Buddy's Breaking Point

At 8:34 at night, a police car pulled up to a house in the suburbs of Metroville. A police man climbed out of the passenger's side, and opened the back door. Little Buddy Pine, no more then ten at the time, slowly dragged himself out of the back of the car. He'd had the entire car ride to brood over what his father was going to do to him.

The police man had to take Buddy's arm and practically drag him up the front steps. He knocked on the door, and it opened slowly. Buddy's breath caught in his throat; His mother answered the door. That meant his father was too enraged to act civil in front of strangers.

Mary Pine played the worried mother in front of the police man as Buddy slinked past her and headed quickly for the stairs. One look from his father sitting in his arm chair stopped him, and Buddy looked away as his mother shut the door and waited for the car to drive off.

"Louis," His father started, "You told us you were going to Henry's house."

Buddy nodded slowly, mentally steeling his nerves for whatever his father had in mind.

Franklin Pine stood up, his stature towering over his son. "Do you realize how embarrassing this will be when everyone finds out?"

Buddy gulped as he saw his father reach for his pants. "I wanted to help. Mr Incredible doesn't have a sidekick, and every great hero does, right?"

Buddy immediatly regretted opening his mouth as his father undid his belt. His mother walked into the kitchen, sealing Buddy's fate.

As his wife left, Frank walked over to Buddy and ripped the mask right off his son's face.

Buddy yelled as the face glue ripped the top layer of flesh from around his eyes. He covered his face with his hands, tears sprouting from the pain and fear of what was to come.

He didn't have any time to contemplate as his father immediatly whipped his buttocks. "This is for lying, Louis! Don't you ever lie to us again!"

Three harsh whippings followed until Buddy gave up on standing and fell to his knees, tears falling freely from his eyes.

"Take off your pants."

Buddy obeyed, more out of fear of what would happen if he didn't. If he disobeyed his father now, the punishment would only increase. His pants around his bent knees, he felt his father give him three more lashes on his behind.

"Look at you!" His father began, "Prancing around in tights! You disgust me!"

Frank lashed his belt at his son's rump but missed, landing the belt on his back. Buddy cried out, taken entirely by surprise. His father grew more zealous, pulled up his son's shirt and started whipping his back.

"Pop," Buddy grunted. "Ple-please stop!"

"Stop?" His father stepped backwards at this atrocity. "I know when to stop."

His father beating him with a leather belt, Buddy soon became blind to the pain, like a wildebeast before the lioness delivers the death-blow. His arms gave way under him and he fell to the floor, tears staining the carpet under him.

His father recoiled his belt, and kicked Buddy's side once. "I hope your happy. Look what you've made me do!"

His father stormed upstairs and Buddy laid there, listening to the sound of the welts forming on his back and behind. As his mother quietly went upstairs, something in Buddy Pine snapped.

A syndrome of a sickness that could never be cured.
