Dead Sexy

Chapter 1

Freedom

The invisible force held the ghosts on the Black Zodiac as it slowly spun
around. All of their eyes were fixated on the two kids at the center of it.
Jean, the Withered Lover, panicked thinking if the force let them go, her
children would surely die. She could see the lust in the Jackal's eyes as they
were glued on her daughter, Kathy.

The ghosts caught a glimpse of the man who had them put here, Cyrus Kriticos. He
was fighting with the children's father, Arthur. They all wanted revenge seeing
the man with the cane. It was as if suddenly their minds were read as the
machine released the hold it had on the ghosts. The Latin spells broken by
someone playing with the levers and tapes. The ghosts were no longer held
captive as they stepped back off the Black Zodiac looking over in the direction
of the two men.

They all held back from attacking the children. It was Cyrus they all wanted as
he lie on the floor half dazed from being hit. Quickly moving over to the older
man, they picked him up. Without a second thought they threw him into the sharp
spinning blades and watched the man be sliced to pieces.

Dennis stayed out of sight from the ghosts fearing they'd attack him next seeing
as he helped put them here. He only phased into sight when the ghosts had all
moved away from Arthur. He stood against a glass panel cleaning his glasses
waiting to talk to Arthur.

Soon, the machine started to tear apart causing the house to shake and shatter
all around them. The ghosts remained to the side and watched the father of the
two kids leap into the eye, just missing the spinning blades. The ghosts stood
there holding back from killing the family in the middle of the Black Zodiac.
Before any of the ghosts knew it, the house exploded sending them all through
broken glass and out onto the lawn. Dennis was tossed out too.

Once everything cleared and settled down, Dennis scrambled toward Arthur's car
and hid behind it. All the ghosts were out on the lawn steadying themselves and
trying to figure out what the hell just happened. The only ghost not present was
the Withered Lover.

Dennis waited patiently for Arthur and his family to come outside. Peeking
around the station wagon, he noticed all the ghosts had taken off into the
woods. Breathing a sigh of relief he turned his head back and noticed the Torn
Prince's Chevy sitting on the lawn. Dennis was sure Royce had gone into the
woods too. It was awhile before he heard noises coming from the house.

He stood up as the family and the nanny came stumbling out of the ruined Glass
House. He noticed none of them were wearing any of the special glasses. Dennis
flickered back inside quickly scooping up as many pairs as he could mange to
find.

Phasing back outside, he called Arthur's name holding out a pair of the glasses
to him. Arthur brought Dennis into sight putting the glasses on his face. The
kids and Maggie saw Arthur talking to someone. Bobby had had enough and went to
lie down on the backseat waiting for his dad to leave. Kathy and Maggie walked
up to Arthur as glasses were held out to them in mid air.

Kathy grabbed the two pairs and handed one to Maggie where they put them on
seeing the clairvoyant standing near them. Maggie shook her head and hands near
Dennis' face.

"Enough of this ghost shit. I want out of here." The nanny said walking toward
the car where Bobby was fast asleep on the seat.

Dennis shook Arthur's hand and walked back to the car with Kathy. Turning his
head quickly, Dennis spied the Torn Prince leaning against his car smoking a
cigarette. The teen wasn't paying the family any mind while he stared at the
remains. Dennis clutched Arthur's sleeve and ushered him quickly to his car.
Arthur turned his head to see a battered red car on the lawn with the ghost that
had attacked him and Dennis while they were holding the sheet of glass. Fearing
for his children's lives, he opened the driver's side door and went to start the
car.

Kathy and Maggie caught what Arthur and the clairvoyant were staring at.
Maggie's jaw dropped open remembering that same ghost smacking Dennis on the
side of the head. Cautiously, Maggie went to open the door of the car to get in
when the Torn Prince turned his head slowly in their direction.

Maggie fumbled more with the car door handle not taking her eyes off the ghost.
Kathy was staring at the Torn Prince and jumped when she saw him move a bit away
from his wrecked car. She clutched Maggie tightly where they both tried to get
the car door open as their hands shook.

"Go...GO!" Dennis yelled as he saw the Torn Prince turned his head in their
direction.

Maggie had jumped in the backseat pushing Bobby over a bit and Kathy hopped in
the front seat. Arthur turned the key and the car wouldn't start. Again he
turned the key as the car tried to start but went dead. The next turn of the key
produced no sound from the vehicle.

"This is great! Just great!" Arthur yelled as Dennis leaned in his driver's side
window.

"Of course this would happen! Why not? What else could go wrong?" He blurted out
keeping his eyes on the ghostly teen.

Royce had opened his car door and got in ready to split the scene. He sat there
for a bit watching the family still trying to start their car. Inhaling his
cigarette, he stepped out of his car reaching on the ground to pick his bat up.
Dennis and Arthur saw the bat in the teen's hands and panicked.
Royce stood up and writhed his bat in his hands as he started a slow pace toward
Arthur and his family. Dennis' eyes widened in fear as the teen moved closer and
closer.
