Chapter 1

Greedily, Dracula licked the blood off his fingers.
It tasted strange, but it held also a flavour that he had never experienced before.

The strong mix of his own and Gabriel´s wolf-blood burned on his tongue and told him dangerous stories of wild power and dark rage, but also mad panic and mortal confusion.

The vampire smiled.
He still was surprised and intrigued about werewolf-blood running through Gabriel´s veins.
What a powerful nemesis to fight against…but also a unique chance to make the wolf his newest property.

Smiling down at Gabriel, Vladislaus took a quick glance towards the window. Dark clouds covered the moon´s bright light. He would have a couple moments to talk to Gabriel. From man to man.

Quicker than the human eye could follow, he moved down to where Gabriel was standing, breathing and sweating heavily from the unbearable pain of his change.
The vampire hunter kept edging away, while Dracula slowly advanced.

“All I wanted was life, Gabriel…”, Vladislaus said, eyes locking with the werewolf, who still was careful to keep a distance between him and the vampire master.

No reply came to his mind and so he waited for what the Count had to say.

Step by step, Dracula moved forward to close the space between them.

“Do not be afraid…Gabriel…”, Vladislaus whispered and caught a glimpse of confusion in Gabriel´s eyes.

That voice, speaking his own name, haunted Gabriel´s mind.
And so did other phrases. Whispered promises and hissed memories.

“I know who you are…”

“Gabriel……………….”

“I´ll give you your life back.”

“…we were friends. Partners. Brothers.”

“Gabriel……………….”

Dracula smiled slightly. He almost had Gabriel where he wanted him to be.
Full of doubts and confusion. Tempted to listen to what Vlad had to say.

If only the clouds wouldn´t have given the full moon free again…
Van Helsing groaned with agony and doubled over in pain.

To be continued…
