RECOVERY OF THE SOUL

CHAPTER ONE: TALES OF THE CAPTIVE

Will entered the Captains quarters dripping ringlets of water from every pore of his body, having just been recently thrown from an unknown band of pirates ship, caught up in a mutiny where a young blacksmith captive were to be turned sacrifice to Davey Jones Locker.
The young blacksmith was shivering and trembling from the cold winter waters of the Northern seas, Captain Jack pulled the quilt off his large bed and wrapped it around his arms, around the young man's body and pulled him close for body heat.
"You mind telling me what you were doing so far north on that plank of wood?" Jack asked.
Between shivers, Will reached his arms around the Captains waist and buried his frozen locks into the depths of of the Captains warm neck. The event came so naturally and comfortably that neither man gave much thought to the action.
"I'm cold." Will mumbled into Jacks ear.
"I suppose you are. The waters here off the New England Coast gets cold enough to cut like a dagger. I asked you a question, Will!"
"Elizabeth was given an ultimatum" Will continued. "Marry me and loose her Father forever or marry Commodore Norrington and obtain wealth, comfort and life. She chose the latter." Will chattered between his teeth.
Jack pulled Wills chin up to peer into his eyes while Will continued.
"I bartered passage on the first ship out of Port Royal to Tortuga looking for you. I was told by Giselle that you went exploring the New World, then I traded my freedom for passage north.
"I was assigned with being a personal servant to the Captain. I can not speak of the responsibilities I was forced to uphold." He shuddered at the thought.
Jack saw a wave of innocence escape his blacksmith's eyes. He placed a kiss on the back of each eyelid and pulled him a little closer.
"Well you are no servant here aboard the Pearl. You will be treated with utmost respect. Now let's get you out of those wet clothes." Jack replied.
As Will's fingers were too frozen to navigate the buttons of his tunic, and try he did, Jack reached under the quilt and carefully undid the stubborn accessories. He slipped the tunic off the young man's body, he removed his wet leather boots and let the drenched breeches fall to the floor. He pulled the quilt tighter around Wills naked, goose fleshed form and escorted him to the bed. He opened the large doors on the armoire and pulled several woolen blankets, neatly stacked and folded, down from their perch. Once Will was curled up in the bed, he proceeded to cover him up and tuck him in, handing him a full bottle of rum in the process.
"I won't ask of your duties to your Captain, Will. But know that when you are ready and the opportune moment arrives I am ready to listen."
"He was NOT my Captain!" Will shouted.
He took a large lengthy drink from the glass bottle, nodded, a tear falling from his eye.
Feeling a moment of immense compassion, Jack climbed into the bed next to Will and encircled him with his arms.
Once Will had drained the full bottle of rum, a feat he had been practicing the last 3 weeks of his life, having stolen the stockpiles aboard his prison, he fell asleep warm, dry and safe with HIS Captain looking on protectively.
He awoke a full day later to the mattress rising and falling to the roll of the sea and an empty room. He realized at that moment that he, both, never felt so lonely in his life and yet content at the same time. His body gave a start to the sound of the cabin door slowly creaking open. He sat up in bed, head leaning against the wooden headboard and pulled then blankets tight under his chin.
"Good morning." He addressed Jack, whose arms were laden with bowls of stew, steaming bread and mugs of hot coffee on a tray.
"Good evening." The Captain corrected. "You've slept 12 hours. You must be hungry?"
"I am. I have not eaten in 3 days. That is how long I floated on that God forsaken pile of wood."
"Good God!" Jack exclaimed. He set down the tray on the foot of the bed and handed him a bowl of stew, which Will ate eagerly, almost without breathing. When Jack handed him the coffee, he grabbed the mug, took a drink and asked "What, no rum?"
"I think you have had enough of that for the day, my dear lad." he replied, handing him a piece of bread that he tore off the loaf.
Once Will finished His stew, Jack's stew, the entire loaf of bread and four cups of coffee, he slid back down on the bed.
"Jack?" he whispered
"Will?" Jack whispered back.
"I'm ready to talk. On one condition." Will bartered.
"That being?" Jack asked.
"That you climb under these quilts and not say a word the whole time."
"You've got yourself a deal. Good terms, good pirate." Jack replied, pulling off his boots, belt, sword and sash. He climbed into the bed, placing himself behind Will, whose head promptly landed in his lap. Will pulled the blankets up over their bodies and leaned his head back to look up at Jack.
"NOT a word!" Will harshly reprimanded.
"We have an accord." Jack replied, placing his hands on Wills bare chest, palms resting on his brown nipples under the blankets.
Moments passed in silence, then salty tears began to roll from Wills eyes and down his cheeks. He released a sniffle or two, leaned over and dried his nose on Jacks sleeve.
"Sorry." Will smiled
"It's okay, mate." Jack responded.
Will snapped his fingers and pointed aggressively towards Jacks mouth. Jack mocked locking his lips with a key and threw them over his shoulder.
"When I first boarded the Hades' Blade I was informed that I would be the Captain's servant, a slave as it were. 'I can do that' I thought to myself. Waiting on him, swabbing the deck, even polishing his smelly boots. But what I did not know was what I was really in for." Will trailed off.
Jack knew where this was going. He knew it was traumatic.
"I will let you in on something, Jack. What I lost on that ship was my soul. I lost my will to live. But I lost so much more." He shifted his body so that his ear was pressed against Jack's comforting lap. He reached up with his hand and gripped Jack's thigh under the blankets.
"On the second night I was escorted to the Captain's quarters. The Captain ordered me to remove my clothing, which I reluctantly did, then he shackled me to a ring hanging on the wall. He informed me that for the next 7 days and 7 nights I would be beat into submission and do what I was told.
On the third night the Captain returned to his quarters, after I had been beaten for 3 days by the crew. I had not eaten or had water in all of those days. He placed a loaf of moldy bread and a tankard of water at my feet. He released me from my shackles.
Although the bread was nothing to be desired and the water not fit for even a rat, I consumed them as if it were a meal set for the King of England. Once I had finished the Captain informed me that I would now have to trade the only thing I had left, my body.
He walked me over to a desk, shackled my legs to said desk, tied my upper body to the desk top and violated me in the most humiliating way I can even fathom.
The pain of what I endured was the most bloody experience I have ever had. I think, though, that the sounds emitting from his throat and the humiliation that I encountered was worse. I was tormented in this way, with severe beatings in between, and sometimes during, every evening for 3 weeks, up until the mutiny.
I was offered a choice by the crew, join the mutiny, as a slave or be thrown over board to Davey Jones Locker. I chose death.
Minutes after I was tossed into the sea the ship exploded and the pile of wood from the wreckage became what I later contemplated as either my savior or my demise." Will rolled over onto his stomach and buried his face in Jacks lap. He brought his arms up around Jacks waist and began to tremble.
"Will, I need to know this Captains name. I have never heard of this ship. I will stop at nothing to find him if he is still alive and if he is not alive I will curse his soul to be condemned forever."
Will sat up in Jacks lap, the blankets falling to his waist.
"Captain Dante." he stated. "and he lives. I saw him row away when the mutiny began."
Jack stood up on the mattress quickly, walked across it and hopped to the floor.
"You need a hot bath!" he ordered and exited the room. He returned moments later with members of the crew behind him carrying a large tub. They started a fire in the fireplace and placed several iron kettles of water over the fire. Once the tub was full and steam was rising from the surface Jack ordered the crew from his quarters. He walked over to the bed, took Will by the hand and guided the naked young man to the tub.
"In!" he pointed.
"Okay." Will smiled and climbed into the wooden tub of hot water. He slid down , resting his neck on the edge.
Jack came up behind him and with one of the coffee mugs began to ladle hot water into his hair.
"You'll never be for want or need, my friend. I plan to spend every moment of every day and every second of every night making sure that you never hurt or I will die trying." Jack announced "Savvy?"
"Savvy." Will answered back.
"Jack?" Will questioned.
"Will?" Jack replied.
"Jack, I love you." Will whispered.
"I know." Jack responded as he lathered soap into Wills wavy hair. He proceeded to rinse the soap from his hair when Will reached up and wrapped his arms around Jack's neck.
"Get in?" he asked.
Jack stood up, undressed and slid into the tub behind Will. He wrapped his arms around his chest, slid his legs on both sides of Will's body and pulled him against him.
Will looked up at Jack behind and above him and brought his lips to his lightly.
They lay in that tub until the water turned tepid. When their skin became soggy from the excessive amount of water they had absorbed, they climbed out of the tub, into the bed and slept in each others arms until the morning rays penetrated the shutters of the Captains Quarters.
Will awoke to find Jack lying next to him, threads of sunlight striping his bare chest, interrupted only by lines of shade in between. He rolled over and pulled his arm around his body. Jacks eyes blinked open and he looked down atop Wills head.
"We should go topside, after all, I am the Captain." he stated.
"K" Will answered.
The two dressed in silence. As Will reached for the door handle Jack grasped his wrist, turned him on his heels and placed a passionate kiss upon his lips.
"We have no secrets, Will. The crew will know of our new relationship the moment our feet step on deck. It would be hard to conceal my feelings for you and I have no desire to do so." Jack said firmly.
"Are you sure they will understand?" Will asked.
"It matters not as to wether they understand. What matters is that they accept and any man who chooses not to accept or voices his opinion on such matters will be let off at the nearest port." Jack answered.
Will responded with the only words he knew how.
"K" he whispered, he placed his arms around Jack's neck, pulled him close and placed his lips onto his. He slipped his tongue into Jacks warm mouth and pressed his body against his. He felt Jacks cock twitch at the passionate moment.
The two stepped back from each other, turned to the door and headed topside.
