I'm Glad You waited

A/N: GAY GAY GAY! I LOVE VELVET GOLDMINE AND CURT AND ARTHUR SHALL HAVE MAD WILD SEX!!!! IN THE NEXT CHAPTER!!!!

Arthur looked down at the pin in the palm of his hand and smiled. He felt so out of it after what had just happened. Seeing Curt made everything seem so real. Like the last 10 years of his life really did happen and he had not just dreamed it all. When he saw him sitting there everything was put crystal clear for him. His whole life made sense and the part of it that Curt was involved had never been more important.

Sure, he had seen him before, on the street, on the subway stairs case, his face covered in shadows. But he had never truly let himself believe that it was Curt he was seeing. He thought it was just another good-looking man with long blonde hair. But he knew it was Curt, somewhere inside him he knew. He just was not ready yet. But when he saw him in the bar, he was ready.

Then Curt just left and Arthur was left sitting in the bar with a half drunken beer and on the table and a pin in the palm of his hand, feeling weird and sentimental. Everything replaying repeatedly in his mind in perfect detail. The way the moon looked the night they were up on that rooftop together, everything Curt had ever said to him, everything he had ever learned about the man, which was not that much. He was sitting their lost in his recollections absentmindedly toying with the pin in his hand. He didn’t know how long he sat there playing with it, thinking of the past but finally he just stood up and dropped the money for the beer on the table.

He had been thinking about the past to much, and a need was growing inside him. He had to take a long walk and a cold shower. He knew he could not have Curt the way he wanted and needed. Arthur cast another slightly sad glance at the smiling faces all around the bar. Inside he smiled with them for his whole life finally made some short of sense for the first time in all his years. He stepped out of the bar and into the cold night.

As soon as he took one-step away from the bar, a hand grabbed his arm and yanked him away. He let out an “Oof!” noise as he was shoved against the wall of an ally way he was dragged into.

“God took you long enough. I was freezing out here. So fucking cold,” A voice breathed in the shell of his ear.

“Curt...?” Arthur blinked when the man pulled away from his neck and gazed into his eyes. “What are you doing here?”

“I was waiting for you. Don’t ask why okay? I have no idea,” He pressed himself up against Arthur again, “All I know is that...I couldn’t leave you again.” Arthur didn’t realize when he slipped his arms around Curt’s waist, but Curt did. He leaned as close to Arthur as he could, craving physical attention. “It’s better in a way, that it happened like this. Before...if I hadn’t of left you on that roof, if I had stayed, you would have gotten hurt much more then you were. There was something about you, I could feel it, and that something made it impossible for me to hurt you like I’ve done to so many people before you. It’s hard to explain...I just...didn’t want you to get hurt and I felt that leaving you would be better for you. But when you said my name tonight...something inside me just made it so I knew I could never leave you like that again.” Curt had his arms resting on the wall around Arthur’s head, pinning him in.

Arthur looked into Curt’s eyes in wonderment, “I don’t...I don’t know what to say... I saw you and...everything just clicked...that’s makes no sense.” Arthur took a deep breath, “I’m glad you waited for me...”

“I’m glad I waited to,” Curt whispered as he leaned closer and planted a kiss on Arthur’s lips. Arthur tried to pull Curt closer but found out the only way to do that was to pull him inside him. That seemed like a good plan.
