Summary: Jack has taken a lover, you, and has hidden you away in order to keep you safe from the Commodore and his other enemies. Jacks knows that having a lover is forbidden among pirates, only because they leave them vulnerable, and even worse he’s fallen in love with you. What will happen when he crosses that line that he’s already set down in the beginning? After three years of being a lover, how will you take the idea of him wanting something more?

You sit on the beach at the edge of the water, watching…waiting. His letter that had arrived two weeks earlier and said that he would be returning tonight. Going on five months of pent-up sexual frustration that only he can satisfy and his word, you sit in the summer air, taking in the sight of the setting sun across the water. You never did seem to get over such a beautiful sight; reds, oranges, yellows, pinks, and purples all blended together and reflected off of the water, bringing a sense of calmness to you. A breeze comes in off of the water, bringing the salty smell with it, as it tosses your hair that you didn’t bother to fix that day. Why would you? Jack always liked your hair down and something as simple as that, you couldn’t deny him.

Several hours later when the ship comes into view, the only light to be seen was the moon reflecting off of the water. Jack has already extinguished the lights on the ship and the Black Pearl glides in the darkness, through the stillness of the bay and into the cove for cover, causing small wakes to ripple across the surface of the water and onto the sand at your feet. You hear muffled voices and a splash, knowing they’ve dropped anchor. You hear another three splashes, not as loud as the first as they lower the row boats. You know it will only be minutes before you’re in his arms.

You hear the low laughter of the pirates as they row to shore, the gently sway of the lanterns that hung from the front of the boats telling you they were coming nearer. As the boats grow closer to land, you hold your nervous fingers within your hands. No other man could ever bring to the state of a quivering mass like Jack Sparrow. You stomach never clenched when you heard another mans name like it did with Jack.

The boats bump against the wooden dock that stretched out on to the water, several of the crew jumping out excitedly to secure them. The entire crew was ready to go down into the heart of Tortuga, find a good drink, a warm bed, and a willing woman for the night. You were ready to have Jack in your bed as well, holding him hostage until he had to leave in the morning for the next couple of months. He would be gone until it was safe to return again.

With Commodore Norrington around, hanging pirates left and right, it was too risky to stay anywhere more than one night. Right now, Tortuga was barely safe from the man. The home Jack had found for you was located on the quieter side of the island. What drew him to the place was the cove that was curtained by the hanging branches of the trees to hide the Black Pearl from curious eyes. The house itself was also concealed unless you knew where to look for it.

He had brought his crew there for a month, working day and night on the house. Jack had paid them considerably more for the effort since they weren’t carpenters to begin with. The house was not overly large, nor was it small. It served well for your needs, as well as Jacks when he was home with you which hadn’t been anymore than a night in over a year. When it was done, he had sailed back to Jamaica to get you from the aunt who had tried to sell you for a small amount of coin after having you dropped into her lap after the death of your parents. He had arranged to pay her triple to wait until he returned to get you which she gladly accepted, feeling that she was making out better in the end.

As you recall your life before Jack, your breath catches in your chest but you keep the tears at bay. That was almost three years ago and this was now. Now you were happy even if you were alone most of the time but you managed. The thoughts of the past vanished as the last of the crew step from the boats and onto the docks.

“There’s a meal in the kitchen” you tell them. “Please, help yourselves.” As they all come and give you hugs and kiss your cheeks at the gesture, you hear sound of the crews retreating feet as they run over the dock and race for the house, knowing that whatever you cooked was going to be the best they had had in months. After taking care of the crew, your mind returns to your thoughts of Jack as you look inside each boat then questioningly at Gibbs, his first mate. “Where is he?” you ask, praying that something hadn’t happened in the two weeks since his letter.

“He’s waitin’ on the ship for ya” Gibbs replies and eases your mind, taking your hand to assist you down into the boat. “No interruptions” he whispers and winks, causing you to cock an eyebrow at the older man. It wasn’t a secret about you and Jack to the crew but none had been so bold as to say a word about it.

“The oars?” you question, staring around the boat. All that was there were a few empty bottles and extra fabric for the sails.

“No need,” came his simple reply and gives a low whistle. You feel a slight tug, grabbing on to the sides of the boat as it floated quickly away from the dock. Gibbs only smiles and starts up the stairs to the house. An hours walk after dinner and he would be in a tavern, relaxing for the night.

The sight of the rope at the back of the boat makes you smile at Jacks craftiness. As you are pulled over the water, leaning backwards to admire the stars and moon that hung over head, you could only wonder why he was having you come to the ship. You would admit that the thought of something as clever as this to ensure your privacy was well thought out.

The boat bumps gently against the Black Pearl as the two meet and you climb the rope ladder that hangs over the side. Barely two feet from the top when a hand reaches over and takes yours; you look up to see Jacks face, smiling down at you, several of his black dreadlocks falling into view. Giving no objection and only a smirk, you are hauled over the side of the ship and into your lovers waiting arms.

“’Ello darling” he whispers, his voice muffled from his face in your hair, breathing in the scent that is only yours. God, how he missed not seeing you for months on end and just holding you puts his mind to rest. The thought of him coming home and you not being there plagues him every day. Just the idea of someone coming here, like Norrington, and taking you away from him makes him sick to his stomach.

“Hello lover,” you reply, his lips finding yours. He’s already pulling at the dress you wore, expertly unbuttoning the long line of buttons that ran down the back and his hand slipping inside to feel your warm skin.

You pull his shirt over his head to reveal his sun-kissed skin to your gaze, hearing the trinkets that adorn his dreaded hair clinking together. A moan escapes past your lips as his mouth trails down your body; first your neck, over your collarbone, to the swell of your breasts over the dress. The sensitive muscles between your legs tighten at the feel of his mouth on your body. You need him and you need him now.

You can feel his swollen shaft throbbing against your stomach and your hands relieve him of the sash around his waist and his pants, allowing his body release from the confines of his clothes. Just as fast, Jack has your dress in a pool at your feet, pulling you from the material in to his arms. There, you find the contact you’ve been looking for; skin on skin, flesh on flesh.

“I’ve missed you” he whispers against your throat as he nips at the skin, pushing you backwards against the railing of the ship. You lean backwards under his weight that presses against you and Jack watches the moons light on your skin as your back arches. The cool air causes your nipples to tighten into little buds and you see the look in his eyes, the look that tells you that you were going to be in for a long night, and you weren’t going to complain one bit.

He turns you around with your hands gripping the rail and pushes into you from behind, holding you firmly as you try to move away from new intrusion. “Jack!” you gasp, your fingers gripping the railing tightly. How was it possible that the man could feel any bigger from this angle? Sometimes you still had a hard time taking him in bed. Not that you were complaining, any contact with him was intoxicating.

He withdraws to tip of his shaft only to ram inside of you again and again, deeper and deeper in to your wet warmth with each thrust. His left arm locks around your waist, pulling you down onto him as he pushes inside of you, hitting the one spot that Jack knows would drive you crazy. You try to stay as quiet as possible but Jack pushes you further and further, knowing that at any moment you’ll break.

He senses the reserve that you have and his other hand slides downward, slipping between your legs until his fingers find where you meet. His thumb rubs briskly over the tiny nub amongst the curls and you cry out at the exquisite pleasure. A wicked smile creeps over his face at the sounds coming from your mouth, letting him know that he can still satisfy your every need or want sexually.

Little did he know that after him, you were ruined for other men. Not that you had any men before Jack; you had been untouched the first time he’d taken you to bed. You remembered the first time, the pain of taking someone of his size, and the look on his face when he’d realized he was your first. Something about his understanding had touched you and he’d taken you gently the first time. He had been so loving and careful not to cause you anymore pain than nessesary, making you crest over that blinding peak several times before he came with you the final time that night. You had become so bold since that night.

Your hand creeps backwards around his neck, your mouth seeking his but Jack won’t submit. His mouth bites into your neck and shoulders, knowing that there will be marks there by morning. He withdraws from you quickly and you whimper at the loss. You are spun around and his lips capture yours as you are lifted from the deck, you legs locking around his waist and he slips back inside. Your head to fall backwards and his lips take advantage of the exposed area of your neck and you press yourself closer to him in an arch. Jack leans down, pulling your nipple into his mouth, rolling the tiny bud around with his tongue and biting gently with his teeth, making your head come back around and Jacks mouth locks with yours, sending electrical sparks through every fiber of your body. His tongue is welcomed into your mouth with your own and you delight in the velvety softness of it as it tangles with yours.

Jack feels you tightening around him, knowing that you’ll peak before he does this time but it won’t be that last tonight. You feel the sensation flowing through your body and you cry out against Jacks neck, your muscles tightening around him and body stiffening as you find your release but he keeps going. He had been trying to make it to his cabin but the helm was there first and he couldn’t resist the wicked idea. He presses your back against the wheel of the boat and you grab onto the pegs as he slams into you, the wood biting into your back with each of his thrusts. His hands support your weight until he knows your legs around definitely locked at his waist then he grabs to pegs in your grasp, intwinnning your fingers together, giving him leverage. Jacks feels his own body coming close to release and he drives deeply inside of your for a handful of blinding, earth shattering thrusts.

Your cries of passion fill the cove, echoing off the walls and into the night air as you feel him erupting inside of you, pinning you roughly against the wheel as he came. Jack feels you tightening around him again as you fly over the edge with him, taking everything that he can give you at that moment. Both of your sweat-covered bodies stick together as he slumps against you, nuzzling you neck. He tastes the salty drops that run down your neck with his lips, pressing kisses to the skin that he can reach without moving. Jack could have stayed right there and been fine but his main concern was you and he makes his way to his cabin with you in his arms, still intimately joined.

You feel the cool sheets against your back as you are laid on the bed and you close your eyes, loving the feeling of being completely used by the man. To the left, the bed sinks under Jacks weight as he lies down next to you, a finger pushing chunks of your sweaty hair from your face. He props his head up on his hand as he takes in the view of your body, his eyes devouring every inch of the creamy skin. Your heavy-lidded eyes flutter open and you smile which he returns. Your hand reaches up to his face, your fingers running lightly over his lips until he pulls one into his mouth, his sucking gently on it. It amazed you how Jack never seemed to tire when you saw his deep brown eyes darken.

“I wish we had more time” you whisper, turning your face away but he grips your jaw, turning your face back to his gaze.

“Don’t start any of that” he says. He knows that you’re going to cry thinking about the lack of time that you both have. “Take what time we have and use it wisely” he says slyly, the mischievous look in his eyes as he rolls on top of you, making you forget time and all for the rest of the night as he presses your body down into the mattress with his.

While it is still dark outside, Jack carries you along the beach and up to the house. The sun has an hour before its face will show and he knows he must leave by then. He uses his key to open the door; he knows it was stupid to relish in something as simple as having a key to his house that you share but he did. It was always the small things that seemed to matter the most to him, especially when they were shared with you.

He pushes the door closed quietly with the heel of his boot. As he ascends the stairwell, you stir and your arms wrap around his neck, burying your face into his shoulder. Jack feels no remorse for how tired you will be in the morning, nor the aches and pains that will be in your muscles. He always left you with a smile, despite the bruises and the pain and that brought a smile to his own face.

Once inside the bedroom, he lays you on the king size bed he had found in France. He had taken one look at it and known that you would love it and since you would love it, you would own it. He also brought back a dresser and a night stand among other pieces of furniture in the house that he knew you’d like. He looked at the candles that surround the room; one of your many fetishes.

Detangling your arms from his neck, he now couldn’t figure out for the life of him how to get his jacket off without waking you. He had wrapped his brown leather coat around you on the ship, knowing it would be easier than the dress, now getting it back off was going to be a problem. He knows that if he wakes you, the tears will start and they will break his heart. He pulls gently on the jacket a few times but every time he does, you stir more and more and he won’t take the chance. He has another on the ship and he’ll leave this one here with you.

Jack stares down at you, thinking you to be an angel that fell from heaven into his lap. He could think of no other way to describe your entrance into his life. He knows that he doesn’t deserve you but you tell him it was the other way around. Guiltiness floods him at the fact that he had cut you off from all life by hiding you here on the island but he couldn’t help himself. The Commodore was so intent on capturing him that he knew if Norry found you, he’d use you to his advantage and Jack wouldn’t risk it, couldn’t risk it.

He runs his fingers through your hair that cascades over the pillow in waves; the tresses flow through his fingers like the softest silk. Your lips were still reddened from his kisses and pouted in your sleep. He rubbed a hand over his heart, feeling the funny little glitch that happened there more and more often over the past year, every time he saw you or thought about you. Jack knew what it was and had tried to fight it but he knew it was impossible. He was in love. Somewhere in the last three years, in the handfuls of visits he was able to make, he’d fallen completely in love with you.

Jack walked around to his side of the bed and laid down, edging over next to you. You hand reached out in your sleep and he sat up quickly. He watched with sadness as your hand encountered nothing but a cold pillow and you made a whimpering sound in your sleep, pulling your hand back to you and curled into a protective ball. Jack thought it was finally safe to try to lean down for a kiss when you started to squirm again, pulling at the jacket that covered you. Finally free of it, you toss it to the ground and roll on to your side, covering your face with a hand like you were crying and Jack closed his eyes. He knew you dreamt of him leaving and was helpless to do a thing. Damned if you do and damned if you don’t, that was how he always felt when he left.

His long tanned fingers pulled the hair back that had fallen into your face and he leans down to your ear. He hesitates for a second, still wary on doing this again but can’t help himself. He had done it so many times before and couldn’t stop himself now. As he leans close, his large hand splays on your stomach, and quickly wonders why there has not been a child there yet. There would be soon enough if he had his way.

“I love you darling” he whispers, knowing that you would think you dreamed it and it would ease the dreams you would have that night like it had done so many before. He hated the fact he couldn’t tell you when you are awake but it was still to risky. “You can not imagine how deeply that I do,” and presses a kiss to your shoulder. With that, Jack slips a letter and a sprig of flowers from his pocket and lays them next to you. He knows the crew is already boarding the ship and he needed to return. He picks up his discarded jacket and walks to the door, his boots clicking softly on the wood.

Your eyes open as you hear his retreating footsteps but are helpless to call him back. “I love you Jack” you say aloud, louder than you should have but you’d said the words and there was no taking them back. You hear his footsteps falter just outside of the door, stopping, and then start again. You knew he heard you return the sentiment and it saddens you that he didn’t come back but you knew he couldn’t. You light the three candles on the nightstand and the soft glow fills the room.

After pulling on your housecoat, you watch out the window as the last boat crosses the water, carrying Jack back to his ship. You take a deep breath, reminding yourself that tomorrow life would resume as normal. There would be the laundry that he would leave behind. A bag of coin would be on the table in the kitchen to use for food and what ever you wanted to buy along with another box of candles.

The cool night air hits your skin through the robe, you wish you still had his brown jacket. The leather smelled like him so much, the faint smell of the sea and rum that was your Jack. It had hurt terribly to know that he was leaving again and it caused you too much pain to be wrapped in it. You had to be rid of it. Watching until the last boat had reached the ship, you lay back down in the huge bed.

Your hand drifts over to his pillow, knowing that it will be empty but for the flowers, and you encounter something else. After smelling the flowers and laying them on your nightstand, you pick up the envelope. You sit up and stare at the it, seeing that it had been addressed to ‘My Mistress’ and you laugh. How many times had you told him that he was married to the sea and you were naught but his mistress? A hundred? A thousand? Too many to count. You pull open the envelope and withdraw a single sheet of paper.

A band of silver falls out into your lap and you pick it up, eyeing with intensity; its thick band had been embedded with rubies and amethysts encircling it entirely. The stones had lost some of the luster from being set down in to the silver but that was Jacks taste. He would never bring you a gift that would over shadow you. An overjoyed smile appears at the jewelry; there was always a new gift but never jewelry and you were delighted. You unfold the letter, reading it quietly to yourself:

Dearest Love,
You will read this after I have gone and I am sorry for causing your heart to break again. If I could stay and hold you until daybreak I would, committing every moment to memory. The way the sun looks on your face as it lights up the sky. The sleepy look in your eyes in the morning that I long to see again and have been unable to for some time. If it were possible, I would take you with me upon the sea and have no desire to return to land again but if something should happen to you, I would never forgive myself. Instead, I enclose a present. The ring is for you left hand and it comes with a promise that I will take you for myself as soon as I can. If it is safe enough upon my next return, I shall make it so then. I count the days.
All my love,
JS

The tears slip down your face, falling onto the paper in tiny round blotches, but you don’t bother to brush them away. The letter crumples in your hands as you cry for the loss of your lover, the hatred of the Commodore that keeps him away, for the fact that you were ruined for other men. Jack had made you completely his except for taking you as a wife but it was impossible and that had been part of the agreement in the beginning. Jack had said that he would never take a wife under any circumstances and now, it talks of it? Why would he play with your emotions like this? He had told you of how much danger you would be in on a daily basis and he wouldn’t put you through that. You had rolled you eyes, knowing that you couldn’t be the only woman in his life and that was he reason. Why would he want to give everything up for one woman?

“I hope those are happy tears, darling” you hear from behind you. You turn your head quickly to see Jack through your tear-filled eyes. He leans casually against the doorframe, arms crossed over his chest and that smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth that makes your stomach quiver. “Never was it my intention to make you cry.”

“What does this mean?” you ask, tossing the crumpled letter down onto the bed. “How many other women have you given them to Sparrow?” Jack didn’t flinch at the question but it had hit a nerve. He had known that the question would be asked at some point but he certainly wasn’t prepared for it tonight, not after what he had written you. He knew you had heard the rumors about him sometime before meeting him and knew how he was. Little did you know that after having you, he had given up every other woman. You had come to him pure and given that special gift to only him and after that, he knew that no other woman would compare to you. You were the only one he would ever want after that.

“None darling. You are the only one” Jack answers, walking into the room slowly with his hands still across his chest but his eyes glued to you.

“Why did you come back?” finally ridding your face of the tears.

“How could I not after you telling me such a sweet compliment?” he asks, coming to sit beside you on the bed. His rough hand cups your cheek, pushing away the remaining tears with his thumb. “It’s not every day I hear those beautiful words pass your lips.”

“And I meant them but I need answers Sparrow, not pretty words. What about the letter? The ring? You say you’ll never marry yet you talk of it in this letter. Either have me or let me go, Jack. I won’t have my emotions played with.” A few minutes go by with not a word spoken. He simply stares at you that same even stare that he always has on his face. “The sun’s going to be up soon Jack, you better leave. Christ, you know I’ll be here when you get back” you snap, and move to roll over and go back to sleep.

“Darling, I do intend on making you mine in every sense of the word” Jack says, catching your arm, not roughly but with enough pressure to make you turn back around. “I want to marry you more than anything in the world. And to be honest, I don’t give a damn about the sun. If I knew that Norry was comin’ tomorrow to take me to the gallows, I’d spend my last day right here,” he tells you, giving you a slight shake. “I know you heard me because you returned the words. I do love you, so much that I can’t put it into words. I had to come back after you said them to me. I love you darling” Jack says again and you can’t help but smile. He is saying it right to your face this time and it sounds so much sweeter to your ears.

“Tell me again” you ask, laying a hand on his cheek.

“I love you” he repeats, moving towards you. “I love you” you hear again as he pushes your robe from your shoulders and his lips are on your skin.

“I love you” you reply, your arms wrapped around his shoulders as he presses you back in to the mattress. As you submit to him once again, he slips the band over your ring finger, knowing the he wouldn’t have to ask you the question again.

Please review. I really enjoyed writing this one. Hope you did also. The sequel to this is Enfin Conclusion Du Ciel (Finally Finding Heaven).
