – Tushmatego
“Gibbs!”
“Aye Captain?”
“I want ye te take charge while I’m on the island, savvy?”
“Aye sir, whatwhat if the worse should happen?”
“Keep te the code.” Jack walked off down to the rowboats.
“Aye the code.”
I overheard Gibbs and Jack’s little conversation so I thought I would add my 2 shillings worth of knowledge. (Which in reality for me really isn’t much. It’s all hollow space with cob webs and a sign that says for Lease and echoes can be heard in my empty head and the poor excuse of knowledge that I DO have is not even worth a nickel. I’m so hard on myself, I know. It’s the pessimistic side of me talking. *Slaps head* Stop it! Stop it! All of you! Hehe, sorry I’ve been hanging around my history teacher a bit too long.)
“Gibbs? Ye do know that the codes are more like guidelines than actual rules?”
“Aye lass, but I still like te humor the ‘ol captain.”
I laughed rolling back my eyes patting Gibbs on the shoulder. “Jest make sure the Pearl is in one piece when we return, savvy?”
“No worries lass.”
I caught up with Will and Ana downthe the rowboats but I couldn’t find a certain Sparrow.
“Where be Jack?” I asked while scanning the deck. “I thought I saw him come down here.”
“He said he forgot his compass and a few other ‘essentials.’” Ana shook her head in frustration.
“Well I’m not planning on waiting around all day so let’s jest get going and he can catch up.”
We all started to climb into the boat when I could hear the loud, familiar pounding of footsteps head in my direction. I twirled around wiy ary arms folded across my chest and an irritated look occupying my face. I tried so hard not to smile but just watching Jack promenade his way over makes me want to fall into hysteria.
“Ye starting the fun without the main attraction?”
I shook my head trying extremely hard not to break my concentration on being impatient with him. “Took ye long enough o mighty Captain.” Jack smiled when I emphasized his title. “We couldn’t well have an adventure without the entertainment now could we?”
“Of course not luv. Ye would be lost without me.” He stated standing very tall and proud grabbing the collar of his shirt. Then he added matter of factually (right word choice? I dunno), “Or else ye would die of utter boredom.”
I sighed rolling back my eyes, “What would we ever do without ye? C’mon. The sooner we get rid of this pendant the sooner we can celebrate.” I grabbed hold onto the rope and hoisted myself into the boat. Jack followed suit.
“I’m liking the sound of that luv.”
“I knew ye would. Have everything ye need Jack?”
“Not quite.” He pulled on my breeches and sat me on top of his lap wrapping his arms around my waist. “Now I’ve got everything I need.”
I grinned at Jack and kissed him lightly on the nose. “Good.” I shouted up on the deck, “Men, take us down.” The crew hurried to the ropes and lowered our boat onto the water. Will and I grabbedore ore and started rowing towards the island.
~~@
“Ow!” Will yelped in pain as he placed his hands on his lower back.
“What’s wrong Will?” Ana asked with a look of concern and worry.
Will winced as he sat up straight, “It’s my back. I think I pulled something.”
“Aw ye bloody whelp! Here, I’ll take over fer ye.” Jack and Will switched places on the boat and Jack began to row along with me. Will laid down on Ana’s lap while she ran her fingers though his hair. She looked up at me as I winked at her. She just smiled and continued to pamper poor Will.
“Almost there mates. Jest a few more minutes.” Jack huffed in between breaths.
“Good. I jest hope me arms can last that long.” Ana offered to help but I told her that I was fine and pointed out how she already had her hands full since Will fell asleep in her lap.
When we reached the shore I hopped out of the boat stretching before I held on to one of its sides and pulled it more onto the sand.
“Finally.” Jack jumped out of the boat with Anamaria and Will lagging behind.
“C’mon ye lazy scallywags. Shake things along and let’s go.” I started to walk up the coast when the ground started to shake. Rumbling sounds echoed the area.
“Luv, tell me that was yer stomach.”
“Sorry Jack, that wasn’t me.” The ground finally stopped quaking and everything became silent. Ana helped support Will as they walked up to join us but he reassured her that he was able to walk so she let him go.
“The volcano must be getting active. We have to hurry. There’s no time as to tell when it’s going to erupt.”
I rolled my eyes throwing my hands high into the air, “Well that’s jest peachy! Why don’t we add a cut throat band of evil pirates chasing us while we’re at it?!”
“I think ye’ve jest got yer wish luv.” Jack pointed out a horde of pirates crashing their way onto the island, running with their weapons at hand shouting threats as they climb out of their boats.
“Shit! This is not good. Will, can ye manage te walk or...Will?” As I turned he and Ana were already running deeper into the dense forest.
“I think he can manage. C’mon luv let’s move!” Jack grabbed onto my wrist pulling me through the brush. From a distant behind we could hear the pirates cursing and the slashing of their blades cutting through the shrubs that blocked their path as we quickened our pace. Will and Ana were nowhere to be seen but out of the corner of my eye I caught a glimpse of an ancient ruin.
“Jack stop.”
“What? What is it?” I pried myself from Jack’s death grip walking towards the structure. “Luv, this is no time fer a bloody tour. We have te go!”
“I think this is the entrance te the volcano.” I continued to survey the building as I stepped inside.
“How can ye be sure?” The ground began to quake again even harder sending a few boulders crashing to the surface. “Alright I’m going, I’m going.” Jack ran inside the structure’s entrance and was greeted by complete darkness. “Luv where are ye?” He rubbed his hands to the sides until he touched something very soft. “Ah I knew I would find ye pet. Mmmm, yer skin feels incredibly soft. Mmmm.”
“Jack? I’m over here.” He saw me standing at the opposite wall of him with a lit torch in my hand. Jack closed his eyes and made a disgusted look. He slowly turned to find he was holding onto a hairy tarantula. His eyes widened and immediately dropped it shaking his hands widely about rubbing them on his attire. After Jack’s hilarious spider dance he regained his composure and followed me into the temple. “Well, I’m feeling rather good about this.” I couldn’t help but laugh at Jack’s comme
“Where do ye suppose Will and Ana are?”
“I don’t know, but I’m sure the whelp’s either lost or caught knowing him.” Jack sniffs the air and makes an abhorrent face. ‘Eh, what’s that smell? Smells kindof like Gibbs after he’s had some of Ana’s homemade soup.”
“We must be getting closer te the volcano. C’mon, this way.” I turned a corner to find it leads to a wide-open chamber filled with miraculously beautiful treasures from around the world. The whole cove seemed to glisten with gold and sparkling jewels. Daunting laughter was heard saw saw the debauchery Captain Jupiter with a few of his faithful handed crewmembers holding Will and Ana hostage.
“MissMiss Hawk. Long time no see.”
“Apparently not long enough,” I retorted motioning Jack towards Will and Ana.
Jupiter tsked shaking his head, “Now none of that. Lets cut te the chase now shall we? Either ye be a good lass, hand over the pendant or we’ll slit yer friends’ throats and toss them into the fiery depths.”
“Oh by all means kill the whelp and Ana.” Ana and Will’s mouths fell with shocked expressions. “Ye jest have te wait fer the opportune moment.” While I was discoursing with Jupiter, distracting was more the precise term, Jack sneaked around the absent minded crew and undid the bounds around Will and Ana.
“And when, pray tell, might that be my dear?”
A mischievous grin spread across my visage as I slowly reached for my cutlass. “Right...now.” At once Ana kicked one of Jupiter’s unsuspecting crewmembers in the arse sending him over the rock’s edge into the molten lava. Jack, Will, and Ana were each paired off with someone to combat with while I was left alone with Captain Jupiter. He brought out his sword and we battled. He lunched forward but I managed to dodge and block his blows. “Parry, parry, thrust, thrust, good.” Jupiter became furious with me and kept attacking with a much stronger vengeance. I spun around to see that Ana had already killed off her opponent and is now helping Will while Jack conts tos to dash about the cove trying to outrun his adversary. Jupiter caught me off guard by slashing at my arm. I tumbled backwards onto the ground but stood my ground. I ignored the excruciating pain in my arm and braced myself. Jupiter thrust his sword forward but I countered attacked, swatting his sword to the ground with mine on top of his. “Lookie lookie I got hookie.”
I smiled in triumph but failed to notice the dagger he pulled out. Jack screamed at the top of his lungs as Jupiter was about to strike, “Luv, watch out!” I closed my eyes, preparing for the worst when I felt a rush of energy run through my body as if I was being thrown across the sky.
“Oh god, this is it. I’m dead. He killed me.” I opened my eyes and saw myself standing at the stern of the ship with my father staring out in the stars. He looked down coming fac fac face with me smiling.
“Papa?”
“My little pirate.”
~~@ (Back to the Volcano)
Jupiter could not believe his eyes. The All Seeing Eye glowed a luminous yellow around the girl’s neck and in a blink of an eye she disappeared. “I don’t believe it.”
Jack whispered into Will’s ear, “That’s gonna be one hell of a trip.”
“I’ll say,” agreed Will.
“Uh, sorry te ruin yer lil moment but what are we gonna do with ‘ol pot belly here?”
“Well there isn’t much we can do about ye Ana.” Ana glared evilly while Jack let out a few hearty chuckles. You could tell he really enjoyed that remark.
“Jack! Now’s not the time fer jokes.”
“Ye’re right Will, sorry. Why don’t we have a lil fun with him, savvy?”
“Way ahead of ye Jack.” Ana rushed over to start fighting Jupiter while Jack and Will sat amongst the treasure speculating the action.
“Ye know whelp, I think Ana’s got it pretty much covered. We should let her take care of him till luv gets back.”
Will stretched out on the gold pile placing his hands behind his head, “Ah yeah, that sounds good.”
“Now get up and help me carry out some of this treasure.”
“Jack? I can’t believe you. Of all the times all you can think about is your bloody treasure.”
“I’m a pirate, whelp. Get use te it.”
~~@ (Back to me!)
“Papa? Is this real?”
“It is a crossing, between our past and present.”
“Why didn’t ye tel abo about the All Seeing Eye?”
“Ye were jest a child.”
“Ye could have written it in yer journals or something but ye didn’t. Not one.”
“I’m sorry I had te place this terrible burden on yer shoulders, but ye must destroy the pendant. Ye’re the only one who can.”
“But why me? Why does the pendant have to be destroyed?”
“Because it is a threat te the world if it fell into the wrong hands. My soul lives in ye. My blood runs through yer veins. So ye must give yer blood and destroy it before it is too late.”
“It’s notr. Tr. Time was stolen from us.” Tears began welding up in my eyes streaming down my face.
“Aye but ye have stolen time itself. Ye must give it back.”
“Why? Why can’t we use the power jest this once?”
“Ye can’t change the past.”
“But I miss ye Papa.”
“And I have missed ye, but ye must remember that I’ll always be with ye, jest as I’ve always have been.”
“I love ye Papa.” More tears streamed down my face as I stared up y fay father.
“I love ye too, my little pirate.” We both then reached out for each other. When our hands finally touched, light illuminated from them causing another jolt of energy to blaze through my body, sending me across the sands of time back to the volcano’s lair.
Chapter 10 – Time to Go
It felt like I was violently being pushed back into my time and thrown into the lair. It happened all so quickly. I crashed into Jack, who was busy shoving gold and jewels into his pockets, toppling onto the ground. I sat up rubbing the back of my head. “Oww, what a trip. That’s going te leave a mark. Good thing I landed on something soft.”
“Glad te help ye out luv. Now could ye get off of me?”
“Oh Jack, I’m so sorry.” I quickly rose off of Jack brushing myself off. Jack gathered himself up holding a small golden statue examining it.
“Tis all right. No harm done.”
I glared narrowing my eyes at him, “Oh! Well, don’t worry about me, I’m jest fine and dandy thanks fer askin!” I looked around the eerie room listening te roe roaring fire. “Where is everyone?” Jack shrugged his shoulders and continued to search the valuables scattered about the ground. “It’s quiet. Too quiet.”
A shadowy figure lurked among the shadows, waiting. On the floor I noticed a small pool of blood and a trail leading away from it. I followed the bloody path only to find another small pool of blood seeping into the cracks of the floor. I looked up facing a solid wall. “That’s interesting.” I noted the rustlsounsound of coins had ceased so I turned to where I assumed Jack would be and found no one. “Jack?” I spun around looking in all directions. “Jack where are ye? C’mon this isn’t funny.” A few rocks tumbled to the floor and approaching feet were heard. “Jack?” I moved closer to the shadowy figure.
“No one in here but us pirates.” A razor-sharp dagzoomzoomed by and struck the wall behind me, barely missing my head.
I pulled out the dagger along with my cutlass preparing to battle. “Are ye trying te make a point?”
~~@
“Jack c’mon. Put the treasure in the boat and let’s go.” Ana was already sitting in the row boat with oars at hand. Will placed the remaining treasure onto the seat and climbed in.
“No Will. This doesn’t feel right. We have te go back.”
“Jack, she fell behind. You even said to keep to the code.” Jack frowned bowing his head. Will was right. He had said that, but this was different. That girl is different and Jack knew that deep down she was his match and that there is nothing or anyone that could take her place. “Jack?” Will glanced back at Ana who shrugged her shoulders while shaking her head in an ‘I don’t know’ fashion.
Jack looked up with a determined face and turned back to the forest. “Will I can’t jest let her die. I love her.”
A delighted smile spread across both Ana’s and Will’s faces as they began to climb out of the boat. “That’s what we were hoping fer.”
“Huh?” Jack was utterly confused and didn’t have the slightest clue what Ana was talking about. She stepped onto the sand and walked next to Jack.
“We knew ye both had feelings fer each other. We were jest waiting fer ye te actually come out and say it.”
Jack’s eyes lit up and his smile broadened, “Ye mean she loves me too?” Will and Ana nodded in unison. If it was even possible Jack’s smile grew more enormously than before shouting at the top of his lungs leaping ever for joy and excitement.
Will stepped up to Jack’s jumping form and tried to calm him down, “Then what are you waiting for?”
Jack stopped jumping up and down and looked at Will’s face, “Jest fer the opportune moment, mate.” Will pushed Jack towards the woods while Jack ran at full speed towards the temple.
Will trotted down to the row boat where Ana was propped up against. “I khe lhe loved her.”
Ana rolled her eyes, “Uh huh, sure ye did.”
Will sauntered over to Ana wrapping his arms around her waist pulling her close to him. “That’s right. And you wanna know something else?”
“What’s that?”
“I think I love you.”
Ana couldn’t believe her ears. She shook her head in confusion staring back at Will. “I’m not sure I caught that, mate. Say it again.”
Will smiled pulling Ana even closer to him, “I love you.” He leaned in to her, brushing his lips against hers. She wrapped her arms around his neck and emerged their lips together.
~~@
Jack ran through the brush as fast as he could. Branches and leaves smacked against his face but he didn’t care. All he cared about was the woman he loves. He swiped at the attacking trees with the sharp blade of his cutlass, clearing a path for himself. Sweat mixed with blood slowly dripped down his forehead and his arms. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the temple. A small smirk appeared on his face. He wiped the perspiration off of his head bed began walking towards the entrance of the temple. Clanging of swords, loud curses, and yelling could be heard echoing through the temple. “Don’t worry luv. I’m on my way!” Before Jack ran into the entrance he drew his cutlass at his side and shuddered at the mere thought of that spider from last time he wn thn there. “Well, here goes nothing.” Jack raised his cutlass in front of him, bolting inside.
~~@
“Ye stupid whore! Why don’t ye make this easier on yerself and surrender?”
“And ruin all the fun? Never!” I thrust my cutlass forward, near his chest, but he blocked my blow. I took the liberty of slicing his arm before he couetaletaliate.
“Ah!” Jupiter grabbed at his bleeding arm squeezing it tight. His gaze rose upon me as I stood poised to strike, my face full of determination. “Ye’re goin te pay fer that!”
“I’d like te see ye try.”
Anger overpowered Jupiter that he attacked with such a vengeance that his face reddened and his eyes grew immensely I swear they were going to bulge out and explode. He thrashed his sword against mine as I inched myself further away from him. A mischievous smile crept on his face. “What are ye smiling about?”
“This!” Jupiter swung his sword near my chest but I managed to dodge it. However, I didn’t react quickly enough and Jupiter charged towards me, ramming into me as I lost my balance and fell over the volcano’s side. Jupiter stood up gasping for breath as a triumphant grin arose while he laughed sinisterly.
Jack stood in the doorway of the lair staring at the rock’s edge where Jupiter now stood in utter shock. A single tear rolled down Jack’s cheek but was quickly replaced with anger. “Ye bastard!”
Jupiter turned to the new voice as his smile changed to a serious expression while he walked up to him. “Ye dare challenge me, mate?”
“Son, I’m Captain Jack Sparrow, savvy?”
“Ah, well I won’t be making that mistake, again.” Jupiter drew his bloodied sword and attacked.k ank and Jupiter were in a fiery battle. Sparks flew when the swords came in contact creating flashes of light that danced acrohe whe walls.
Out of the corner of Jack’s eye out on the rock’s edge he thought he saw a hand appear. He shook his head in confusion and pushed Jupiter away from him into one of the walls. Jack turned to the fiery edge and he indeed saw a hand, her hand, then her arm reached out and grasped onto the ledge. His heart skipped a beat and rose with such enthusiasm that he completely forgot about Jupiter. Jupiter ran towards Jack screaming with rampage and smacked him against the head with the tang of his sword. Jack groaned in pain rolling down on the floor. His vision was slightly blurred but he was still able to see shapes. I caught a glimpse of Jupiter hovering over Jack’s body like a vulture ready to pounce on him at any given moment. I collected my strength and managed to pull myself up onto the ledge. I picked up my cutlass and ran towards him at full speed.
Jupiter suddenly spun around holding a pistol right at my chest. I stoppead iad in my tracks, tossing the cutlass to the ground. Jupiter laughed evilly, smiling wickedly. “Ah, Miss Hawk, yer fiery spirit never ceases to amaze me, but unfortunately fer ye I’ll be havin te kill ye off meself.” All while Jupiter talked he kept backing me up to the rocky edge where the flaming hot lava occupied. “It’s a shame really te lose something so fine.” Jupiter sighed. “So I’ll be having that pendant back before ye go.” Jupiter outstretched his filthy open palm but I clasped my hand around the pendant taking another step back before I felt where the rock’s edge was.
Jack moaned as he slowly sat himself up, rubbing the back of his head. He blinked his eyes a couple of times to see Captain Jupiter threatening his lass over the ledge. He looked up to see the girl hold onto the pendant, breathing in deeply, and opening her eyes with a determined look.
Once I opened my eyes I could see Jack standing up, looking straight at me. I slightly nodded my head, so he would only notice. A small grin appeared on his visage. I knew that everything will be all right.
“No.”
“What was that lass?”
I gripped the pendant tighter then dropped it upon my ample bosom. (I’m sorry Angie I couldn’t resist. I love those 2 words so much I wanted to use them. Hehe.) “I said no.”
Jupiter’s face drooped into a frown as anger quickly filled his eyes with his eyebrows furrowed inward. He raised his sword to his chest. Pointing the tip of the blade at my bosom where the pendant laid. He narrowed his eyes at me and slowly advanced. “Then it’s time to go, poppet.”
Jupiter charged with full force racing towards me. Jack’s eyes grew wide with terror when I didn’t move. His hands started to shake as his nerves took control. His face showed worry and his eyes were pleading for me to move.
“This is for you Papa.” Right when Jupiter’s sword was merely centimeters away from my chest I jumped backwards off of the ledge and grabbed on to a few jutted rocks, praying that they would hold my weight. At that second Jupiter realized what I had done and his visage filled with terror as he ran off the rocky edge. Everything seemed to be going in slow motion as I watched my life flash before my eyes. The last image I saw was Jack and I never let that go.
Jack finally came back to reality and shook out of hisnce.nce. He ran at full speed to the cliff and stopped right at the edge. He knelt down to peer over but at first he saw nothing. Then he could hear struggling noises and looked directly below him. I was hanging onto the rock wall as Jupiter clung to my legs for dear life.
“If I go down lass ye’re coming with me.” Tears spurted from my eyes as I was beginning to lose my grip.
“Luv! Grab my hand.”
I abruptly looked up seeing Jack leaning over the side stretching out his hand for me to reach. “Jack!” I lowered suddenly as Jupiter began to climb up my body. “All this extra weight is really not good fer me.”
“I think you should shed off a few pounds then luv.”
I kicked as hard as I could right in Jupiter’s pathetic excuse for manhood. Jupiter screamed and finally let go of me. I gripped tighter to the wall as I watched Captain Jupiter plummet to the scorching hot lava.
Jack outstretched his hand again which I gladly accepted. He hoisted me up and placed me gently on the ground. “Well, that certainly was the easiest diet I’ve ever been on.” Jack chuckled and hugged me tight.
He then pulled away and pointed to my necklace, “I think it’s time luv.”
I smiled as I unclasped the pendant from around my neck placing it in the palm of my hand staring at it. “Aye, it’s definitely time.” I threw the necklace into the pit of the volcano and watched as fincomncompassed it and sink to the bottom. The ground shook violently as the volcano roared with bursts of flames shooting from it.
“Time te go luv.”
Jack grabbed my hand as we quickly ran out of the cavern. As we ran through the halls of the temple we could feel the heat from the molten lava right behind us. We bolted out of the temple’s entrance running as fast as our legs could carry us through the forest.
We reached the beach but the rowboat (Word accepted that as two words or one so I dunno. I put whatever works or I was just to last to add a space in between it) was no where in site. “What do we do now Jack?” I gasped for breath as Jack scanned the shore frantically.
He smiled triumphantly as he spotted the Pearl appear next to a cliff on the side of the island not too far where we were.
“C’mon luv, we have te run fer it.”
“No kidding.”
Once again he grabbed my wrist and pulled me towards the cliff. Trees were aflame now as the hot magma oozed across the land. We scaled the cliff and stopped when we reached the top. Jack and I were both gasping for breath as we peered over the cliff down to the floating vessel.
“Just like old times eh?”
“Oh yes. Well Captain, it looks like we’re out of ideas so...” I slowly turned around and started walking away when he suddenly grabbed onto my arm and raced up the cliff.
“Not quite luv.”
At that moment we leaped off the cliff as fire and lava licked the ground we were once standing on. As we fell I gripped tighter to Jack’s hand before we splashed into the ocean.
I reached for the surface breathing in deeply while I managed to choke out some water. “Jack? Jack where are ye? Jack?” I looked around but all I saw was water. All of a sudden I felt something brush against my legs and I was forcibly pulled underneath. I kicked and punched whatever it was holding me down but since my eyes were closed I couldn’t see a damn thing. Finally, whatever it was, finally let me go and I was able to resurface. Once I wiped my eyes and chocked up some water I opened them to see Jack smiling like a cashier cat at me.
“Now that wasn’t very nice Jack.”
“I’m sorry luv. Couldn’t resist.”
My smile turned to a frown as I recalled Jack had left me alone with Captain Jupiter, “Jack, why did ye come back?”
“Well I came te rescue ye luv, but when I got there ye appeared te have everything under control.”
“But why did ye stay? Why would ye risk yer life fer me?”
“Well, me ship likes ye. And I love ye.”
I swore my heart stopped beating when he said that. My mouth dropped and my eyes grew wide with shock. ‘Jack loves me? The Captain Jack Sparrow loves me?!’ My eyes started to swell up as tears threatened to pour.
“Luv what’s wrong?”
I wiped away my tears smiling broadly at him, “I love ye too Jack. So much.”
His eyes grew wide and his grin turned to a huge ass smile spreading from ear to ear. He pulled me close, embracing me with his arms fully wrapped around my body and emerged his lips onto mine in an entrancing passionate kiss that literally took my breath away.
“Oy Captain? Lass? Are ye all right?”
Jack and I finally parted from that mind blowing kiss and just stared into each other’s eyes smiling. Jack stroked my cheek (face cheek you pervs!) while I pushed his hair behind his ears and twirled his beads in between my fingers.
“Captain?”
“Aye Gibbs we be fine. Drop us a rope, would ye?”
“Aye sir.”
Jack and I swam towards the side of the ship to where the rope that Gibbs had thrown was dangling. I grabbed onto the rope along with Jack and in no time we were hoisted onto the deck of the Pearl sailing far away from the scorched island that was now covered in flames and molten lava. All the crew gathered round along with Will and Ana walking hand in hand smiling. “Jack!” Will shouted over the cheers of the crew, “Good to see you both together and alive.”
Jack crossed his arms over his chest and steadily walked towards Will with a serious look, but secretly he was having trouble keeping frmilimiling. “Where were ye whelp?”
“Ummm,” Will rubbed his thumbs over Ana’s knuckles smiling at her, “Got a little sidetracked.”
“Ah, so I see.” Will released Ana as he gave Jack a hearty hug along with a few pats on the back.
“Good to have you aboard Jack. It just wouldn’t be the same without you.”
“Course not Will. That’s why I’m Captain Jack Sparrow, savvy?”
I walked up to Anamaria giving her a big hug. “What happened te ye?”
“Will and I have decided te grow our relationship!”
“Really? That’s great Ana. I’m so happy fer ye.”
“Thanks mate. I’m so glad that ye’re here.” Ana broke the friendly embrace smirking while she tilted her head at me. I looked at her in utter confusion.
“What?”
“Ye know what. I saw ye and Jack in that passionate lip lock down there.” I began to redden in the face as I started to realize that the Pearl was not too far off when we jumped into the water. I wonder if anyone else had noticed. Well I’m sure I’ll be hearing all about it later I suppose. “Well?” I snapped back to reality as Ana kept staring at me waiting for a response. I must have zoned out while she kept talking to me.
“I’m sorry, what Ana?”
She sighed irritated but asked again, “Have ye told Jack how ye feel about him?” She waited excitedly for my response.
“Aye, I told him that I loved him.”
“And?!”
“He said that he loves me too.”
Ana screamed with happiness giving me another death like grip hug. I tapped her on shoushoulder, “Ana? Ana! Can’t breath.”
“Oh sorry mate.” She let me go and I clutched my chest breathing in deeply the sweet smelling air.
“That’s all right.”
“I’m jest so happy fer ye! We’ll have te celebrate. But first, I better go see what my man is up te.” She hurriedly ran off into the crowd looking for Will as I watched her disappear.
I turned around to come literally face to face with my devilishly handsome Jack. He snaked his hands around my waist pulling me all the way up against him. He smiled as I placed my hands upon his wet muscular chest tracing circles. “What was all that about?”
“Jest a lil girl talk Jack, no biggie. Is something wrong?”
“Not a thing luv. I’m happy te report that yer lil pendant curse has been lifted and we are free te do whatever we please.”
I licked my lips as I ran my fingers lightly up and down his chest. “Well I can definitely come up with a few things that I would like te do.”
Jack became excited and raised his eyebrows in a suggestive way, “And what type of things are ye thinking about luv?”
“Anything that has ye in it. I love ye Jack and I don’t ever want te lose ye.”
“I wouldn’t have it any other way luv.”
Jack bent down and enveloped me in another vehement kiss with our tongues thrashing against one another and tiny moans of pleasure escaped Jack’s throat.
“God I love ye.” I smiled broadly as I placed my hand on the back of his head and pushed him down to deepen the kiss. Jack ran his hands up and down my back sending chills up my spine.
Someone cleared their throat and we abruptly turned to see who it was. Practically the whole crew was standing around watching the intense scene take place. I hid my face behind Jack’s shoulder so that no one could see it turn beet red. I was so embarrassed, but Jack didn’t seem to show any sign of it. In fact, he was damned pleased.
“What are ye all staring at? Haven’t ye seen a man kiss the woman he loves? Get back te work ye scabrous dogs before I make ye walk the plank!” All of the crew members leaped out of the way and ran to do their duties, all except Gibbs, Ana, and Will. ‘What are ye still doing standing there?”
Gibbs spoke first, “We’re waiting fer ye te give the orders of where te go next.”
Jack shrugged his shoulders and turned to me, “Let’s ask me soon te be wife where she wants te go.”
My mouth dropped in utter shock. ‘Did I jest heard what I think I heard?! Jack wants te marry me?!’ My heart skipped a thousand beats as I saw Jack’s eyes glisten and his smile widened from ear to ear. “Well luv, what do ye say?”
“I say te wherever the wind may take us!”
Everyone smiled happily as they all finally left Jack and me alone. He picked me up in his arms and twirled us around so fast everything seemed like a blur. Finally he stopped and placed me back onto the deck. Jack held my hands tightly in his as he bent down on one knee. ‘Oh my god I cannot believe this is happening.’
“Luv? We’ve been through it all together and ye have never left me side. And I want ye te always be there at me side forever. Ye complete me. We are a perfect match and well, what I’m trying te say is....Will ye marry me?”
Tears of joy began to fill my eyes and I couldn’t stop them from overflowing. Jack patiently waited for my response. “Yes! Yes Jack I will marry ye.”
Jack jumped up and grabbed me in his arms spinning wildly about the deck. He wrapped his arms under my legs and carried me to the Captain’s Quarters. “Well, now that that’s settled. Let’s work on those things ye said ye wanted te do with me.”
“Jack, ye are so full of yerself.”
“Aye, but I’m Captain Jack Sparrow, savvy?”
“Savvy. And I am Mrs. Captain Jack Sparrow. Now bring us that horizon.”

“Into the West” Annie Lennox (LOTR)
Lay down
Your sweet and weary head
The night is falling
You have come to journey’s end
Sleep now
And dream of the ones who came before
They are calling
From across the distant shore
Why do you weep?
What are these tears upon your face?
Soon youl sel see
All of your fears will pass away
Safe in my arms
You’re only sleeping
What can you see
On the horizon?
Why do the white gulls call?
Across the sea
A pale moon rises
The ships have come to carry you home
And all will turn
To silver glass
A light on the water
All Souls pass
Hope fades
Into the world of night
Through shadows falling
Out of memory and time
Don’t say
We have come now to journey’s end
White shores are calling
You and I will meet again
And you’ll be here in my arms
Just sleeping
What can you see
On the horizon?
Why do the white gulls call?
Across the sea
A pale moon rises
The ships have come to carry you home
And all will turn
To silver glass
A light on the water
Grey ships pass
Into the West

“A Pirate’s Life for Me (Yo Ho)” Disney
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.
We pillage plunder, we rifle and loot.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.
We extort and pilfer, we filch and sack.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
Maraud and embezzle and even highjack.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.
We kindle and char and in flame and ignite.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
We burn up the city, we're really a fright.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
We're rascals and scoundrels, we're villians and knaves.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
We're devils and black sheep, we're really bad eggs.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
We're beggars and blighters and ne'er do-well cads,
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
Aye, but we're loved by our mommies and dads,
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.

“Into the West” Annie Lennox (LOTR)
Lay down
Your sweet and weary head
The night is falling
You have come to journey’s end
Sleep now
And dream of the ones who came before
They are calling
From across the distant shore
Why do you weep?
What are these tears upon your face?
Soon youl sel see
All of your fears will pass away
Safe in my arms
You’re only sleeping
What can you see
On the horizon?
Why do the white gulls call?
Across the sea
A pale moon rises
The ships have come to carry you home
And all will turn
To silver glass
A light on the water
All Souls pass
Hope fades
Into the world of night
Through shadows falling
Out of memory and time
Don’t say
We have come now to journey’s end
White shores are calling
You and I will meet again
And you’ll be here in my arms
Just sleeping
What can you see
On the horizon?
Why do the white gulls call?
Across the sea
A pale moon rises
The ships have come to carry you home
And all will turn
To silver glass
A light on the water
Grey ships pass
Into the West

“True To Your Heart” 98 Degrees
Baby, I knew at once
That you were meant for me
Deep in my soul I know
That I’m your destiny
Though you’re unsure
Why fight the tide
Don’t think so much
Let your heart decide
Baby, I see your future
And it’s tied to mine
I look in your eyes
And see you searching for a sign
But you’ll never fall
‘Til you let go
Don’t be scared
Of what you don’t know
True to your heart
You must be true to your heart
That’s when the heavens will part
And baby, showeu wiu with my love
Open your eyes
Your heart can tell you no lies
And when you’re true to your heart
I know it’s gonna lead you straight to me
(Got to be true to your heart)
